Mystery Solved? White House Says Bo the Dog Was Never in Hawaii

President Barack Obama took family dog Bo for a shopping trip to a local PetSmart store. (Pool photo)
Questions swirled last week over President Barack Obama’s trip to PetSmart with family dog Bo, at the same time the presidential pooch was said to be vacationing in Hawaii with the rest of the first family.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser quoted a Hawaii resident who said his wife had seen the famed Portuguese Water Dog out walking before Bo made an appearance with the president back in Washington for a toy run.
Keith Koffler at the White House Dossier questioned whether Bo was flown back to participate in a “silly photo op,” postulating that either the Hawaii report was mistaken or that Bo might truly have hitched a ride back to D.C.
It now appears that the former was correct: A White House spokesman told the Star-Advertiser that Bo did not in fact travel to Hawaii with first lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha.
Additionally, Scott Miscovich, the resident who sparked all the speculation, released a statement taking back his original quote:
“It is now clear my wife saw another black dog walking our neighborhood. We would like to apologize to Bo and the Obama family for any inconvenience this may have caused them. We would also like to wish them a peaceful and Merry Christmas.”
A report about Bo accompanying the first family to Hawaii also appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, which has since corrected it story.

I certainly do not believe anything that obama or the White House people say!

How could he not know the difference between Bo and another black dog???? That was a lawyerly type statement that was released and hopefully someone finds out the truth.

He blasted Obama’s lack of leadership as being the worst in U.S. history. I wonder if this photo op got the Prez out of the office as well? We all know he’s the laziest damn president this country has ever had. He has taken more vacations than any other, and stayed behind from joining his family in Hawaii because of how it would make him appear during an election year. Well guess what! He wasn’t doing much good either way. Vote that sucker out in 2012, please everyone. Please!

Posted on December 26, 2011 at 2:56amAlthough eyewitness accounts can at times be inaccurate, I tend to agree with this – BO WAS there and someone had a “visit” from the pet czar who tried to pull the “Obi Wan” …. “This is not the dog you’re looking for… ummm…saw.”
One other thing, there is NO mistaking this breed for another type – a small child can describe BO.
