They wanted to secede from the union so that they could keep slavery. Lincoln wouldn‘t allow them to secede and that’s when the rich Democrat slave owners started claiming, “Lincoln is a tyrant” and “It‘s about states’ rights.” They knew Lincoln was an abolitionist and feared the free states were becoming too strong. They feared slavery could be ended because Lincoln won without a single slave state’s vote.

-Southerners get Breckenridge to run against Douglas diluting his vote
-Moderate Southerners revived the Whig Party under the Union Party banner
It’s no stretch to say the Democrats started the Civil War just to keep slavery intact. These acts I mention all led up to the start of the Civil War and all to protect slavery. I have MUCH more, but I don’t want to flood the comments section to prove my point.
My point wasn’t about the Civil War, but to show that it was mostly Democrats that have perpetuated racism for the last 150 years, and to this day, Democrats continue the problem simply to keep their voting bloc based on race.
I’m not a Republican. I don’t care about the parties and think we would be better off without the both of them so that we can concentrate on doing the right thing, not to keep one or another party in power. My main concern is that government is far too large… I’m a Libertarian. I believe in freedom, equal justice (not social justice), the free market and thrift (not Keynesian economics nor Marxism), and in The Constitution of the Unite

How do you define a racist? Mindsets are culturally instilled. Attitudes become rooted in a group because they are passed on from one generation to the next. In re the black community, the Dem elite — black and white alike — have brainwashed blacks into accepting a victim mentality. That has stagnated the growth and progress of the black community considerably. It is not that they are created inferior, but that their leaders are evil, and the people have chosen to keep them.
If you are a Christian, you can trace their lack of progress to its spiritual roots. Blacks could have allowed God to take the evil that was intended against them and turn it into good. If as a community blacks had laid hold of God’s promises in Christ Jesus, they would be a prosperous racial group by now, for God is faithful. Sadly, they have chosen instead to listen to their false teachers and greedy pastors. Furthermore, they make it twice as hard for individual blacks who do want to live the American dream to achieve it.
I have to keep reminding myself that not all blacks are that way, but the stats are against me. Ask yourself why over 90% of blacks continue to support Obama. The path they have chosen leads to darkness, and they will lose their souls in the process. It is tragic for the country as a whole, and it breaks the heart of God.
