New Bloody Photos Detail More of George Zimmerman’s Injuries

As we explained on Thursday, evidence continues to surface in the George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin case. We recently reported on the autopsy of Martin, the medical report detailing Zimmerman’s injuries, and even Martin’s bullet wound. And now we have new, bloody photos taken of Zimmerman on the night of the shooting that detail his injuries.

“More than 200 pages of photos and eyewitness accounts released by prosecutors Thursday show Zimmerman and Martin were in a loud and bloody fight in the moments leading up to the shooting and that Zimmerman appeared to be getting the worst of it, with wounds both to his face and the back of his head,” the Associated Press wrote early Friday morning.

The photos seem to support that. One is a full body shot, others are a close up of his face, and yet others show the bloodied back of his head (via AP):

The AP does note Zimmerman could be liable for allegedly approaching Martin, and quotes the family attorney.

“Bleeding tenderness to his nose, and a small laceration to the back of his head. All injuries have minor bleeding,” paramedic Michael Brandy wrote about Zimmerman’s injuries in the report.

Still, the pictures and the evidence show the neighborhood watch volunteer with a bloody nose on the night of the fight. And a paramedic report says Zimmerman had a 1-inch laceration on his head and forehead abrasion.

“Bleeding tenderness to his nose, and a small laceration to the back of his head. All injuries have minor bleeding,” paramedic Michael Brandy wrote about Zimmerman’s injuries in the report.

But even as the pictures shed light on Zimmerman’s injuries, there‘s still much that’s in the dark. For example, the release of evidence did little to clear up whose voice is screaming for help in the background of several 911 calls made during the fight.

Since first hearing the calls in early March, Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, has been unequivocal in saying it was her son’s voice on the tapes.

But Serino wrote in a report that he played a 911 call for Martin’s father, Tracy, in which the screams are heard multiple times.

“I asked Mr. Martin if the voice calling for help was that of his son,” the officer wrote. “Mr. Martin, clearly emotionally impacted by the recording, quietly responded `no.’”

Zimmerman’s father also told investigators that it was his son yelling for help on March 19.

“That is absolutely positively George Zimmerman,” Robert Zimmerman said. “He was not just yelling, he sounded like he was screaming for his life.”

Investigators sent all the recordings to the FBI for analysis. They were asked to determine who was screaming, and also if Zimmerman might have used an expletive in describing Martin. Prosecutors said in their charging documents that Zimmerman said “(expletive) punks” in describing Martin as he walked in the neighborhood.

But the analyst who examined the recordings determined the sound quality is too poor to decipher what Zimmerman uttered. In regards to the screams during the altercation, there also wasn’t enough clarity to determine who it is “due to extreme stress and unsuitable audio quality.”

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Ah! Ms Sweetlady74 – tells me by her post that she is a Liberal,Democratic, marxist far left at least 35 year old college student who waves communist flags – wears chavez on her Tshirt, has dread locks, has had at least 3 abortions, refuses to use contraceptives, comes from a dysfunctional family – may or may not have 3 to 6 children and does not know who the baby daddy is of any of them and is the same colour as the dead Trayvon, who also votes for white/black Obama— correct me if I am wrong. Now I am a true African and have come from Africa and can categorically state that something stinks about this whole deal. The ayatollah barack wishes he had a son like Trayvon – a hero – a saint – a good boy who is blameless and sinless – I for one refuse to judge the black Trayvon or the half white/Mexican Zimmerman who was doing his duty and was at a place where he was supposed to be to protect property. now it is up to the system to find out who is guilty and who has accepted Ka-ching Ka-ching to make a political statement. WAKE UP AMERICA – the system and government has crumbled under corruption and sellouts.. enough already. As for Ms Sweetlady – to my mind – you aint so sweet crawl back under your rock

It was the black community, black panthers, the media and Rev Al Sharpton that promoted Zimmermans guilt immediately after the shooting before any facts were released on what happened. Judge Jury and Executioner on the spot….. I guess no one gets the right to due process anymore? Trayvon was under the influence, Trayvon towers George but the MSM showed pictures of when he was 14? 3 NBC people got fired over editing audio to make George look racist and guilty. Sit back and the the facts speak, and let the law follow the process that it is supposed to.

