Neo Nazis Rally in West Allis Wisconsin Over State Fair Mob Attacks, Met With Larger Counter Protest

Neo-Nazis rallied under gray skies in West Allis, Wis. on Saturday in what they said was a response to last month’s violence at the Wisconsin State Fair.

According to reports, about 30 neo-Nazis were met by up to 2,000 counter-protesters. A heavy police presence separated the two groups, and a total of five arrests were made: two for weapons violations and three for disorderly conduct.

Organizers of the Detroit-based National Socialist Party said they wanted to call attention to incidents of violence over the summer. At the fair, groups of black teenagers targeted white patrons, resulting in 31 arrests and at least 11 injuries.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported:

There were a few tense moments when a separate group of neo-Nazi sympathizers in the crowd were confronted by a group of angry protesters. Insults were hurled. Then someone threw a metal object, and the crowd backed off.

Police dressed in riot gear moved in quickly, surrounding the area and forming a barrier with their batons.

“Are you hate mongers, are we racists, are we bigots? Absolutely not. There’s nothing hateful or racist about our message,” said Jeff Schopp of the National Socialist Movement.

As members of the group waved swastika-bearing flags, one participant referred to the Holocaust as a “phony” event and shouted that the country needs “50 Adolf Hitlers — one for every state.”

Meanwhile, counter-protestors beat drums, sang “Kumbaya” and quoted Martin Luther King Jr. and Gandhi. One teenager shouted into a bullhorn, “I love being black!”

“That message is not welcome here in our community and we‘re here to stand together and let them know that we’re not going to take that,” Mandela Barnes with the Coalition for Racial Justice told Fox 6 WITI-TV.

One woman, identified as Sister Charlotte Smits, 69, of Milwaukee, showed up to the counter-demonstration wheeling an oxygen tank.

“Nothing is going to stop me,” she told the Journal Sentinel.

Smits dismissed the notion that racially motivated crimes are a problem.

“These were a bunch of stupid kids with bad parents,” she said.

    I just wish these hate filled racist groups would square off some place and kill eachother off so that normal, peaceful people can get on with our lives without having to deal with this crap showing up on our doorsteps.       Racism promotes only hate, and shows how much anger one has unto their own self. When a person has such hate turned inward, anger and aggression are the normal outcome unto others. I wish there was a way to fully make the hate stop, yet we can make the effort person by person.

      Mind you, I still daily have to remind myself not to stereotype people; and it is not easy at times.

      One thing though, with the article earlier at the Blaze on the protesters in Germany, how long until that happens here with the likelihood of professional rabble rousers (of say SEIU) seeking to turn such a protest into a full fledged riot?

      The “peer reviewed” article supposedly debunked global warming, and, of course, everyone here agreed.

      But guess what, the editor of “Remote Sensing” which published the article referenced in the thread has resigned, saying, “Unfortunately, as many climate researchers and engaged observers of the climate change debate pointed out in various internet discussion fora, the paper by Spencer and Braswell [1] that was recently published in Remote Sensing is most likely problematic in both aspects and should therefore not have been published.

      After having become aware of the situation, and studying the various pro and contra arguments, I agree with the critics of the paper. Therefore, I would like to take the responsibility for this editorial decision and, as a result, step down as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Remote Sensing.

      Sort of doubt the Blaze will report that though.

      Amen. I am trying to envision large fields with trenches already dug to handle the racist hater waste as it hits the ground. Duels for DieHards would be a great name for the Battle Field Amusement Parks. I would offer free admission – provide a wide selection of weapons (all to be collected after each Dual to The Death) before the tractors sweep the field clean. Everyone is then swept into a trench with other combatants and this will be the resting place for the die hard racists and haters, having paid the price to be eliminated from the rest of the human race.

      Okay I guess everyone missed the implied intent of the Nazi Party here. It’s not about fairness or standing up for whats right, it’s about recruitment. Pure and simple. As a Christian I’m tired of all the hate and the utter dispair that fosters these kinds of groups. I’m tired of the labels that are placed upon people because of ethnicity. I’m tired of the violence that comes with the hate. But what I’m tired of the most are the leaders of these groups who seem to escape the fallout of the violence they unleash. What is really sad it all starts at the very top of our government and work’s its way down to the simple man in the street. And those who stand up to break the chain are simply pushed aside in the great rush for personal justification. To simplify “Hate Breeds Hate” ! If you don’t see that then look around you. Black on Black crime on the rise, Race bating on the rise. Half of which never makes the news for fear of causing an even greater repercussion.       You are correct about recruitment. The best way to hurt the white supremesists groups, is to never give them air time.

