New ‘App’ Lets Your Fetus Pick Its Own Name

Here’s another one for the “Can’t make this stuff up” folder.
Are you pregnant and unable to decide on a name for your soon-to-be-born child? If you have an iPhone and 99 cents to spare, there is an app which will allow that unborn child to choose its own name.
“Kick to Pick” is the app.
From the app creator’s website;
Kick to Pick is the app that lets your beautiful bump choose their own name from thousands of baby names or even a shortlist created by you.
The App Store has even more details on the inner workings of “Kick to Pick”;
How does it work?
To begin, simply choose from one of our gender-specific lists; each of which holds thousands of names to choose from. Alternatively, if you already have certain names in mind or you’d like to limit the search, you can also create a favourites list simply by starring the names you prefer.
Now the exciting bit! With your list selected, lie down and position your device over your baby bump and tap the start button to activate the countdown. Next, simply sit back and watch as Kick to Pick scans through your chosen list of potential names until it detects that all important input from your baby. Once your baby’s choice is identified, you can either choose to accept the suggestion or put it down to hiccups and return to your search.

I detest the writer’s use of the word fetus when referring to a child that has not yet been born into this world. It’s a baby, it’s not yet born, but it’s a baby. No mother refers to the life in her womb as a fetus!

I don’t believe there is a statue of limitation on attempted murder. That will be a great day when the courts try to justify THAT!

OR
our EPA is only allowed to enforce as stringently as the LEAST STRINGENT country from which we import!
You see, the earth is a closed system. Using their own ‘facts’. If you dump a ton of CO2 in the air, it affects the whole earth. So, it doesn’t matter if you do it here or in another country. If you endanger a minnow in Brazil it is the same as endangering one in California.
These socialist/communist/fascists cannot win on facts and logic, which is why they always resort to emotional appeals. When those fail, they are left with name-calling and physical violence. Since they are already thinking about an issue emotionally, they are more readily stirred to name-calling and violence.
-I will be thinking of those who fought and those who died for our GREAT COUNTRY this weekend. Won’t you?

I was showered & dressed and sitting in my hosp room debating what to write on the birth certificate! When we finally agreed on her 1st name we let our 4 yr old son pick her middle name cause we were too tired of the whole process! Of now I love the name we settled on, but it was a headache :)
