Muslim Convert Gets Nearly 12 Years in Prison for Online Threats Against ‘South Park’ Creators

A Muslim convert was sentenced to nearly 12 years in prison Friday for issuing threats against the creators of “South Park” and others he considered enemies of Islam, the Associated Press reported.

Jesse Curtis Morton, 33, ran the now-defunct Revolution Muslim website, which he used to threaten the creators of the Comedy Central show for what they considered insults to the prophet Muhammad. In the show’s now-infamous 200th and 201st episodes, viewers were led to believe Muhammad was shown disguised in a bear suit. Another defendant, Zachary Chesser, previously received 25 years in prison after he posted the writers’ addresses and told readers to “pay them a visit.”
Morton, who also goes by Younes Abdullah Mohammed, pleaded guilty in February to making the threats and also admitted to conspiring to solicit the murder of a Seattle cartoonist who participated in “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day,” according to Politico. The physical depiction of Muhammad is considered a grave offense in Islam.
Before his 11-and-a-half-year sentence was handed down, Morton offered an apology for his actions, saying he “contributed to a clash of civilizations,” according to the AP.
“I justified atrocities by Muslims simply because they were carried out by the weak against the powerful,” he said.
Morton admitted the website included calls for violent jihad and that he posted information from Al-Qaeda’s magazine on it. The magazine called for the Seattle artist’s death and featured an article titled, “How to Make a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom.”
According to the AP, prosecutor Gordon Kromberg said Morton’s site inspired many would-be jihadis, including “Jihad Jane” Colleen LaRose; Antonio Benjamin Martinez, who sought to bomb a military recruiting station; and Jose Pimental, who plotted to assassinate members of the U.S. military returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.
“Make a TV show we don’t like — we’ll slit your throat. Draw a cartoon we don’t like — we’ll slit your throat,” Kromberg said summed up Morton’s philosophy.
Morton was arrested last year in Morocco, where he had fled after Chesser was sentenced.

Their skin is so thin that it doesn’t take them much for them to (usually make outrageous threats that they will never follow up on because a ‘Good O’l American will beat the piss out of the and give them a rat tail with their turbans). I know plenty of women that have more internal fortitude than these angry little children. The bottom line is that they all have “Daddy Issues” and instead of addressing and solving their problems, they feel some need to make others pay for their own misery. I feel sorry for them and pray that God will show them the way of real strenght and LOVE. That is their choice. Until then, I won’t put up with their childish BS. What makes them think that they are so intellectually advanced that they can either force others to accept their viewpoints, or they kill you. It is obvious weakness. It’s ridiculous and uninspring. Here’s a thought: Raise people up to a better place by inspiring them, vs putting on a bomb vest and trying to bring them down to your own level of misery…………. It’s just a thought.

My preference would be to send him to a muslim country where he can eat dirt sandwiches like 90% of the rest of his “brothers”, but I’d settle for 15 years in prison if it keeps him from following through on his threats.
My only real regret is a 15 year sentence will be nowhere near that long…unless he threatens to slit the throats of his parole hearing board.

Whether they were spoken or written doesn’t matter either as long as they were not attached to a device which was set to blow up or spew dangerous powder. RightPolitically is correct, it is an evil cult, not a religion. muslims have allegiance to ONE NATION– the nation of islam. Just ask them they’ll tell you that. They should all be repatriated, all mosques razed and no immigration here even to visit, nor for education. Absolutely no citizenship for any arab unless they are Christian or Jew.
Islam is incompatible with the West.

I was wondering what kind of stupid remark you would post about this story. Remember not long ago when David Letterman was threatened by radical Muslims for things he said that “upset”them? How about the cartoons of Mohammed printed in newspapers in Denmark and Sweden which sparked riots all over the Islamic world and non Muslim people were killed. These are just two examples of many thousands in the past few years of Islamic Jihad hatred of non Muslims. I thought a “brilliant” person like you knew that Jews and athiests were at the top of the Koran’s hate list. I am still waiting for your proof that the Vatican is planning attacks on the USA by Swiss Guard suicide bombers. Where is your “evidence” that Protestants are planning suicide bomber attacks against the USA in their churches? You have zero proof of any “Christian terrorists” other than in your fertile paranoid beliefs and your Christophobic empty skull.
