New Details Emerge About Radical Imam Anwar al-Awlaki’s Pentagon Luncheon

Back in October, FOX News broke the startling news that radical Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki was a guest speaker at a Pentagon luncheon just months after the Sept. 11 attacks.   As you may recall, Awlaki was the first American to earn himself a coveted spot on the CIA’s kill or capture list.  This week, even more disturbing information was released about Awlaki’s Pentagon visit.

New Details Emerge About Radical Imam Anwar al Awlakis Pentagon Luncheon

Sadly, it seems that nobody from the FBI communicated with the Pentagon prior to the luncheon about Awlaki’s ties to 9/11 terrorists.  The FBI had interviewed him at least four times during the week following the 9/11 attacks, as he had ties to three hijackers — Nawaf al-Hazmi, Khalid al-Mihdhar and Hani Hanjour (ironically, all three were on board the plane that crashed into the Pentagon).

FOX News has more:

…documents show that more than 70 people were copied on the invitation, which originated in the Defense Department’s Office of the General Counsel. It is home to the Pentagon’s top lawyer.

“I have reserved one of the executive dining rooms for February 5th, which is the date he (Awlaki) preferred,” a defense department lawyer wrote in the e-mail announcing the event.

“He (Awlaki) will be leaving for an extensive period of time on February 11th.”

The e-mail states that New Mexico born al-Awlaki was the featured guest speaker on “Islam and Middle Eastern Politics and Culture.”

The Defense Department lawyer who vetted the imam wrote that she “had the privilege of hearing one of Mr. Awlaki’s presentations in November and was impressed by both the extent of his knowledge and by how he communicated that information and handled a hostile element in the audience.”

Clearly, someone failed to run a comprehensive background check.  How a known associate of 9/11 terrorists was invited to speak in the very building his comrades sought to destroy is perplexing.  This radical, who was so widely sought out as an expert back in 2002, is now considered a top threat to U.S. security.  He’s hiding in Yemen, where U.S. forces have been seeking him out.

    I wish we could go back to having great military minds in the White House that’s only focus is on keeping us safe. All this stuff that has become the focus of our national government rather than the business of state and local government has “left” us completely vulnerable to attack and destruction. We need another George Washington and it does not matter what color his skin is. Personally I think it is Congressman Allen West.

    If you don’t think the military would kill Americans in terror attack to justify war against other countries, all you need to do is google my screen name and you’ll get the official plan to stage terror attacks in the U.S. in order to justify a war against Cuba. Then you can google the name Operation Gladio where western intelligence agencies were caught blowing up trains and buses in Europe in order to blame communist groups. It’s all declassified and out in the open. You should see for yourself just how rotten our government really is before you go buying into the latest terror propaganda.

    Mr. Awlaki ran the fort hood shooter and underwear bomber. What a coincidence the he’s dining at the pentagon and then later his stooge with a bomb in his underwear is used to roll out the body scanners and grope downs. It was also revealed that the underwear bomber was let into the country on the orders of an unnamed us intelligence agency according to the state department. Here‘s how this scam works in case you haven’t figured it out yet. Awlaki is recruited by the pentagon to run the idiot terror patsies and then they attack and the government uses the attack to create a police state to keep the citizens in line as their wealth is being stolen by the pentagons banker buddies on Wall street. Anybody sick of being scammed yet?

    First off, let me say when Obama says he speaks for Americans or the US, he’s way off base. He speaks for himself. No one listens or even ask the American people what they want or believe in any more. . Obama is doing what he wanted to do from the start. People who wanted change with Obama are getting it, but not in the good way they were thinking. He has had an alertior motive from the beginning, I believe, and that was to belittle the US and bring us to our knees in front of other countries. What he doesn’t seem to realize is what it says in the Bible about countries or nations that turn their back on Israel..(.guess he was too busy reading other things besided the Bible in his Father’s country and where ever he really came from), but that’s exactly what he is doing by siding with Palestine.And, why is he trying to get in the middle to start with and spend money the US doesn‘t have because we’re broke already?.Any other President at any other time in the US would have been booted out of office by now for the decisions he’s made for America. Did it start with him, no. Will it end with him? no. But the damage is done and, in my opinion, past the point of fixing. Americans have been sleeping and not paying enough attenton to what the left hand is doing from the right (and I’m not refering to the parties). It’s sad to see a once great nation that so many have shed their blood and so many their lives to defend, a once proud and patriotic people crumble like it is doing

    It might be ten years ago, but that doesn’t matter. Anyone who should have known has to be fired, even if they have moved to other positions in government. It’s time to cut the crap. If you work for the taxpayers and screw up like this, you have to go – and leave your pensions and healthcare behind.