OMG, you act like you have problems with people learning the truth. OMG, you wish maybe everyone would just assume that Treyvon was an innocent thief who would do no harm. You ask how the writer knows that Zimmerman didn’t grab Martin by the arm? WTF kind of question is that to make a point? No one knows that? How do you know that Martin didn’t grab Zimmerman by the arm since he towered over him in height. In the first place, you were not there either. The questions the court will decide are: Was Zimmerman attacked by Martin because Zimmerman went out of his way to prevent theft in his community? Or was Zimmerman attacked as he headed back to his car because the 9-11 operator suggested that to him? Did Zimmerman fear for his life when he used deadly force? It is obvious by the stories that Zimmerman was attacked. I ask you, If Zimmerman is being prosecuted unfairly because he defended out of fear of his life is that alright with you as long as someone pays? Would this even be an issue if Martin had continued to beat Zimmerman until he died? Would anyone even care if that happened? I seriously doubt someone like you would care because there is too much Black on White stories that no one cares about. The evil ones call that justice when a white is killed.

Irrespective of what the evidence has shown, have you noticed that the media went with what was popular thinking from start, to middle, and eventually to the finish?

First Martin was the narrative, and slowly it’s transmuting to Zimmerman.

Both of these individuals are being used to perpetuate the fraudcast media. The media won’t stop until both lives are destroyed – and if it continues, there might even be a race war generated in the fervor.

It’s evident to me that the media exists to perpetuate the media. They don’t report the news, they make the news.

When considering what Zimmerman did, I am hesitant to blame him for anything.

He was head of neighborhood watch, and was extremely concerned with another break-in in his neighborhood, since there had already been a series of thefts. Mr. Zimmerman saw a person that he did not recognize; nor would Mr. Martin even acknowledge Mr. Zimmerman.

Trayvon was stupid from the moment he stepped foot in the park. He had no business being there, and with his hoodie up, and refusing to make eye contact with anyone, especially Mr. Zimmerman, his “macho tough man” act got him killed.

Some also mentioned the size difference. Remember that Martin was almost 6 inches taller and pushing the age of being considered an adult under Florida law. There was nothing “kid” about Trayvon.

Could the situation have been handled differently? Yes. Did both parties involved do things that could be considered unwise (or even foolish)? Yes. But like many things in all of our lives, we make stupid mistakes that will haunt us for the rest of our lives, if we are truly honest with ourselves.

What actually happened that night will only be known to two people: Trayvon and George; and, unfortunately, one of them is dead.

I know for me, I could not find George Zimmerman guilty for anything, except maybe using poor judgement on how he possibly handled the situation in the initial beginning stages. We are all speculating, and a person cannot be charged with a crime on speculation; only on fact.

Zimmerman should have never left his car. That being said, HE DID retreat to his car when told not to follow. AT THAT POINT, “Z” was no longer the aggressor. Then, out of nowhere, Travon APPROACHES “Z”. So, at this new point in time, “Z” has stopped following, and returns to his car, so WHO IS NOW THE AGRESSOR? TRAYVON MARTIN IS THE AGRESSOR! When he saw that “Z” had broken off following him, he should have then retreated and gone home. But, no, he chose to be “macho man” and confront “Z”. ALL in all, the little thug got EXACTLY what he deserved. With his past history, it was only a matter of time before his mouth and his macho, overloaded his butt! THUG!!! Good riddance!

The Scales of Justice are broken. They have been for a while now, and the media has already influenced this case just like they have so many others. I am sure the justice system is afraid of a full blown riot if Zimmerman is found not guilty. How can anyone get a fair trial when they have already been found guilty by the media, Al Sharpton and others like him? The prosecutors and courts need to grow a pair. All I am saying is give the man a fair trial.

      @MTCOUNTRYGIRL,

A simple statement: The person held as being the one in the wrong does not always have to be the one who made physical contact first.

If a person has a valid belief that their person is under threat, they have a right to defend themselves. For example, if a person breaks into someone’s home in the middle of the night, the homeowner has the right to defend his home and his family from the person who broke in, as long as he felt his life or the lives of his family were threatened. In this case, the person to make “first contact” was the homeowner, since the intruder only made “first contact” with the back door with a screwdriver.

      Just a little clarification….

If someone breaks into your house, a crime has already been commited and you are defending yourself against it. Following someone on a public street is not a crime. And for those who say Zimmerman threatened Martin with a gun or grabbed him by the arm, there just isn’t any evidence to suggest that. Not to mention any logical person is not going to “go after” someone with a gun when they are unarmed. Which leads me to believe Martin did not know he had a gun. Could he have grabbed his arm? Sure, but there is no proof of that and in America we are inocent until PROVEN guilty.

