This is exactly what Sheri Weiner, a candidate for Metro Council, is finding out down in Bellevue, Tennessee. FOX17.com has more:

Her last name evokes the sexting scandal that has rocked Washington.

When it comes to Congressman Anthony Weiner, Sheri is fed up.

“I’ve gotten very used to saying, no relation, and I wish he were not on the planet,” says Sheri Weiner.

The name problem may have to come to a head this past weekend.

15 of Sheri Weiner‘s campaign sign’s were stolen, and another large sign was destroyed.

    This is not about her or her name.. this is about a man that has real problems and cannot control himself. To suggest that she change her name for political gain is shallow. She can win on her own and her conservative views. It’s her family name…Would you change your’s?

    Seriously….What is wrong with those people? If my last name were Weiner…..I would change it…, even before this POS politician showed his. No one should have the last name of Weiner.

    I went to school with a kid named “Limright”…. my dad later told me he had gone to school with the kid’s dad, and that the dad had changed his last name after turning eighteen… it had originally been “Limprick”.

    I can see the reason for that change….

    Sorry but I wouldn’t want the last name Weiner even if Anthony Show-Us-Yours really didn’t exist. It’s only $100 or so to file to change your last name.

    I’m sorry to go off subject here, but I just came across MSNBC‘s Mattews wearing O’Donnells jacket. I guess they pass it along to Cenk, Ed and Maddows. It is probably to big for Maddow being a she or is she.

      Anthony Weiner DID break the law. He alleged that he was hacked — a federal crime. He then blamed a man he knew was innocent — also a crime. That‘s TWO crimes to Vitter’s one. YOU LOSE.

      I saw on the news today that one of Weiner’s women hired Gloria Alred , I didn’t catch all of the interview but i think she did say she was a Porn Star …

      From her own website: “An avid pet lover, Sheri and her husband Sonny Farmer have five rescues that share their home.”

      She could have taken her husband’s last name, Farmer, making her Sheri Farmer. Instead, she choose to keep the last name, Weiner. Go figure.
