      Hers is definitely skewered, skewed, and screwed. What really worries a Constitutionalist (believe we should strictly follow the Constitution) like myself is that to elect someone like Nancy Pelosi you had to: (1); have no idea of what she believed in, (2) ; have no idea of the consequences of the state having too much power, or, (3); believe in the same things that she does. Nancy believes in state control/state dictates, as do most of the hand-wringing equal-results nitwits in SF.

      America was founded on the principle of LIMITED government. The Fed was granted certain rights, and all others were for the states, or THE PEOPLE. Nowhere in our founding documents will you find authority for the Federal government to be involved in healthcare.

      Also, nowhere will you find the word ‘Democracy’ in our founding documents.

    Nancy, I’m old enough to remember when there were decent people in the Democrat Party. That’s no longer the case. The Democrat Party might as well rename theirselves the Socialist Democrat Party. The American People clearly do not want Federalized healthcare, although you, Nancy, choose to ignore that fact. The “poor” already have Medicaid to take care of their medical needs.

    As for the too many illegals in this Country, they should be denied emergency service at our hospitals, unless it’s a true emergency. A head cold or sore throat is not an emergency. All non-emergency cases should be turned away in our emergency rooms.

    Lastly, I can hardly believe that you’re still there. Your sick Party was wiped out in 2010 in the House. Are you hanging around to be further humiliated?

      Once again, I absolutely agree Diane. I would also go a step further & take money out of the legal citizen’s “checks” that use the ER as a clinic. I work with the Medicaid population & most of them run to the ER for everything…all on our dime…not to mention, they clog up the system for the people who have a true emergency. Once I was at the ER doing an assessment (I work in mental health) & while I was there a young girl came in by ambulance…upon questioning by the ER staff, the girl’s mother said she had a sore throat & they didn’t have a ride so she called an ambulance. I had to walk outside to have a smoke or I would have ended up in jail.

    Elections mattered this past November when the Dems got voted out and Pelosi lost her Speaker role. They will matter even more when Obama gets voted out in 2012! I think what ‘pop-up’ Pelosi is referring to when she tells the republicans to take back their party is telling them to take it back from the Tea-Party. Conservatism is rooted in common sense, something these liberal progressives lack, but is found to run rampant through the Tea-Party.

      Actually, the main reason the major media is going bankrupt is because most people prefer to SEE or HEAR news events along with commentary — commentary which is inevitably biased. Thats’ why The Blaze and Rush, for instance, are succeeding: both utilize real time evidence to substantiate their biases. The liberal media hides real time evidence if it thwarts their agenda, their biases: You will not see this Pelosi tape on any or the majors.

    Pelosi’s problems are better understood by reading the following response to another subject but represents the “political thought peocess”.

    Ahhh haaaa, the elite intellectuals have once again convinced themselves of their superiority when it comes to educating children. Are these the same elite intellectuals who partnerd with Bill Ayers, Rashid Kahlidi, Cornel West and Henry Louis ( Skip ) Gates Jr when he wanted to “bring leftist revolution the the US classroom?

    Are these the same educaters who introduced “ The Story of Stuff” to the classroom?

    Are they the same intellectually elite who conclude that the only way to produce good quality police cadets for the Cleveland Police Dept, is by “lowering the Pass/Fail standards” in order for more minorities to be hired by Cleveland?

    Do the “intellectually elite” study at the same universities that produced our current group of BRILLIANT POLITICIANS who have trouble with reading,( their own legislation) writing (understandable laws) and arithimatic( formulation of a sensible budget that adheres to basic 5th grade math)

    Yes, that same august body of elected officials who, at a minimum, have approximately 2140 YEARS of higher education.

    And yes, that same body of legislators who falsely assume that the average American citizen doesn’t understand the political process.

    And lastly, that same collective group of PUBLIC SERVANTS who are so wrapped up in their own self-importance, that they completely forget that THE PEOPLES BUSINESS is precisely why they are where they are.

