Naked Family Chanting ‘God Is Great’ Arrested Outside Pennsylvania High School

Police arrested an entire family outside a Pennsylvania high school Friday after they allegedly stripped naked and started chanting “God is great” and “Jesus Lord, savior.”

The four members of the Butler family, identified by the Delco Times as a mother, Sara, 43, and her children, Joanne, 23, Bessie, 22, and a 14-year-old boy, all face charges of defiant trespass, disorderly conduct and open lewdness.

Sara Butler is also being charged with corrupting the morals of a minor, Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Sara Butler arrived at the Upper Darby High School in suburban Philadelphia around 10 a.m., demanding to see a student to whom she may be related.

“Because she has no parental rights school officials would not release the child and said she couldn’t take the child out of school,” Chitwood told the Delco Times.

When school officials denied her request, the family members lay on the ground and began chanting, eventually taking off their clothing and climbing into a nearby van.

“They disrobed between parked cars and were running around chanting prayers to Jesus,” Chitwood said. “When police got there they locked their arms in defiant protest. When we get them back to the police station we gave them their clothes and the mom refuses to put her clothes on. She’s the leader of the pack.”

    If you haven’t asked Jesus into your heart and have never read the Bible nor prayed, please don’t identify yourself as Christian.
    It is not something you are born into. You choose it. Then your actions grow more Christ-like as you pray and read God’s Word.

      Muslims do not allow naked women, so they are not that religion. As negroes, they are obviously not Mormon-Americans but they could have been accepted by the Catholics who have tried to take over Africa and Asia and Mexico. Or like some very few commentators have stated here they could have been Christians, but I would say a special sect of Christians that believes in family nudist behavior like is done in Arizona and Florida.

      Well, technically nudity is only lewd if it is done to invoke a sexual response. Kneeling and chanting and praying is not something considered sexual, so I do not think the charges will stick.

      As I have stated SO MANY TIMES BEFORE, there are Christians, which ANYONE can call themselves, and then there are FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST, which actually FOLLOW CHRIST’S TEACHINGS AND DO THEM. These people were people who know the name Jesus, BUT ARE NOT TRUE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST. The Bible also tells Jesus’s followers to OBEY THE LAW OF THE LAND. These people broke the law. So, are they Christians or follower of Christ?
      THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN MY EYES – NOWADAYS. I hear the term CHRISTIAN thrown around carelessly all the time. Obama calls himself a Christian, AND HE ISN’T A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST.

      See the difference? Christian is a CATCH-ALL WORD for people who attend church and who PRETEND (some do but need to know the difference) to know God and the Bible. They are mostly wolves in sheeps’ clothing.

      BUT, when you have become a FOLLOWER OF CHRIST, you do not exalt yourself, but you exalt Christ; you do not hurt others; you follow the exact teachings in the Bible AND NOT OF THE CHURCH; you pray daily and study your Bible often; you tithe and/or give offerings to help others, as Christ directs you through HIS HOLY SPIRIT.

      See the difference now? So, those who fall into the 2nd category (followers of Christ) may just want to stop calling themselves Christians. IT HAS BECOME A CHEAP WORD. I often ask people when they tell me they are a Christian, WHY DO YOU CALL YOURSELF A CHRISTIAN? Their answers are canned ones.

      I don’t know if you know it or not but many people are started to become obvious about their intentions. People are beginning to get naked, and even government is becoming naked by admitting the things they want to do.       I was going to post the same thing. Only not just the teachers but GOVERNMENT all around. He!! my kids are affraid of the police because they don’t protect you unless your black now. They saw this first hand the police are UNION THUGS.Black on black fights in their school goes unpunished but if it‘s white on white both get punished but if it’s black on white only the white kid gets punished. This is going on all over our country. ide rather see naked nuts than ones with bomb vests on…..

    A Christian would not behave in such a horrible way. This shows that what a parents does and teaches will affect their children either in a good way or a bad. In this case, they were evil and God Help the Children. This world is a mess with immorality and bad conduct with attitudes. Kids should be born into a good and righteous home and raised to be good honest citizens.

      Kids were born without clothes! Adam and Eve were both naked or unclothed! We cover ourselves up now for what reasons? We are hiding from our own nakedness before God. I think they went to extremes to demonstrate their willingness to be naked before the world without shame….I cannot blame them in theory but we do live in a society with rules and we are to obey the rules of the society as per the bible. Lawlessness breeds more of the same.

    Trying to make a point at the school in this fashion is very sad, however they did get some attention. Our Country is turning south in the most negative way imaginably. I believe that the spiritual world is creating so much chaos happening throughout the world something sick is brewing for all of us to witness.       You gotta admit, crazed behavior is oft the same as religious behavior. The parade of inspired insanity is a pious parade. Religious people love to take credit for what good people might do in the name of religion but they are loathe to accept their coreligionists naked and chanting for children. Clearly, this is a great opportunity for the youth at the school to learn what being with God really means. Even people with a god delusion have to admit this case proves any school policy keeping naked religious people out of the classroom is best for children.

      Test their Christianity levels. See if they can quote their Bible. Check if they hear voices or talk with imaginary friends in the sky. If they test positive for these things, send them to the atheist asylum where they can be treated and cured and made normal again.
