You know, I really hate to call people dumb because name-calling is the left‘s tact plus as a person with a degree in math I’ve just always thought it would be bad of me to call those who are less fortunate dumb, but every time she speaks, I am so embarrassed for her. It’s painful to watch.
And what is up with keeping adult children on your insurance policy until they are 26? Do kids really want their parents reviewing the details of their doctor visits (rare though they are at that age)? Have some self-respect, kids. And to all you over-indulgent parents, It is time for some tough love if your kid wants to be on your insurance at age 26. My parents kicked me off theirs at 18, as soon and I bought it for myself from the university because it was much cheaper. Come on now, people, some common sense?

And since you are so wealthy – oh yea the kicker- that you can pay for you own medical care, you are attractive to me. What happens when you can’t pay for it sugar? What happens if you need a MRI or a weeks stay in the hospital? or even worse? It is so easy to sit on that high horse. Life has a way of kicking you in the nuts when you lest expect it. Early last year I was in an accident and had my right hand nearly ripped off. I paid for the hand surgeon by making payments. I will absolutely not be apologetic about the fact that I can/will take care of my own business without asking others to sacrifice their hard earned dollars to make my life easier.

Nancy Pelosi’s point in context was that the old system was unsustainable.
If you want to read something into it then what she was saying is that if ‘everyone was happy with their healthcare’ they would still take it over. In other words if someone without healthcare was happy with that the Dems would still try to change things.

No, what she said is that even if every American had good health care AND every American had access to affordable health care, the health care plan would still be needed because we couldn’t sustain the system. You didn’t listen carefully.
This doesn’t make any sense, because if every American truly had access to affordable health care, then no one would need to utilize the current government system (medicaid and medicare). And that is the only system that “we” (the taxpayers) are maintaining. Everything else is handled by the private healthcare insurance industry. So essentially, she is saying that even if the private sector was working perfectly to fill this need, they would still be pursuing their goal of a one-payer system and shoving it down everyone’s throat.
We have arrived in crazy town, and Nancy Pelosi is the Mayor.

I live with and care for my mother who is a COPD patient, so I have to be VERY careful about getting sick. Today, a nurse came to see her (she is on hospice care) to do the mandated 180 day medicare visit to make sure the patient is still sick. She asked me if I had received my flu shot yet, and i said “No, I‘m a bit of a conspiracy theorist and I don’t want anything made by the government shot into my body” To my utter surprise, she said “I don’t blame you”, dismissed it, then changed the subject. i was stunned, but didn’t push it further. I am an accomplished poker player, and I read her words as exactly as I needed. There is some MAJOR BS going on here, and one at her low level even knew the truth. Validation, yes, but it still saddened me as i always wanted to be wrong about my “paranoia”.

Report Post »I just went to our monthly Tea Party meeting last night. Our group had just 12 members last year at this time, but now has nearly 1,000. Regardless of what you hear on places like MSNBC, Tea Party groups include Independants, Rebublicans (the majority), and, even Dems. We all want to restore the Constitution, and have limited gov. and taxes. The TP is a very Patriotic group of Americans.
We had a NJ St. Senator (a Dem, yes, a Dem) speak last night. We grilled him in a polite but direct manner. There was NO yelling or intimidation of him. These are exactly the people who we need to interact with to let them know that we expect an end to the politics of Pelosi/Read/Obama, etc, etc.
PLEASE, go to a TP meeting if you have a group nearby. You can start one if you want, there is an organization to help you do it. There is a co-ordinated effort to help people get involved at many levels, with a flow-chart to show where you might be needed the most. JUST DON’T THINK you can affect change by joining in discussions on blogs.
I’ll be starting a 13 week Constitution class next week, and in that time period will be deciding where I will fit in with regards to my involvement in the political arena.
Yes, you need to vent, but you REALLY need to get involved.