    Whether hired appointed or elected – there is no reason to pay fools for the rest of his lives when he or she screws the pooch this badly. Any who are all ready retired should lose their pensions and healthcare today.

    I can only conclude from the latest “revelations” coming from the administration that they are either 1) blithering fools who do not understand the basic human nature the islamics display or, 2) they are part and parcel with them. Remember all those reports that BHO is a closet muslim? Wanna revisit that discussion? I maintain that ‘by their fruits ye shall know them’ speaks louder than whatever the administration says. the third possibility is even darker in nature and that is the administration is deliberately ‘whacking the hornet’s nest’ with a stick in order to cause whatever chaos they think they can benefit from…

    This was no accident. Nor was hitting the Pentagon with a MISSLE in the perfect spot. Where it had been reinforced and very few were stationed.

    I am not an Alex Jones nut. But I new a lot of folks who there and found no plane wreckage and analyzed the heat sigs on the walls. Definitley a missle.

    Anyways, no one gets in that’s not supposed to. We are compromised to the core folks. All and I mean freak’n all need to go. Osama and gang all had help inside the U.S government. That’s why Dick and Rummy had the CIA tapes destroyed. They were naming names inside our house.

    Now both sides are putting the screws to us again with the budget and the illegal patriot act. People need to take off the blinders and see what’s been goin on for real.

    This guy is unbelievable and the government cannot or will not end him. He slips in and out of the country unnoticed and we are unable to catch him. He has muiltiple passports, and we have paid for his schooling here in the USA. He had a reality type video a day in the life of an Imam and we cannot or will not catch him. A drone misses him and next he will be on dancing with the czars hosted by premier obama. Great vetting by our government.

      Do you have a source to back that up? I would think it’s more a result of inefficiencies in communication between branches of the government; or even more likely, competition between departments. A lot of folks in the FBI don’t like the NSA or the CIA.

      Yes, my source is logic. After we were bombed by the Japanese at Pearl Harbor, we did not have hundreds and thousands of meetings, pow-wows, brunches, or press conferences with Japanese leaders. Certainly not *ALL* Japanese wished to be at war with America, but enough did.

      We have no NEED to deal with the Muslims. We can get our energy elsewhere. OPEC is a criminal organization anyhow and it may be run by Ahmadinajad very soon.

      Here is my point: If we would have cut off all contact with Muslim “leaders” and “imams” after 9/11 this mistake would not have happened. There, I just backed it up.

Sadly, he was wrong, as far as I can tell, they are the ONLY religion in the world that encourages honor killings, beheadings, intentionally killing innocents.       Big government/Huge bureaucracy is a truly wonderful thing isn’t it! If the agencies would stop trying to protect their turf and work together our nation might stand a chance!!

      We need to have more OBL/UBL operations whenever & wherever possible. At its heart the fight against radical extremists is a military problem, aided of course by the various intelligence agencies. Our military can do the job if they are allowed to.       Well the Pentagon first invited Franklin Graham to speak–then told him he was not welcome at the Pentagon. when Congress–and the American People were Moral and Religious people we had Gen.George Washington begging for Chaplains which finally was granted July9,1776-and that day Gen.George Washington declared he expected ALL Officers and men to endeavor so to live and act as becomes a Christian Soldier. …Now the Pentagon says it’s OK with Gays serving as a protected group and sodomy in the ranks -and invites the enemy to Tea?       These people are idiots, and yet there are those who think that they are behind the attacks on 9-11. CT’s abound that the DOD stole the planes, bombed the WTC, and launched a missile at the Pentagon. They can’t even organize a luncheon! How, in the world, can they get thousands of people to plan and carry out the attack, or even keep a secret? Yes, there was a conspiracy, but it was not the Department of Defense!
