NBC/WSJ Poll Shows Romney Support Among Blacks at Zero Percent — Should it Be Taken Seriously?

NBC/WSJ Poll Shows Mitt Romney Support Among Blacks at Zero Percent

Mitt Romney (AP Photo/Mary Schwalm)

A whopping 0 percent of black voters support Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, if you trust the accuracy of a new NBC/WSJ poll.

While it isn’t surprising that President Obama leads Romney among black and other minority voters, the assertion that the GOP candidate has no support in the black community is hard to swallow.

NBC News breaks down the numbers from the poll:

Obama continues to lead Romney among key parts of his political base, including African Americans (94 percent to 0 percent), Latinos (by a 2-to-1 margin), voters under 35-years-old (52 percent to 41 percent) and women (51 percent to 41 percent).

Romney is ahead with whites (53 percent to 40 percent), rural voters (47 percent to 38 percent) and seniors (49 percent to 41 percent).

And the two presidential candidates are essentially even when it comes to the swing groups of suburban voters, Midwest residents and political independents.

Further, Obama held a three-point lead in 12 swing states, “a narrower edge in these battlegrounds than the eight-point lead the president enjoyed in the June and July NBC/WSJ polls.”

So, what’s wrong with Romney? Voters apparently find Obama much more “likable” and easier to relate to. NBC News explains:

What’s more, Obama bests Romney by 35 points (58 percent to 23 percent) on the question of which candidate is more likeable, and by 22 points (52 percent to 30 percent) on caring about average people.

In addition, a majority of voters (51 percent) view the former Massachusetts governor’s approach to issues as being “out of step” with most Americans’ thinking. By comparison, 54 percent say Obama’s positions are “in the mainstream.”

The NBC/WSJ poll surveyed 1,000 registered voters from Aug. 16-20, and has an “overall margin of error of plus-minus 3.1 percentage points.”

I’m reconsidering my support for him since he is trying to have the legally elected Maine delegates not be seated at the convention. I may not vote at all. I get anyone but Obama, but he is starting to stink too. Most black people don‘t know their history though and how it’s been the Democrats that always tried to keep them down. The first blacks in power were Republicans.

As long as he is somewhat black ad totally liberal, as long as he makes excuses for why blacks remain in the bottom half of the economic strata, as long as there is no personal responsibility, they will vote for him. Herman Cain they pilloried – he is blacker; but, he expects everyone to pull his/her weight if they can.

A few ways you could interpret this poll:
      a. It is an outright lie
      b. In the demographic description they left out “African-American” registered voters
      c. To use some of the Dems favorite phrases, it is “racial code” to let African-Americans know that they better not stray “off the plantation” or “throw off the chains.”

No one could believe that zero percent of blacks will vote for Romney! That is ridiculous, but, I do believe the vast majority of blacks and mexicans will vote for Obama for no other reason than he will support all the liberal and welfare benefits that a vast majority of minorities count on for support. It is a shame that so many of those on welfare have forgot the meaning of what hard work means in our country. I have been a single parent, served in the Army and had to carry two jobs and go to school at night to support my family, but that’s what makes American beautiful. If you work hard enough you can make something of yourself in this country. Times are so hard for many middle class Americans now and many are out of work and another four years of Obama and the debts he has put this country in and will be in the same boat as Spain and Italy by 2014. Our children and grandchildren will never have the America we have grown up in if we re-elect this man for another four years. He makes Jimmy Carter look like a saint. It‘s a shame our national networks are so biased we can’t even watch the news without hearing about Saint Obama.

I don’t believe it is 0%, more like around 3%-5%. Blacks as a whole have been brainwashed since birth to believe that only democrats, aka liberals and progressives are right, and no matter the facts, everyone else is wrong. They have also been taught from birth that they are owed something, be it from the government, or from whites they think this world owes them something. As I said before, thanks to Romney’s stupid pick for VP, I like Ryan and all, he will lose the election. He should have picked West or Rubio. The only thing that can save this country now is to water the tree of liberty. I hope I am wrong, but am ready to do what must be done if I am not.

It’s a lot easier to just repeat slogans and blame republicans, which is what usually happens. It doesn’t hurt to have a built in PR firm (media) like the democrats have, lying and covering for them. It will take an act of God to get blacks to be cynical of democrats.

I’ve also heard today that TPD found bricks, pipes and “Anonymous” (the hacking group) style graffiti on a rooftop overlooking the RNC downtown area.

