NBC Reporter Reveals He’s Been Contaminated by Radiation in Japan

NBC reporter Lester Holt — who’s in Japan covering the earthquake and tsunami — made a semi-startling revelation on Wednesday’s “Today” show: he’s tested positive for increased levels of radiation.

Holt had been covering the disaster at the country’s Fukushima nuclear power plant when he was ordered to leave amid growing concerns over radiation levels. He, and his team, did. When they got to a safe location they were screened with a Geiger counter, which measures radiation levels. No increased levels were reported on Holt — that is until the screener got to his shoes:

Despite testing positive, Holt admitted the levels were not catastrophic, and he wasn’t quarantined. However, after his shoes repeatedly tested for high amounts despite multiple washings, the shoes were confiscated.

Anybody here willing to say that not only was he aware of the danger but his line producers didnt know. What a huge, huge load of crap!

No I dont wish any bad things on this idiot, but his is total BS.

Man up, Holt. You chose to go there knowing full well what the risks were. Those brave reporters during WWII who actually went into battle would not have made such a big issue about their shoes. It was your shoes that got contaminated, not your poor little footsies. Play to the audience for sympathy and increase your ratings at the same time. No heroism here.

There is a rush on the West Coast for potassium iodide. People are being gripped by fear of the radiation that is coming in the air currents from Japan. I am sure the Lord has been merciful thus far by allowing this huge wet front to rain most of it down into the ocean as it travelled across towards us. We should thank and praise God.
I would not be surprised that if by this weekend, the 16th, that the Bay area has a good earthquake too because we are in the seismic window for that. Dead fish that floated up on the shore happened before just before the quake of 1989 in the bay area. The conditions are the same. It us up to God to allow things to happen. The important thing is that in this country, we need to be ready to meet God. Just as there is a panic and a rush for that potatssium iodide, it would be better if people had a rush on to get right with God and repent because we don’t have to stand in a waiting line for that. People will scoff and laugh and poke fun until their very foundation is shaken and crushed and removed. The man who built his house upon the rock, the winds and rain and floods came and the house stood because he was a doer of the word of God and not just a hearer. The hearer of the word and he who didn’t prepare is like the man who built his house upon the sand. When the floods and quake and winds come, the ruin of his house was very great. Doers of the word are justified before God, Not hearers.
Japan was or is a country who would not go along with the NWO currency that they wanted them to have, so, they used high tech technology to put them into a position of surrender. I hope that they stay strong and that they do not surrender to the new world order elites plans.
God is going to destroy them who destroy the earth.

      Thank you, Thank you.

Dead fish equal a huge release of gas under the ocean. This comes from heavy tides, due to the moon and other astrological movements. We get large amounts of water to ones side from whirbling, and the weight causes the plates to shift. All normal and not due to human life whatsoever. Cyclical. They call it Earthquake weather!

I have left Cali due to the know coming of events. But it wont be the natural disaster, it will be the calamity of the folks in our inner cities that panic, sluaghter, rob, rape, loot, etc. that will really piss god off. These folks were termed heathens in the day and we have become a breeding ground for them. To not call a spade a spade is our own demise.

I pray for the masses of good that are left in the left coast. Especially for the women I love! It will be ironic that I have prepared at 11,000ft to be ready, and yet I will be at sea level for what life is truly about.

Don’t fear death, just fear not doing enough in life!

Yes. I agree. We used to live in California and we even moved away from southern Washington between Longview and Vancouver. The Lord told us to get away from the cities and populated areas. “The tares will be gathered into bundles to be burned”. Cities are like bundles and you don’t want to be in the city when it happens. We didn’t know how we were going to be able to move and God used a negative event to fulfill our desire to move way up here next to the Canadian border on Mt. Sumas. My husband was a building official for ten years and would not go along with the corrupton and so they got rid of him. For his age being 61 and the economy, that is a very brutal time to loose your job. God opened the door and I typed my husband a resume and he got a job with a very good city up here in Washington, that is a very rural right wing city that is flourishing in our bad economy! There is all kinds of building going on. Because of him loosing his job and getting a new one, we were able to get that house in the country we always wanted. I raise chickens and eggs and we are plenty stocked up for food. We intend on helping others who are in need and the rest of our family may end up joining us. I am just remembering to pray that my husband will be at home when in the event of an earthquake and that my children and grandchildren are safe. All we can do is trust God.

My porcelain teeth gives me small doses of radiation.

I went to the beach which has high levels of thorium in local sands that are radioactive.

I certainly hope that he recovers, but from what I know, he is not in serious danger and he is certainly not the story. If you put yourself in harm’s way, harm may very well come your way–think of the reporters on beaches in the midst of a hurricane, etc.
The majority of reporters in this disaster have shown me one thing–how ignorant they are of Japan, her people, and her culture. The idiot (being polite here) going around trying to get someone to complain about the government response, talk about looting, or comment on Obama, etc. How ridiculous! Japan was and is still a very closed society and to talk publicly about a complaint about government would be unseemly. Looting or committing any sort of crime would be to diminish the whole society. When the serin incident happened in Japan, it was a national tragedy. Here in the US, someone is killed and unless they are some sort of national or cult figure, we all basically sit back and say “Oh, well.” Diane Sawyer, visiting an evacuee center, gushing on about how the Japanese are still recycling–give me a break–this is news?!
Japan will recover and the country will be better than it was before( look at Nagasaki and Hiroshima). As Rush said, the affected area will be back on its feet faster than the WTC will be built here in the USA. Further, any money (that we don’t have) that we lend to Japan will be repaid and we will see the results unlike Haiti that has had billions and billions of dollars poured in and the country is not any different today than it was 10, 20, or 30 years ago.
