New Billboards Feature Church Message Signed by…Satan

The secular world has created a plethora of billboards aimed at slamming the Judeo-Christian worldview. But while atheists have been infamous for their posted non-theistic placards, the religious, too, have been known to get creative. Take, for instance, a new billboard that’s been posted by Redemption World Outreach Center in Greeneville, South Carolina.
The house of worship has launched an ad campaign that features a billboard signed by Satan. His message? To dissuade human beings from attending church, naturally.

The creative billboard reads, ”Please do not go to Redemption World Outreach Center this Sunday.” Then, the fallen angel’s name is signed below his plea. While some may find the message eye-catching, others — like Josh McCarnan, a communications manager for Hampton Park Baptist Church Ministries — aren’t so sure.
“I am a communications manager, so I deal a lot with graphics,” McCarnan told The Christian Post, going on to say that the graphic elements associated with the sign are poor. ”I understand kind of the motives behind it. But from a graphics standpoint … it doesn’t really say a whole lot about the church.”
Pastor Ron Carpenter of Redemption World Outreach Center says that the church means no offense by posting the billboard. Rather, the house of worship believes it will be a viable method for reaching out to youths.
“I want to go back and reach the young adult generation which has been labeled very extreme, so I said, ‘I need to send an extreme message to try to jump start the curiosity of a younger generation,’” he said. ”They like to talk about maybe good and evil but don‘t want to bring devils and Satan’s name into it. But we believe he exists, and we believe this is a place he wouldn’t really want you to be.”
The church, as The Christian Post notes, will display the billboards over the next four months.

8 And there shall also be many which shall say: aEat, drink, and be bmerry; nevertheless, fear God—he will cjustify in committing a little dsin; yea, elie a little, take the advantage of one because of his words, dig a fpit for thy neighbor; there is gno harm in this; and do all these things, for tomorrow we die; and if it so be that we are guilty, God will beat us with a few stripes, and at last we shall be saved in the kingdom of God.
9 Yea, and there shall be many which shall teach after this manner, afalse and vain and bfoolish cdoctrines, and shall be puffed up in their hearts, and shall seek deep to hide their counsels from the Lord; and their works shall be in the dark.
10 And the ablood of the saints shall cry from the ground against them.
11 Yea, they have all gone out of the away; they have become bcorrupted.
12 Because of apride, and because of bfalse teachers, and cfalse doctrine, their churches have become corrupted, and their churches are lifted up; because of pride they are puffed up.
13 They arob the bpoor because of their fine sanctuaries; they rob the poor because of their fine clothing; and they persecute the meek and the poor in heart, because in their cpride they are puffed up.

Posted on May 11, 2012 at 6:53pmThis is all good work here… Just don’t quote the Bible. I love extra books, missing books, fad books, and fraud translations all mixed up out there so no-one can tell the real word of God anymore. Anything but a King Jimmy! That Guy Fawkes (the O.W.S. mascott) had it right, almost killed the future translators of the 1611 K.J.V. in the “Gunpowder Plot”, but i‘ve twisted history so people think he’s a hero. This is genius, try to get these verses in everyones hand, and we can even get some spin off-churchs going (that teach our stuff instead)!

Posted on May 11, 2012 at 5:53pmMake no mistake, Satan exists. He exists to bring fear, hatred, anger, injustice, and all manor of evil to the world of man. He exists to take away our freedom to choose good over evil or to even recognize the difference between good and evil. God gave us free will, freedom and liberty so that we may decide for ourselves whether to follow him. Satan seeks to take away these things because he knows it is the only way to block our way to God. The bible says “Let every man work out his own salvation with fear and trembling” The big government folks want to take away your right to choose good and force you to accept whatever they decide is good.

Posted on May 12, 2012 at 7:23pmSatan is far more powerful in the Christian tradition than God–without the Devil, and the threat of eternal punishment hanging over everyone’s heads, very few people would be swayed by the empty assertions of theists. Reason is not easily tricked into false belief, but powerful emotion is blind to truth and falsehood–in a state of fear, people can be made to believe, or feel, anything you want them to fear. That is why fear, the power held by the figure Satan to scare otherwise reasonable people into blind beliefs through the threat of the most exquisite punishments man’s mind could conjure, is necessary to Christianity, and most if not all proselytizing religions for that matter.
Look at Judaism or Buddhism–neither of them “proselytizes” in the traditional sense of a central tenet, or requisite, of the faith to the faithful is to attempt to expand the faith. Particularly Judaism. In both those cases, there is no metaphysical equivalent to “hell” in their theology.

Stuff like this,. . . . and the idiotic billboard, are truly laughable. Reverse psychology may work on the simpleton, but not on those who actually use science based logic/reason. I’m not going to listen to the fictional characters of any book for any type of life direction. And I definitely wouldn‘t go to that church just so its pastor’s wallet can grow even larger.

Posted on May 11, 2012 at 4:10pmEver notice, the more you pay attention to someone/something the longer it remains in the public‘s eye’ and the less attention given usually makes it disappear faster?
I try and do that with most of thse attention starved geniuses who think the can (re)invent the wheel. Be sincere, honest, forthcoming and fair and that should do it. If that is not what people what, they aren’t worth having.
All these news alerts and chest pounding against Obadman and whatever his latest folly is, is almost comical. After three and a half years of his inane policies, his divisive rhetoric and his pitting one class, one race, one religion of people against another, if you aren’t convinced who is the better choice for this country, then I can only believe you just don‘t give a damn about this nation or it’s citizens (of all races, creeds or genders.)
This election is not about party affiliation or one’s color of skin. It is about the longevity of this Nation and it’s Constitution as we know/knew it. And if that is not enough for people to swallow their pride or hate or contempt for each other and do the right thing, then this nation deserves what it gets.
As someone brilliantly once said, “we have met the enemy, and it is us.”

I know where this sign is but I have not been by there yet to see it. It is meant to get attention and it has! If just one person stops to think about their life and where they will go after this life, then I think it is worth it. We never know what impact we may have on each other, either positive or negative.

Posted on May 11, 2012 at 3:52pmThere’s nothing wrong with the Church using Satan in their ad. If the Atheists can tell people not to go to church, then are they , themselves Satan? Since they don’t believe in God? I, for one, am tired of the Atheists getting their way. If you don’t believe in God, fine. But don’t harass and condem those that do. I’m also tired of the Minority of people who complain, being able to have people removed from pulpits, have signs removed, and have our 10 commandments and prayer taken out of public places. All our morals and belief in right and wrong are based on biblical values whether you want to admit it or not. I was not raised in a Religious household, but my parents were spiritual. They passed along what they had been taught which was based on Religious teachings, whether they realized it or not. It is what is needed. We are seeing what it is like without it, with the OWS people and with the communists that surround our current Commander in Chief. It scares me to see how barbaric we have become. Next they will accomplish making Pedophilia a Disability instead of a Crime…it is in the works….God help us.