    So gentleman, lets diligently WORK TOGETHER to accomplish the PEOPLE’S MANDATE…………

      The intent was for farmers and shopkeepers to spend a bit of time to do what had to be done then go home their service done. Now we have them serving for years on end. As much as I appreciate the opinion of some people I can’t say that someone who has pretty much made a lifetime profession of being elected has any idea of what normal life is like. And when they are rich enough I have trouble seeing them having the remotest clue what it feels like to worry about running out of food or money and seeing the them vote themselves a new perk or pay raise.

      I guess this is what happens when we elect politicians instead of humans.

      She is horribly correct. The American people used to be a freedom loving group that were like minded that liberty was the most precious gift bestowed on us by God and the sacrifice of patriots!       As to Nancy Pelosi in particular:
      We know she is a ‘statist’
      We know she thinks government knows best. Don’t believe me? Then explain why she said, “you have to pass the bill to see whats in it”. Remember, she is from SF, after all.
      She is a Socialist/Democrat. She belongs to a party which believes in equal results (socialism) and in democracy (majority rule), which leads to mob rule, and allows the majority (as in 51/49) to dictate to the minority.

      I agree with this witch in one thing she said, however, and that is both parties should have a common ground so it wouldn’t matter which was in power. That common ground would be to respect, defend, and protect the Constitution of the United States.

      This is all because of not teaching The Constitution and American History in the schools.
      EVERY student should be taught our Constitution and have to pass the exam on it to go to high school, then, take an advanced class in the Constitution to get out of high school.
      This is the foundation of our country, for crying out loud. The trouble we are in is directly because of the lack of knowledge of our founding principles. We don‘t understand ’why’ the founders designed our government the way they did. That is the whole problem.

      Nancy is right. When given a real CHOICE the voters tend to vote the wrong way. They tend to vote for more freedom and less government intrusion and that is detrimental to the polocies she espouses. Look at how well the old Soviet Union, the Peoples Republic of China and the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea handled this problem. The “correct” candidate always won. So much easier that way.

      Speaker of the House, Pelosi’s statements on economic stimulus and unemployment insurance shows either a complete lack of understanding of Economics or extremely evil intent. A stupid person could not obtain Ms. Pelosi’s position in life; therefore, the only alternatives are ignorance or evil intent.
      Our problem is not the distribution or the consumption of wealth. Wealth must be created before it can be either distributed or consumed so the problem is the creation of wealth.
      Government force is only effective in the redistribution and consumption of wealth. Force cannot be used to create wealth. Only economic freedom promotes the production of wealth. The fact that force is totally impotent in the creation of wealth is proven by the thousands of years of tyranny that preceding the Industrial Revolution. Ms. Pelosi’s solutions only involve the use of force to redistribute and consume wealth.
      Wealth, unlike energy, can be both created and destroyed and the surest way to destroy wealth is the use of force. Once our wealth has been destroyed or consumed, all of Ms. Pelosi’s proposed solutions will also be totally impotent.
      Remember, both Hitler’s and Mussolini’s coup required a severe economic crisis. Any economy that encourages consumption and discourages production of wealth is certainly headed into a severe economic crisis. The transfer of wealth to political cronies and loss of freedom contained in the first Stimulus Bill only discourages the creation of wealth.
      What is your opinion? Is Ms. Pelosi ignorant or is she just evil? If you believe that she is ignorant, do you think her ignorance can be cured? Please suggest a solution.

      Nancy we do NOT share your values, you want Goverment Control over our lives as much as possible, We the people believe the Goverment should only protect our Boarders and our GOD given rights, then get out of our lives. So, until you come to that understanding and those values will we share the same values. Elections will be very important to get us back to the real foundations that we were built upon.       Checks and Balances are what make this country great. The Fact that we can ELECT our leaders is an amazing thing that should not be taken away from us. I am sincerely worried that we may not get a choice in the coming election, and hearing Nancy Pelosi’s comment just now has hit just a little too close to home.

      There is a reason we are still free, and when you take away elections and you take away our freedoms… well, the United States just won’t be the same.
