Nancy Pelosi Agrees: Obama Doesnt Need Congress ApprovalYesterday, The Blaze covered the intensifying debate between the Obama administration and Congress surrounding U.S. operations in Libya. Now, following the president’s controversial assessment that he does not need Congress’ approval to continue the mission, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is coming to his defense. Earlier today, she told the press:

“I believe the limited nature of this limited – of this engagement — allows the president to go forward. Now, I am reviewing the report he has, that they have sent to the Congress – the unclassified is in the public domain — I’m going over the classified aspects of it.

But I think that part of that report shows an interaction and consultation with Congress and I’m satisfied that we can continue in the limited role that we have as part of NATO…

I’m satisfied that the president has the authority he needs to go ahead and I say that as one very protective of congressional prerogative and very supportive of consultation all along the way.”

Pelosi did say, however, that if the president wanted “boots on the ground,” then he would need approval. Watch her comments below:

    consulting with a few of the congressional leaders is not consulting the congress

    consulting the congress entails going in front of the whole body of congress and requesting approval, including holding a vote

    this has not been done, thus it is breaking the law and unconstitutional .

      Latest story going around now (mind you it is total rumor only)

      I have been informed from (insert news group) that the GOP is now cutting off all funding for seniors and disabled on Social Security or SSI or SSD on the first of July; this is do to (insert senator or house member) willingly seeking to overturn the FDR Social Security acts that is for the benefit of so many people who need it.

      This is another scare tactic that seems to have originated in the Pelosi camp; for I did today call their office and acted as a concerned senior and life long democrat; they said specifically “There is not one bit of truth to it, yet we use that tactic anyway…”

      They admitted it is a falsehood.

      Again, they could have been playing me as well, I do admit that could be the case.

She starts to say one lie, then realizes she is saying it wrong, so she restarts with another version of the lie, comes to the same realization, restarts, etc.

      I think General Anthony McAuliffe, (Battle of the Bulge) said it well…..“NUTS”!! Congress should not retreat from its responsibilities and shared powers with Exec and Judicial….Pelosi is the sad epitomy of our Congressional leadership and fits the characterization as was heroically qualified by General McAuliffe!! We don‘t need to continue in a quest that only strengthens the enemy’s goal….Islamization of middle east under Democracy ruse to fool the American public. Congress should insist on disengagement under NATO command in Libya.