I realize this is a tough concept for those who are determined to have this case fit into their ideological comfort zone. But bottom line is you can’t claim self defense or stand your ground within a conflict situation you created. The notion that Zimmerman did not instigate the confrontation or strike the 17 year old kid at all is nonsensical. Zimmerman instigated the fight and when he was getting his butt wiped by a KID who weighed 60-70 pounds less, shot him. The sequence of events make the case not some superficial wounds from a fight that we all know occurred. Key is who confronted who and initiated the fight.

Where were the same “ Champions” when a gang of approximately 100 black youths beat a reporter and his friend in Norfolk, Va? Where were those “Champions” when a gang of black youths beat a white man in Chicago?

Actually, according to the LAW a crime did not occur until someone put their hands on someone else. Physical contact is the crime. I can follow you anywhere, I can call you names, I can call your momma names; not a crime. You punching me in the face, ASSULT. Recently their was a story out of Wisconsin about a woman who ran over her husband for standing in front of her car to prevent her from going to vote. Guess which one went to jail? If you are the first to escalate to physical violence, you are the one commiting a crime. Now if Zimmerman started the fight and then shot Martin when he started loosing, he is guilty of manslaughter. But since Martin has no injuries, chances are Zimmerman never got a punch in, backing up his claim that Martin blitz attacked him.

      @JROOK:

      Statement one:
“…this is a tough concept for those who are determined to have this case fit into their ideological comfort zone.”

Several assumptions are being made with this statement. Typing the words “for those”, it would reference segment of responders to the story. But why typed in such a manner, and being first sentence? By making this the premise of your paragraph, the remaining statements become supporting statements of the premise. Unfortunately, when there are logical flaws in the remaining statements, the initial premise is jeopardized.

      Example:

” But bottom line is you can’t claim self defense or stand your ground within a conflict situation you created.”

Not true. If person “A” confronts person “B” for making flagrant and defamatory comments, and “B” responds by assaulting “A”, “A” has the right to self-defense. And, when the situation calls, even deadly force.

      Statement:
“Zimmerman did not instigate the confrontation or strike the 17 year old kid at all is nonsensical.”

Fact: The police, the media, and the friends and loved ones of Trayvon or George were there as first hand witnesses. Therefore it is pure conjecture on who initiated the confrontation.

      Statement:
“Key is who confronted who and initiated the fight.”

Not true. There is a legal difference between a confrontation and a fight.

Therefore, since these statements are incorrect, so is your initial premise.

      Please try again…

Based on what I read, Treyvon’s cell phone records show that while Treyvon was on the phone with his girlfriend, he when back to his father’s girlfriend and then double back to Zimmerman as Zimmerman was going back to his car. Treyvon made it to a secure location (father’s girlfriend house) but considered to leave the location to attack Zimmerman.

Let this be a lesson to everyone – do not call 911. Just shoot ‘em and drive away. You’ll be doing your community a real fine service, and saving yourself a lot of headaches.

You can always say that you fled because you were terrified and suffering PTSD. And if no one comes knocking, you’re free. And if they do, have them talk to your attorney. It really is that simple. You aren‘t guilty for wishing to avoid George’s fate.

The police do not want you to confess or tell them what happened. If they did, they would not make booking photos of the VICTIMS. They WANT to do their forensic work and pin it on the local drug dealer. Let them. The police do not get kudos for a victim telling them what happened and then filing a report. They get kudos for putting some random drug dealer in jail for the crime.

Look at the back of his collar – it says “FREE COUNTRY”. Well, that’s a lie right there, I tell ya. The proof is that the victim is in police custody in the picture.

Sounds like Zimmerman has a better lawyer now. At least the blacks on the jury will see and hear just what happened, and then if they vote ‘guilty’, their consciences will haunt them for the rest of their days. You know, just as they are burning now for voting for Obama simply because he was black. They are all looking at each other, asking where their free stuff is. Pssst, hey, it’s in Iraq and New York.

I still want to know why Trayvon’s family, in spite of knowing there was a young black kid killed in their neighborhood, and in spite of Trayvon going missing the very same night, even though he was only going out for skittles, waited THREE DAYS to contact police. What evidence did they have to get rid of, and to who? Did they call police the day after trash day??? This WILL come out, they were part of Trayvon’s crime circle, and they very well might have been the ones putting him up to all of this.

