NBC’s Chuck Todd Rips Colbert: ‘Making a Mockery of the System’ With ‘Anti-Republican’ Agenda

Comedy Central
NBC‘s Chuck Todd blasted Stephen Colbert’s recent political exploits, saying the Comedy Central host is essentially making a mockery of the political system and likely pushing an anti-Republican agenda.
(Related: Colbert to MSNBC’s Scarborough: ‘You Look…Like Evening Joe Brought to You by Jack Daniel‘s’)
Colbert embarked on a bid for president of “The United States of South Carolina” earlier this month, handing control of his super PAC over to fellow host Jon Stewart. Within the last week, the super PAC has released a series of mocking ads, including one branding GOP candidate Mitt Romney as “Mitt the Ripper.” Colbert’s strategy shifted to encouraging South Carolinians to vote for Herman Cain, whose name is still on the ballot despite his dropping out of the race. Cain and Colbert appeared together at a rally Friday, termed the “Rock Me Like a Herman Cain South Cain-olina Primary Rally,” though Cain did not actually solicit votes.
“He is making a mockery of the system,” Todd said during a panel discussion at Winthrop University Thursday. “Yes, the process is a mess, but he‘s doing it in a way that feels as if he’s trying to influence it with his own agenda that may be anti-Republican.”
“We in the media are covering it as a schtick and a satire but it’s like, wait a minute here, he also seems to be doing his best to marginalize the Republican candidates in a way, and we’re participating in that marginalization.”
Todd said he likes that Colbert is educating the public and even enjoys watching his show, but gets “uncomfortable when it merges into the real world.”
“Both Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have this ability to want to mock us in the media all the time, claim we don’t do our job, and then when you call them out on it, say ‘we’re just comedians,’” Todd said. “Actually no you’re not anymore. You are mocking what we’re doing, you want a place in this, you’re also going to be held accountable for how you do your job.”

Posted on January 21, 2012 at 12:14pmHow about mocking the Tax system ? 18 Trillion off shore ?
It has been estimated that 80 percent of all international banking transactions take place through these offshore banks. $1.4 trillion is being held in offshore banks in the Cayman Islands alone.
One article in the Guardian estimated that a third of all the wealth on the entire globe is being held in offshore banks, and others believe that as much as half of all the capital in the world flows through offshore banks at some point.
Obviously, all of this tax avoidance means that governments around the world are missing out on a whole lot of money.
It has been estimated that the U.S. government is missing out on $100 billion a year because of these offshore banks. Others would put that figure significantly higher.
http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/the-global-elite-are-hiding-18-trillion-dollars-in-offshore-banks
Avoiding taxes is a game that the global elite have mastered. They are playing a whole different ballgame than you and I are. They don’t just sit there like idiots and get blasted with taxes. Instead, they hire the best experts and they employ every trick in the book to hold on to as much money as they possibly can.

Posted on January 21, 2012 at 11:35amThe saddest thing to me is the Democrats exploitation of blacks and hispanics for votes, and the way Colbert belittles and exploits blacks and hispanics with full approval of the Democratic Party, because they think it hurts Republicans. Democrats even called Colbert into a serious congressional meeting with him filmed making fun of the hispanic migrant workers in the fields, Find the video and weep for the workers being exploited. Look at their confused faces, and then look at the confused black faces behind Colbert in the video above. The good thing, is that these exploited groups are slowly figuring it out. They are not being helped by Democratic policies. These are smart people, who have sadly been deemed “useful idiots” by the Democratic party. Their eyes will be opened, and they will see. Hopefully sooner than later. Shame on Herman Cain for participating in any way with this farce.

Ron Paul SuperPAC announces boycott of biased national media:
“Pew Research just a few months ago confirmed the immense media bias against Dr. Paul,” explains Revolution PAC Chair Gary Franchi. “Despite his electoral success, he consistently receives the least national media coverage of all Republican candidates.”
Case in point, notes Franchi, was CNN’s post-Southern Republican Presidential Debate coverage Thursday, which provided coverage of neither Rep. Paul nor his debate remarks.
“Quite simply, Ron Paul’s supporters are losing their patience and are creating their own media opportunities,” says Franchi. “Revolution PAC is pleased to be able to offer this forum, and we anticipate a lively event on Saturday.”
Election analysis will be provided as the polls close tomorrow by Revolution PAC’s South Carolina correspondents and an in-studio grassroots liberty panel. The public is invited to participate in the webcast from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CST Saturday, January 21 by visiting http://www.RevolutionPAC.com.

I tend to keep an eye on them in order to understand the mentaility of the left and it’s mind boggling. When they don’t have shows run by and populated by children with no possible wisdom derived from age, experience and perspective they turn to folks like Bashir who models himself as a Persian Olbermann.
America will only be saved when we realize that the battle-lines must not be Left and Right (even though the right is closer to correct). Left and Right will always oscillate around 50/50 distribution.
But the battle-lines must be those who are truly Americans, who love the American ideals, and Franklin’s “American Religion” vs. those that want to undermine those same principles. I contend that Left and Right honest everyday folks are 90% Americans with only a remain 10% that want to undermine everything America is about.
We must find a way to reach out to all those folks and show that the Founder’s limited government system can address all the manifold issues that each of these true Americans (both liberal and conservative) are rightfully concerned about.
We have to start thinking that way.
