Here’s the question you may ask yourself after watching this video: If the border is too long and “rugged” to seal, how can the government claim it can make it “secure?”

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 10:20amOK Janet…your words describe an administration that is ready, willing and able to defend American citizens from criminal activities along the border. But you don’t follow up with actions. As Governor of AZ she was vocal about sealing the border…what happened?

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 10:19amI watched Napolitano on Fox last night and she seems to be about the least objectionable person in Obama’s administration. She actually used the term “criminal aliens” when speaking with Gretta Van Sustern and I honestly get the feeling that Napolitano is trying. It’s sad we’ve lowered the bar to where it’s considered progress when a bureaucrat uses a politically incorrect term to correctly describe illegal immigrants, but when you have Obama telling Mexicans “come on over the tacos are warm,” she deserves credit where credit is due.

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 10:29amIt might appear that way, but ask any sane Arizonan what kind of politician she was for AZ. She was in a position for a long time to actually do something about the problem. She didn’t. Like everybody else that was an Obama pick for Czar of anything, she was willing to sell out anything for the “agenda.”

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 10:33amGiven her history, I would tend not to believe a word out of her mouth. If you look and listen carefully, the latest tactic of the apologeticists is to tailor their message to the audience. Since most viewers of FOX understand the difference between legal and illegal, Sec. Napolitano used those words. I would be willing to bet that if the interview was on UNIVISION, she would not have used those words. She says that the border is more secure now than ever, yet it is under her watch that signs have been posted warning that large sections of AZ should be avoided because of drug and human smuggling. Two problems with that: 1. I now of no time in history that a sign has been a deterrent for illegal(in the Webster’s dictionary sense) activity, and 2. since the signs are in English, most of the people who will see it probably will not be able to read it.

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 10:19amAfter 35 years in AZ (not a native though), I watched it go from a nice place to a hell hole of corruption and urban sprawl. I left in 2005 when it was obvious nothing was going to be done. Anybody that lives there can tell you the horror stories of what illegal immigration is really doing to the state. As to the economy there, just look west to SoCal. Napolitano was a joke as Attorney General/Gov. and when Obozo took her aboard it was obvious where the country was headed.

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 10:19amLet’s stop talking about how hard it is to secure the border, or that we are doing this and doing that to secure it. If we really wanted to secure it and we had the full support of our administration to secure it, IT WOULD BE DONE! That’s ok. Just keep allowing anyone from anywhere freely walk into our country, knowing there are radicals out there wanting to get in here and kill as many ‘infidels’ as they possibly can. Then when they are here (and they are in here now) act all surprised like we couldn’t see that coming. Then just blame it on Bush and the Repulicans and that will make it all better.

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 10:19amFrom the beginning, this appointment of Napolitano was entirely political. She had zero experience with anything to do with this kind of enforcement. Frankly, she’s been a joke as Secretary of Homeland Security. She needs to go, like most in the Adminstration.

If violence does erupt hope you are the first to get it right between the eyes. You talk about people on this web site doing nothing and yet you are on here more than anyone, and you did not get out of bed until 10:30 to start your mouthing off and log off when mom tells you to go to bed. In Texas we would call you an easy target, you are so predictable. Know exactly where and when to find you. I would like to see you talk to people in person like this, you are one telephone tough guy.

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 10:07amI understand that despite repeated failure DHS kept pumping money into the electronic fence project. If they’d taken all that dough & just built a REAL fence they’d have put people to work, and might actually have made the southern border more secure.
As to Janet, no, stupid don’t ever stop in DC.

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 11:20amAgreed. You want a shovel-ready project that would put thousands back to work? Build the fence. It would be an investment up fornt, but would pay for itelf very quickly if we began to enforce the laws already on the books and deport all those illegals the government is supporting with our tax dollars.

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 10:17amAs Ed Rendell stated once, “Janet doesn’t have a life” … She only has “politics”. Sadly, if the Obama Administration says that Secretary Napolitano should trot out and say “The Sky is Falling” … she would do just that. There is no honor in politics. It is all about “our team” versus “their team” … How about a political party and political candidates that choose the American People as their “team”?

If the mexican government does not want to help stop the cross border problems, then seal it so that nothing goes north or south, including trade and tourists. Shut it down completely as they have their own southern border (using our own money)

Well, one is running in the district with the biggest leak – SouthWest Arizona – and she has a solution called technology. Watch her video here:
http://www.ruth4az.com/
I was very disappointed she was not included in the list of important races Glenn Beck had on yesterday. She is a Tea Party candidate endorsed by Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney and her oppoenent – Raul Grijalva just made the NY Times list as the biggest PROGESSIVE in a TOSS-UP race.
I was really hoping the Blaze would get behind her a lttle more, with the SEIU down here trying to steal the election, but it still has not happened.
Yesterday’s show: talk about electing candidates of integrity? What about defeating incumbents that are solid, hostile Progressives? Is that not equally important?

Posted on October 27, 2010 at 1:06pmThe border is only 1969 miles. That’s about 2/3 the distance from California to the east coast. Seems like it could be done and not cost all that much. Of course it would need to be more of a wall like the Great Wall of China, because it would be too easy to cut through a regular fence with wire cutters.
