    rogue, This Evil Administration
Nothing, created here on earth, is ever perfect… that includes our Big :Fat Government. A matter of fact, about now we must be asking ourselves which is currently more Evil, the Internet, or Progressively controlled Government. My vote unquestionably goes to the Progressives. They have repeatedly demonstrate the stupidity to make things worse while childishly blaming every one else. Whatever they redesign will not be good. These last 2 years have been hell, and now, funded out of the kidnapped Federal Reserve, this administration will aggressively expand dictatorial tyranny. These next 2 years are doomed to be worse than nightmares straight out of the deepest pit of hell. Every State and every politician we send to DC must aggressively join the fight. Total anti-administration is the best policy, no matter the cost, who fails to collect a paycheck or entitlement, or how badly we must embarrass ourselves amongst the nations. This administration mush encounter fight at every and every turn.

Remember during the election, they pandered to the all internet savvy Americans. Twitter, Facebook, all the internet was great. Coincidentally, the majority of the message during the Presidential campaign favored the progressives. So it was all great (and only the few of us gagged on the media).

Now we are entering the midterm elections and the internet has become their enemy, exposing truths that had been easily glossed over and ignored during the campaign in 2008. Suddenly the American people are seeing what is happening. A two thousand page bill might be too much for any one person to read and truly understand, and they may have banked on that, but when it hits the internet and thousands of people can read the people… suddenly you start getting analysis that the politicians seemed to forget was possible. Think about it. I only have to read a page. My neighbor read a page, and so on and so forth. On the internet we then compile our understanding of all those pages. In essence, the individuals become part of super computer with grand networking powers that the politicians begin to fear. There schemes can come to the light of truth. When that human super computer favored them, they were happy. Now that the human “Skynet” is revolting, they want to find the “Kill Switch.”

Funny, my comment that was supposed to be here ended up higher in the chain and only my correction landed where it was supposed to.

So I use this little error to illustrate that if government ran this, our efforts to communicate would be really messed up and not just a little. Imagine if instead of here, all my comments had been scattered around at Yahoo!, Fox News, and anywhere else I had browsed because the lag was so bad while big nanny state monitored every communication. So someone could be looking at a comment about internet regulations out of the blue in a forum discussing the Bush tax cuts or the oil in the gulf? Not because I meant to leave the comment there but because the government monitoring devices created a lag in communications that scattered my responses everywhere.

See, in a free market, we’ll make lemonade from our lemons. In a controlled system, they will tell us to throw the lemons away.

Just like Glenn Beck says: The Government believes the American Public is akin to Homer Simpson and we must be “protected” from this “increasingly prevalent and growing” part of our society. Namely, the Internet and the content being delivered. Also, this woman can’t sting together a coherent sentence about a subject she is delivering a forum on. All praise the teleprompter…

An old saying comes to mind. If it ain’t broke, don;t fix it.

      Posted on September 21, 2010 at 1:18pm

Problem is that those that complain that it is broke are probably right. We just aren’t really seeing who broke it.

      1. Perspective broke things. It doesn’t matter how the light works, if you are wearing blinders then the room is dark. Note: The blind probably know better than the fellow with the blinders on whether there might be a light on. We are so dependent on light that we stop to consider if there is heat on our skin…. So it don’t matter how well the internet works, those who refuse to see will refuse to accept it.

      2. Is there already government regulation? How many taxes are slipped into your bills? How many do they itemize? How many are just rolled into the general bill because the company isn’t allowed to declare it? How many of these taxes already have regulations attached to them? We assume that if the internet is broken that government is the only one who can fix it. If it really is broken, perhaps we should ask who has an interest in breaking it before we ask government to fix it. Good chances are that where it is broken you might find government interests–so even if government could fix it they are conflict with themselves because it apparently is in their interest to break it…. Example: I lived in a small city for a while that there were only two options for internet via a land line. If you wanted actual competition you had to go with the cell phone companies. Why only two choices? Because the local governments had an exclusive deal that locked in only one phone company and one cable company. I don’t exactly call that competition. Unless we went with a cell phone, we were stuck with some crazy rules about long distance calling with the phone company. No competitors, so they could get away with it. It was really frustrating. We would have gone with a personal cell phone except coverage wasn’t the greatest (we did have a company cell phone for my job) and we needed high speed internet for my job…. Urgh!!! I was glad when we moved.

Annoying…. My two comments that connect got spit from each other. How funny. I didn’t catch that until my webpage refreshed. How it happened I don’t care, but it is NO reason for government to fix the internet. Government will only make things worse. Imagine how bad it would be if everything we posted were scattered helter skelter because government servers that controlled everything were still busy updating the stuff from where you were browsing five minutes ago. My comment wouldn‘t have just landed under the wrong person’s comment, probably a whole different website or minimally a different story.

As for where the above should have been, try Roguetea’s comment about the evil progressives just a little further on. Down there you will also find my correction to a sentence where I mention people sorting through the pages of these documents and accidentally wrote “people” again instead of pages.

I stand corrected. I think one of my comments completely disappeared…. Maybe I said something I shouldn’t have. I don’t use profanity as much as I understand what profanity is, so I don’t think it could be that…. Hmmm, sometimes I wish I knew why posts were deleted. You know that occasional feedback would be nice. A little email saying, your message “x” was deleted for “reason y” (being most likely a canned reason but still would be helpful). But hey, big government wouldn’t tell if or why they stopped a certain post. Big government is a law unto itself, so it could get into Yahoo, MSN, or anything else it wanted to control the message if all this stuff goes through and there wouldn’t be a darn thing we could do. Just ask the people in China. In order for them to have freedom on the internet, they have to beat the system last I read (which I read claims is common)–so technically they are breaking the law.

Who was the audience for this hearing at the high school?
Would it be accurate to assume the content exposed the disparity of internet access and how it needs to be managed for the benefit of equitable distribution of profits? Of course disparity of opinion should be controlled to obstruct any criticism of government policy.
If school systems taught critical thinking skills, individual freedom, choice and personal responsibility instead of the social justice government complex this wouldn’t pose the threat that it is.

Anyone remember what happened in Iran during the elections a few years back? That is what is in store for us here. Complete oversight of what you have access to, and criminal charges if you break FCC rules and regulations by trying to cirecumvent the system. In times of “National Crisis”, the powers-to-be can simply flip the switch and restrict all access for as long as they want.

The FCC is also tied into regulation of television, radio and believe it or not, cell phones and land line telephones as well. If it can be monitored in any way, it falls under thier jurisdiction. Broadening the FCC and FTC’s powers in all areas of communications is going to be disasterous.

That is exactly their goal, remember also how they switched everything to digital? I don’t believe they care about our reception, now you have to have cable or satelite and instead of getting a snow yet legible channel now you get a black one. It is to be able to shut down all news and communications if they deem it necessary.

But none of that has ever nor does ever require Government regulation. Any attempts to do so is trying to treat a patient with a cold by cutting out their lungs. The problem in this country is prosperity. When things are good, we all get lazy and complacent. Enjoying life, thinking we are secure. These back-stabbing anti-americans are the ones sneaking things in while we are kicked back in our easy chair. Who worries about what congress or the president is doing while things are going good?