      These are weak minded individuals that take a truth, add a bunch of lies that appeal to knuckle heads. If you ignore them, they sort of die out. The other way to fight them, is not via hate crime stuff, but just by fighting the crime. If someone steals, prosecute them for thievery, if they beat someone up, prosecute them for assault.

    In verse 43 it says – 43 Whereas you beheld iron mixed with moist clay, they will come to be mixed with the offspring of mankind; but they will not prove to be sticking together, this one to that one, just as iron is not mixing with molded clay.

    I encourage reading the entire chapter 2 to get the context in mind.

      @stormcrow, Seriously, they weren’t ALL neo-nazis. The media likes to CALL them neo-nazis, when in fact, maybe a handful were. The fact is that these people have beliefs that coincide with various groups that have one common ultimate concern, and that is the protection of their race. Yes, there are neo-nazis, but there are also neo-Christians, klansmen (which media propaganda has also trashed), militia groups, and political groups which are on both the left and the right. They come together as allies. It was the same in Germany: The reason that Nazis came to power in Germany is because it was a Nazi who rose to leader status quickly, and if it had been a neo-Christian person who rose to power, then so be it would have been called that. If the leader had been a member of the Hell’s Angels (just saying’), then everybody would have had a hell of a good time. Where the LEADER sprouts from is the group in power. And, it’s highly unlikely that a leader would sprout from nothing, as he needs some sort of support to reach the heights where he can dictate from.

      Here in Wisconsin we seem to get all of the kooks lately. These Nazi’s were from Illinois. I‘m not sure we have any here other than the teachers union and they don’t call themselves Nazi’s. Fascism is more their style. They all get blurred together. Many here didn’t go to this hate fest, because that is all it was. There were some Tea Parties in other parts of the state, but I’m sure those did not get any press. Maybe just as well. Let the haters go to their own special place. No one really has any room for them.

      We fail to realize that our government has now supported 2 and 3 generations of poor people and that these people now feel that they are owed the money that they receive each month from the government. Many of these people are the ones who see whites as a problem, don’t want to work, and think that they should have everything that others have, even though they haven’t worked for it. I do believe that all people, blacks, whites, Hispanics are tired of this mentality and that of these socialist Nazis, and are speaking out. There were whites and blacks in the crowd who were protesting the Nazi march.       @AMERICA4EVER, you may be right. If it looks like the great divider might not win in 2012, he may step up his race/class war rhetoric, starting riots and the need for Marshall law. Then the elections would be ‘postponed’. Sounds ridiculous, right? But getting more plausible every day.

      I would disgree with the posters below. O‘Bama’s (he’s Irish yanno) ego will convince him he NEEDS the election to validate himself. Every day that goes by without violence from the right, and the continuation slide in the polls, will start to elevate the SPEW, I believe to a point that independants ( if there are stll any out there) will question more than just his leadership! By the time it is conceded, internally, voting will have already started. But! A defeat? the possibility of riots will be large. . .Those people running around with Obama stickers on their Prius are a hell of a lot more dangerous that Billy, in his pickup truck!

      There are a lot of people who should not procreate. Nazi’s, all I can say is I do understand your hatred of certain peoples…totally. The Bible states in Romans 9 that not all born of Israel are of Israel. The children of the flesh, are not of Israel. And the others who were of the Cananites..they are disadvantaged also, but many have become children of the Spirit, we all can become children of the Spirit of God when we accept Jesus/Yashua as the Messiah..Lord and Savior.. I love you….Jesus Yashua loves you. Please accept Him as Lord and Saviour and study His word. In the end, that is all that will matter. We all have that invitation. Who will come to the wedding feast?

    It is OK for blacks to march, disrupt, attack whites, and be as radical as they wish; however..if a radicalized bunch of whites protest….welll…that is somehow profane. Let’s get some buses and round up some street ghetto-ites and hold a counter rally. There is going to be more whites being radicalized. There will be more white protest…much bigger and better than this one.

      In the disability world no one uses ret@rded, it is “developmentally disabled” or a specific condition.
      It would be incorrect to say Sarah Palin’s son is ret@rded. One would sound uneducated and frankly stupid, Trig clearly has Downs syndrome.
      The word ret@rded is now free to be used in the context for which I put it.
      I am shocked that that word is subject to censorship on the Blaze, yet, I have seen “*****” regularly.

      I notice that none of the counter-protesters condemned the racial hate crimes that took place that night. I wonder why? In fact, one of them even denied they happened at all, lol!
