New Allegations of Cover Up Emerge in Operation ‘Fast and Furious’ Case

The Fallout from the botched gun sting called “Operation Fast and Furious” has come crashing down like an avalanche recently, and many signs point to more damning disclosures in the weeks ahead.
Three major, new allegations have fed increasingly frenzied speculation of a widespread government cover up:
- 1) At least one senior White House official knew about the program
- 2) An ATF official tried to hide the connection between “Fast and Furious” and murdered US Border Agent Brian Terry
- 3) Many more guns that were allowed to “walk” were involved in crimes than was first reported.
On the first allegation, a series of emails between ATF and White House officials have indicated that there was high level administration contact regarding Operation Fast and Furious, according to the LA Times, but those senior officials did not have knowledge of the specific tactics and procedures (such as “gunwalking”) that the program was utilizing.
Border Agent Brian Terry
The second charge claims that senior Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms officials allegedly wanted to shield the operation from public view to prevent its connection with the death of murdered U.S. Border Agent Brian Terry. On these recently unearthed emails, Fox News claimed Friday that:
“Just hours after the death of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, federal officials tried to cover up evidence that the gun that killed Terry was one the government intentionally helped sell to the Mexican cartels in a weapons trafficking program known as Operation Fast and Furious.”
And finally, as to the third revelation, Sen. Charles Grassley’s office revealed in a letter Thursday that 21 Fast and Furious guns have been found at violent crime scenes in Mexico, which is up 11 weapons since the ATF’s estimate last month. As roughly 1,000 (though some say 2,000 now) weapons were reportedly involved in the program, it appears highly likely that more weapons will be found at Mexican crime scenes going forward. And maybe even in the U.S.
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-IA) have claimed the Justice Department and the White House obfuscated their role and knowledge of the program in the past, and the congressmen refuse to back down. In light of evidence that the White House was at least nominally informed of the operation, and that there was some form of ATF cover up, the congressman are ratcheting up demands for answers from the Department of Justice.
Fox News has more on the expansion of Grassley and Issa’s investigation:
“In a strongly worded letter to Anne Scheel, the new U.S. attorney for Arizona, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee requested interviews, emails, memos and even hand-written notes from members of the U.S. attorney’s office that played key roles in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) program.
Issa and Grassley said they want to speak with Assistant U.S. Attorneys Emory Hurley and Michael Morrissey, along with Patrick Cunningham, chief of the office’s Criminal Division.
Not only do congressional investigators want to “make sense” of details of the operation that allowed more than 2,000 guns to “walk” and later turn up at crime scenes on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, but they want to known why Hurley — who knew almost immediately the guns found at Terry’s crime scene belonged to Fast and Furious — tried to “prevent the connection from being disclosed.”

Of course Holder knows he is the one that ordered it after getting his orders from Emperor Obama after those stats were found to be a joke in 09. The Emperor knows he can’t reign in guns without legit “crisis”. When he was campaigning in 08 he made it clear he would not go after the 2nd but his voting record shows he will legislate them right out of our hands given the chance. So IMO he ordered this operation to fraudulently boost the numbers thinking ATF would be able to keep track of the guns and prevent what is happening from happening. This along with everything he touches blew up in his face.
Please support Rep Issa and anyone else involved in this investigation this IS a very big deal. Your pres once again is working to usurp the Bill of Rights more importantly the 2nd Amendment… We the People’s last line of defense against a tyrannical government!

The audio recording of Obamunist’s March 30th discussion with anti-gun loon Sarah Brady also proves that Obamunist intended to enact gun control by breaking several federal laws and had no concerns about who had to die to accomplish his agenda.

Unfortunately for Vince Foster he managed to kill himself (according to Capital Hill Police) by shooting himself in the back of the head. While he laid in that park (where he was dumped) Hilary Clinton’s people raided Fosters office and destroyed all files pertaining to Waco. The MSM also covered for that Administration also , this is a different situation but the covering up aspect is similar time will tell if the Dear Leader will have someone taken out or thrown under the bus to save the regime.

The Boland “amendment” was an unconstitutional move on the part of congressional democraps to keep President Reagan from supporting the Contra freedom fighters in Nicaragua. The democraps, not surprisingly, supported Daniel Ortega and the communist Sandinistas. Ortega had taken over the country, much like Chavez has with Venezuela, and Zalaya tried to do in Honduras. Ortega had nationalized the country’s TV and radio stations. His henchmen were dressing up like contras and killing catholic priests and nuns. He of course wasn’t fooling the people of Nicaragua, but leftists in the U.S. were eating it up. The Reader’s Digest had an article on this back then, and it was clear the Nicaraguan people knew what was up. And when Reagan’s support of the Contras finally forced free elections, the people threw Ortega and the Sandinistas out.
I have a copy of the ‘dear comandante’ letter then House Speaker Jim Wright (D-TX) wrote Ortega, telling him a vote was coming up in congress for Contra aid and asking him if he could hold the atrocites down so as to make it easier to shoot down the aid. Reagan had instructed his people to do whatever was necessary to keep the Contras afloat. The U.S. commies (democraps) weren‘t the only one’s supporting the Sandinistas, so were the communist Soviets. In my records I also have the photo of John F’n sKerry and Tom Harkin (D-IA) with ****-eatin grins shaking hands with Ortega

Posted on September 2, 2011 at 6:11pmAs far as Iran goes, besides the attempt to get our hostages back, which would have happened, but for a reporter getting wind of it and blowing the opertion (we got one hostage out), Iran was in a war with Iraq at the time and the munitions North sold to Iran would have been used up in a week or two. Further, North has stated that they charged the Iranians twice the cost of the munitions. Half went to the Contras and half went into the U.S. Treasury.

The study done at that time found that 17% of the guns confiscated at crime scenes by mexican authorities were traceable to the U.S. Obummer and Hillary had been saying it was 90%. Fast and Furious was supposed to make the 90% a reality.
