New Stunning Audio: Author Releases Interviews Capturing Hollywood’s Disdain for Conservatives

Author Ben Shapiro is working to expose the Hollywood left’s purposeful attempts to promote a liberal political agenda through entertainment mediums. As we reported yesterday, left-wing messages are being woven into popular television shows — from kids’ favorite Sesame Street to “must see TV” sitcoms like Friends. But as Shapiro’s new book “Primetime Propaganda” demonstrates, that’s just the tip of the liberal iceberg.
In videos sent exclusively to The Blaze from Shapiro, more Hollywood liberals openly admit to how their political biases plague today’s entertainment industry.
Is there a literal “blacklist” against conservatives trying to find work in Hollywood? House creator David Shore says yes:

George Schlatter, creator of Laugh-In, sounds off on conservative radio and television host Glenn Beck. (Hint: it’s not nice):

[Friends co-creator Marta] Kauffman also acknowledges she “put together a staff of mostly liberal people,” which is another major point of Shapiro’s book: that conservatives aren’t welcome in Hollywood.
Maybe that’s because they’re “idiots” and have “medieval minds.” At least that’s what Soap and Golden Girls creator Susan Harris thinks of TV’s conservative critics. However, the ranks of dumb right-wingers has dwindled, according to Harris, whose video has her saying: “At least, you know, we put Obama in office, and so people, I think, are getting – have gotten – a little bit smarter.”
Some of the videos have executives making rather obvious revelations, like when Larry Gelbart and Gene Reynolds talk about pacifist messages in M*A*S*H or when MacGyver producer Vin Di Bona says anti-gun messages were a recurring theme in that show.
But an additional video has Di Bona, who also created America’s Funniest Home Videos, becoming remarkably blunt about his approval of a lack of political diversity in Hollywood. When Shapiro asks what he thinks of conservative critics who say everyone in Hollywood is liberal, Di Bona responds: “I think it’s probably accurate, and I’m happy about it.”
Another video has Leonard Goldberg — who executive produces Blue Bloods for CBS and a few decades ago exec produced such hits as Fantasy Island, Charlie’s Angels and Starsky and Hutch — saying that liberalism in the TV industry is “100 percent dominant, and anyone who denies it is kidding, or not telling the truth.” Shapiro asks if politics are a barrier to entry. “Absolutely,” Goldberg says.
When Shapiro tells Fred Pierce, the president of ABC in the 1980s who was instrumental in Disney’s acquisition of ESPN, that “It’s very difficult for people who are politically conservative to break in” to television, he responds: “I can’t argue that point.” Those who don’t lean left, he says, “don’t promote it. It stays underground.” …
In the book, subtitled “The true Hollywood story of how the left took over your TV,” Shapiro also tells anecdotes of bias against conservatives. One example is Dwight Schultz, best known for his roles as Murdock in The A-Team and Barclay in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
The late Bruce Paltrow knew that Schultz was a fan of President Ronald Reagan. When Schultz showed up to audition for St. Elsewhere, a show Paltrow produced, to read for the part of Fiscus, Paltrow told him: “There’s not going to be a Reagan a**h*** on this show!” The part went to Howie Mandel.

It may be that if we are allowed to brainwash an entire generation with one ideology, then we won’t have debate and dialogue that inspires us to think outside of the box (pun intended). I know that a mantra on the left side of the political pendulum has always been that people are being brainwashed by the establishment. If on the other hand, it is the leaders of their own movement, then it is OK. I think again this is a good time to ask if you (and everyone else here) are questioning EVERYTHING you are told. Unfortunately, the “system” has gotten to her, she espouses the ideology that “It’s okay to be gay.” This is not what is taught in our home! So, I know with 100% certainty that this mantra is from our wonderful public school system. And just so everyone knows, what we teach in our home is that homosexuality is a choice. A person who chooses this life should not be publicly humiliated, demeaned, harassed, or abused in ANY way. BUT- their lifestyle should NOT be glorified either. And this is what the liberal-left (and Hollywood) are trying to do (with much success, I should add). Its not mere acceptance they are reaching for or even espousal. They want homosexuality to be celebrated! Most people already know someone (if not many) people who are gay and they tolerate it. The only reason Hollywood writers and producers have cranked their indoctrination up a notch is not to increase awareness! But to glorify the lifestyle itself. I contend that the purpose for this is to offer absolution to that of the homosexual. If everyone in the world accepted homosexuality as a behavior that isn’t wrong then where would the guilt manifest? There wouldn’t be guilt and those who practice such a lifestyle could do so in peace, without condemnation. The soaps awards, whatever they’re called, are limited and, with the recent cancellation of two staples of the genre, the award itself will soon he history.
The Hollywood elites can afford to be smug, having insulated themselves from the rest of the universe. When reality strikes, though, they go crazy–like how during the Rodney King riots Lefty types were phoning Charleton Heston to borrow guns.
There‘s an anger out there the elites don’t see. What was it Peter Fonda said last week, that a war is coming between the haves and have-nots? Well, the Holly elites are the ‘haves’, aren’t they? If Fonda is right, all those sniveling little self-appointed demagogues are going to be in for some big surprises.
In any event, I can’t take seriously the cultural and political pontifications of people who spend their careers being someone else, being persons out of a writer’s imagination.