There’s bad people everywhere, and they come in all colors.

I agree with you – look at the family. father mother – father’s girlfriend etc. etc, etc. I wonder how many are there and what they all indulge in – Food stamps? free rent? free abortions? free contraceptives” Enough – As a mother I cannot understand how the mother of this dead boy allows her son to be used as a political tool unless MONEY CHANGED HANDS!!!!!! WAKE UP AMERICA there are already 53 000 dead voters in Florida – do not let this sort of thing happen again – Too much corruption in the Judicial System and Federal Courts already.

It took 3 days because they had to trademark “justice for trayvon” and something else I cannot remember. Who the hell does that? These parents are trying to capitalize on a tragedy. Trayvon was probably a decent kid who got high and a little too aggressive with a guy that had a gun. Too bad Jesse and Sharpton ruined his reputation in order to get in the limelight, and to get the stand your ground law repealed. The riots the president is trying to incite will kill a lot more people than the gun law.

I try to put myself in Martin’s shoes. What would I do if someone were following me? This has happened to me and I turned around and yelled “Stop!”. But to turn around and beat someone up shows absolute rage. I think this is caused by hatred. I am so tired of the hatred I have witnessed/experienced in the black community despite having been raised myself to love people no matter their color. I wish we could all go back to the simple truth that we are all God’s children and should love one another.

Unfortanately the blacks will never learn to love all. They hold groups of people responsible for their slavery and really should be holding their own responsible for slavery. It would be nice if everyone could get along but it will never happen. God help us when Zimmerman is found innocent.

The msm are all in a tizzy, first the shooter Z isn’t the right color to fit their template,a white man ‘murdering’ a black boy is much better for ratings and could possibly spark a race war, more coverage for the vultures in the msm.Secondly Z’s injuries seem to corroborate his story of self defense,oh well the msm will have to wait for another black boy to get killed, they’re hoping the shooter is Caucasian because they know how that sells.

That’s right. They would love it if it was a blue eyed white skin who they could blame. Why do these Blacks love to hate Whites. I am done trying to think that the races can get along. I put up with a lot and have found excuses for their behavior. Not anymore.

Martin was a typical thug – Zimmerman is lucky to have survived this attack.

Well I can’t wait to see how the media reports on the facts coming out about this case. The same MEDIA that made Obummer look like he was walking on water, the same MEDIA that ignores the 16 TRILLION in debt we have, the same MEDIA that smeared Toyota for months and nothing was found, the same Media that loved the Arab “SMELL” I mean Spring. Getting my point!

It’s Duke all over again. The mainstream media and the rest of the liberal hoard have had another door slammed in their freakish faces. Will they learn a lesson?…of course not, they’re mentally ill. But, they’ll soon be forgotten like the fathers most of them never had.

DISENLIGHTENED you are right, but I have heard some of the media “experts” suggest that Zimmerman could still be convicted because he followed Martin instead of remaining in his vehicle. So I guess the next time I suspect someone may be following me I have the right to beat his head into the concrete. I guess this is the left’s war on community watch organizations.

The liberal media and mindset is what got this kid killed. This kid has been doing whatever he wants for his entire life and nobody ever told him when he was wrong. All he ever heard was that “he was a victim”. He and many young black males fail to learn personal responsibility and respect for others. I believe that is what caused him to launch into an anger filled attack on George Zimmerman who was simply doing what any American has a right to do: Protect his neighborhood. Yes! He actually has a right to protect his neighborhood! Imagine that! You as an American have the right to monitor your neighborhood for crime. What an odd concept? You mean I can actually stop someone from committing a crime THEN call the police? Yes….you can. Now, all sarcasm aside, I wouldn’t advocate this, but it is within the law in every state that I’m aware of for a private citizen to stop, detain and arrest an individual based on probable cause JUST like the police do every day. Now I’m not suggesting this is the case with Zimmerman/Martin. I believe that Zimmerman was simply following Martin and Martin became enraged and attacked him. But, I have no evidence to support my belief. Nevertheless, Zimmerman is legally permitted to watch Martin. As a matter of fact the police do this everyday in the USA. They conduct covert AND overt surveillance all the time. It is a legal and commonly used tactic. The police are simply paid to do it on our behalf.
