Napolitano: TSA Procedures Could See ‘Changes’

Napolitano: TSA Procedures Could See Changes

Napolitano addresses TSA procedures on Monday in New Jersey. (Photo: AP)

During a stop in New Jersey Monday, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said that the TSA and its new screening procedures could see some “changes,” but not during the Thanksgiving travel rush. The admission follows statements by the TSA Sunday that it was not considering changes.

According to Politico, the Secretary said the TSA will “make adjustments or changes when called upon” to its screening procedures at airports, but emphasized not if such changes make Americans less safe on airplanes.

The statement, however, came with a doubling down of sorts. “It’s only a small percentage of passengers who get patted down,” Napolitano told reporters regarding the invasive touching that has grabbed headlines. “Nonetheless, I think we all understand the concerns Americans have. … Most Americans are not used to a real law-enforcement pat-down like that. So, as we move forward, of course we will listen to concerns.”

Napolitano’s comments, however, are slightly confusing. On Sunday, TSA head John Pistole made it clear his agency would not consider any changes, even while admitting the pat-downs are “clearly invasive.”

The Secretary also heavily criticized those who have called for a national “opt-out” day, where passengers are encouraged on Wednesday to request pat-downs instead of going through advanced imaging machines that produce graphic pictures. She called that plan “counter-productive.”

“I regret any kind of opt-out day,” she said. “We hope people will appreciate and understand the goal, the purpose and the need for what is being done.”

The worst part.. other than the sex abuse…is that there are flunkies.. Big sis and Pistole et al who will do this to innocent Americans so they can keep their nifty jobs/perks. They disgust me… big goons who their boss probably hates too.
and they won’t even think about doing anything like this to those who wish to kill us.. something wrong.. oh yeah.. I remember what it is.. we have a Muslim sympathizer in the WH

We are being taught a lesson, you are a serf of the oppressive government, and they will do what they wish with you.

    Remember

To our oppressors aka Politicians and Governments

Now as you urinate on the small remaining flame of the torch of freedom, lit by forefathers, “we the people” do hold you accountable, for you had many other nobler choices, you chose to enslave the people.

“We the people” will come for you, just as others have come for their destroyers in the past, and you will pay for your deception, corruption, treachery, abuse, thievery and incompetence.

Dealing with the village idiots. If you see a guy stealing your watermelons at least twice and you know what he looks like, you don’t line up everyone in the village. This is no more than an under the table deal paying the ex homeland security for his scanners. Now the job is to see who else in the village is under the table.

She is covering her backside because she has allowed so many illegal aliens to sneak across borders (and I am not talking about Mexicans), or leave military bases unnoticed, she has no clue. If she were really concerned about safety she would not be concerned about profiling and would do her job. The TeabagStimulusAgents don’t care if every single person “opts out”, they get paid by the hour, and they get to go home when their shift is over. If everybody “opts out” (which I predict they won’t) they will be causing a travel nightmare for all of the people who just want to get where they’re going.