The Police have taken over a 5 year old bank next to the RNC (with the permission and blessings of said bank) as a HQ. Good for the bank because no one will try to break out the windows. The Police are really prepared here for just about anything including Black Bloc.

However, we might have a Hurricane at the same time as the RNC. It will be interesting!!!!

I think it‘s a good example of what I call ’random – logic – chaos’. Not unlike the order of the universe. On the surface, we have perfect order dictated by gravity (Ruling class). Then, they present ‘choices’ for candidates, all chosen by them, appearing to be random, but most of us on this site know better. ( logic = the rest of us.[ - chaos]). The ruling class is trying their best now to bring about chaos ( but it’s really logic and gravity, as are the comets, except for rogues and asteroids (revolutionaries ). I mean, how many times have we observed history repeat itself ( logical chaos disguised as random occurance. It’s happened many times before, i.e. Greece, Rome, France, etc.The U.K. was smart enough to remove themselves from that equation and turn to culture [which they've always had anyway]). So another social upheaval is happening, this time on a global scale. No big deal. Fearless, logical people become the gravity for this one. Free radicals become the chaos, from freedom fighters, all the way down to quippers thanks to the internet. That throws the former gravity ( Ruling class ) into chaos for good. Anyway you look at it, logic is the glue that binds us all together. The logic of love. The bad guys don’t have a chance this time, and they know it. The Recognizer ( from ‘The Black Hole’ ) rapidly approaches for backup. This all =WE WIN!

Mutiny, Ron Paul won the plurality of delegates in seven states and should be on the ballot. Romney’s campaign has been breaking rules and laws trying to unseat the delegates, but it looks like they have come to an agreement with some of the states. The only state that they are still fighting against is Maine where Paul won the delegates hands down. The governor said that if the RNC and Romney campaign succeeds in unseating them, Maine will not seat any. Let us hope that Paul delegates are seated from Maine.

The-Monk, I know that I am frustrating sometimes, but I do want to say that you are a reasonable person, unlike some like Barber2 and Time_2 (possibly the same person). Paul deserves to be on the ballot, if for nothing else, to get his ideas put on the platform. If his ideas are put on the platform, we must hope that Romney, if he is the nominee, follows through on the voice of the grassroots. I still have my doubts that he will defeat Obama, we will see if he does become the nominee. The delegates are going to be unbound, and I have heard that a grassroots movement for Palin has sent letters to delegates to vote for her. This convention could still end up brokered with everything that is happening. DVR the convention, I believe it is going to make history, if the tropical storm does not cancel it.

PAPADOC, Gary Johnson, two term governor of New Mexico, running as the Libertarian candidate for POTUS, on the ballot in all fifty states. Has several ideas that are the same as Paul, differs on others. You can check him out here: http://www.garyjohnson2012.com/

I know a lot of Paul supporters that are going to vote for him if Paul is not the nominee. This is one of the reasons I think Romney will not defeat Obama. People from the Republican side need to consider all of this. If Paul was made the nominee, he WOULD defeat Obama. If he is not, I believe that Johnson should be allowed in the debates so that everyone can get an idea of his positions. If not, the vote will definitely be split. Watch out Republicans, you may just be helping Obama get another four years without even knowing.

@Monk – You be surprised on how many blacks like Obama. You be surprised how many whites like Obama. I am shocked every time I hear it, but every one I talk to says I’ll vote for Obama again. Of course some blacks will be voting for Romney but it will be a small percentage after what Obama pulls out of his sleeve.

The amount of Blacks that won’t vote for Obama would not add up to much. Maybe 5%. But Blacks only make up 13% of the population so it doesn’t really matter. It is the idiot white voters that put Obama in office and it needs to be the now wiser white voters to put him out of office.

Black racists are the majority in the hood. They are trained from birth, just after watching their father run in the opposite direction, that whitey is their problem. They happily stay under the democratic boot for a few trinkets and do not deserve the sweat behind my ears. Their king 0bama knows that the educational gulag has brainwashed those that do attend school, and they will vote for who they are told to vote for. The proud black man is a myth. They are a social disaster, ruining anything in their way. The elephant in the room is the mass of state supported black racists , destroying our good society. The facts don’t lie, democrats do. So when the democrat slave masters, jackson, obama, sharton say JUMP, the obama plantation syas ‘how high?’ proud my ass. Have they no shame?