Those people live to be invited out a lot, and being seen by their peers especially, and the public. Make no mistake, they love the paparazzi while out on the town. A lot of their clothes and jewelry are on loan from some designer-to-the-stars; they don‘t always own what they’re wearing. It’s a world apart from reality.
Then, of course, is how often one of them melts down. I bet if you ask any Marine, etc. which he would prefer–being ‘unable to handle fame’ or being shot at with an RPG–he’d choose the former. Then again, our troops could handle both a lot better than Lindsay Logan could survive a trip to the liquor store without have cash or credit to buy something.
It’s all so plastic to me. I wonder if those people truly believe I’ll go buy a new brand of shampoo because Amber Heard (who’s not only a babe but also into girls) advertised it. I bet they really think any of their liberal slant in a show or movie is going to somehow cause me to make a sudden left turn.
Their stunts–like Martin Sheen sleeping on a sewer grate one night in his life–don’t impress me, either.
I guess a liberal actor’s delusions know no bounds. If things keep they way seem to be heading, it might one day be the Hollywood types who are the ones on the outside, looking in.

Only 20% of Americans identify themselves as ‘liberal’. We have a case here of the tail that THINKS it’s wagging the dog. But it’s not. How do you justify hate of a group because of hate of a group? Regardless of your political affiliation, do you think it’s fair to ostracize or alienate someone based solely on their political affiliation? That‘s what’s happening here. What if it wasn’t Hollywood? What if fast food restaurant owners and corporate executives were to be caught saying, “It’s not explicitly stated, but only those who have a right slant are allowed to work for us.”? Would that be fair just because (theoretically) those owners and executives may not agree with the ideology of the potential employees?

As far as actors go, when the biggest stars out there are bong head Brad Pitt and George (I only have one character and I play it in every movie I’m in) Clooney, who cares what Hollywood thinks? I’d rather watch 30 year old stuff with good stories and good actors.

Posted on June 1, 2011 at 5:25pmWatched the 30-yr reunion of M*A*S*H recently. They did a lot of pacifist ideology. They touted the episode of “Point of View” as not having been done before. The episode was shot completely fthrough the eyes of a wounded soldier. Well maybe it had not been done on TV before, but there was a late 50‘s or early 60’s B/W movie where the main character awoke in the park and all that was seen was what the guy saw.
The drama shows put a spin on news events and sitcoms replay social issues ad nauseum. It is getting easier to spot the liberal agenda dialogue, though.

Eli Stone, Lost, Lie to Me all had “moral” themes to them and they are all gone. I used to watch House but now I‘m just wishing he’d just shoot himself up with something and OD, next season is the last and his character is a reflection of Hollywood, childish, narcissistic, self centered, egotistical and who gives a crap about someone like that? Hollywood is committing suicide and I don’t care! GOOD RIDDANCE! I’ve got enough books to read to last me the rest of my life!

If Conservatives created shows, it may start short circuiting the general population who has been spoon fed the progressive garbage for much too long. Posted on June 1, 2011 at 4:20pmThe funny thing is that shows like Desparate Housewives (the earlier episodes, anyway), Brothers and Sisters, Modern Family, etc., are actually good IN SPITE OF their obvious push of acceptance of the gay lifestyle. The stories are so well written that it makes the gay parts tolerable.
In Glee, however, it‘s so pervasive that I don’t even care how good the songs are, I can’t stomach it.
And remember the Miss USA pagent with the gay co-host? I could tolerate that for awhile, but I couldn’t finish it – the dude wouln’t act like a normal guy, and ruined the whole point of a beauty pagent, which is for men to enjoy looking at beautiful women.

When I hear people talk of the shows they enjoy watching, I’m able to much more easily size up their depth of character.
So much of what MSM puts out today is shallow, emotion-targeted content that tries to lead us just a little further down the wrong path every week . . . intentionally, and unapologetically. Even my 12 year old daughter routinely points out their efforts to normalize bad behavior, and that’s saying a lot.
So let the mindless mire in their muck, grow roots into their sofas, and believe what they will . . . they are intellectually lazy, and beyond hope. Despite their obvious aptitude, even the self-proclaimed liberal intelligencia are impulsive and fail to second guess the immediate conclusions they so often jump to. For that reason alone, they too are beyond salvation.
Let the remainder of us not be swayed by the increasingly tempting trash put out there by the MSM. They are ruthless, cannot stand our independent nature, and will continue to assault us.

Okay, joking aside this really is really ridiculous. The idea that Sesame Street is sending out subliminal messages to children is clinically delusional. The Sesame Street message is: be yourself, respect yourself, respect others despite superficial differences, learn, resolve differences peacefully and all those other things Christ taught. If you don’t like the tolerance message, yes, have your kids watch something else.
Did you watch the videos? In the third one a guy says he find GB, “really amusing” in a sarcastic kind of way. Wow, what a slam. If Glenn kept his comments at level, he’d still still have advertisers and still have a show at FOX.
In the first video the guy says that being on the “right doesn’t help them” [get a job]. That’s hardly blackballing. Didn’t hurt Mel Gibson as the guy said in 2009 (since, some of his thoughts while drunk have been recorded), Clint Eastwood, Alec Baldwin, etc. Google “Hollywood Conservatives.” Oh wait, don’t Google it, use another search engine.
I can honestly say I’ve seen not a minute of Housewives, and maybe a couple minutes of Friends (which I gathered was a “dumb” sitcom).
