New Film Tells ‘Untold Story’ of the Collapse of European Communism

Czech/American producer Robert Buchar has been working to collect witness testimony and historical research for a new film focused on a freedom movement of 1989 in Soviet Moscow — in the offices of the Russian KGB.

“People will simply believe what they wish to believe. More people indulge their own ideas of the world rather than deal with its realities…,” Buchar says. “I realized that the collapse of the communism in Europe is one of the most incredible stories of the century and the public should know what really happened.”

By piecing together an “unprecedented body of interviews,” Buchar says his new film, “The Collapse of Communism — The Untold Story,“ will give the public ”the big picture of what really happened.”

From Buchar’s website:

During the final phase of the Cold War the Soviet Union, under its dogmatic and visibly senile party bosses, was sinking into near-bankruptcy. Yuri Andropov, Chairman of the KGB, the only organization with both a full knowledge of the state of the economy and a mastery of strategic decisions, came to the conclusion that there was no cure for the grave illness of the communist system. To preserve the wealth that threatened to slip out of the leaders hands, he masterminded a nearly unthinkable program, throwing into the fire Moscow’s rule over the Eastern European bloc, and, as it turned out, the ruling party of the USSR itself. Though Andropov died in 1984, the signs of his hand in the events that followed remain visible, as well as the role of his handpicked successor Mikhail Gorbachev. Our witnesses testify that what appeared to be a spontaneous freedom movement in 1989 was in fact a coup d’etat orchestrated from Moscow, in offices of the Russian KGB.

Perhaps for the first time in known history, we have walked through a revolution without realizing who are the real winners and losers.

The consequences are far reaching and people in the West seem to have a short memory…

Folks, just remember that the rest of the world knows how short our memory is. The U.S. only thinks in, at most, 8 year cycles. Russia and China both think in terms of a hundred years or more.
At work I sit next to a man who emigrated from the Ukraine almost 20 years ago and am told on an almost daily basis that our politicians are fools. He says that Americans (not the government-citizens) don’t pay attention to what is REALLY going on and because of that, we really are SHEEPLE! Watch out folks! We call things conspiracies that seem improbable; things that we don’t WANT to believe. There is evil in this world and it has unlimited patience.
Look at this article from 9 September and then wonder why it was not picked up by MSM or even Glenn or Alex Jones or someone else outside the flow. Why were these guys released? Why were they allowed to leave the country? My co-worker said that the old Soviet Union not only had suit case bombs, they had very small pulse weapons (EMP) not much bigger than a beer can. The Communists and Muslims don’t want to “KILL” us. They just want us dead or disabled so that we won’t fight back. We don’t have to die in a BLAZE to die from war. Our enemies just have to take out our UNPROTECTED GRID and we will drop, like the SOFTIES that we are.
Wake up and see behind the curtain. The Wizard is yanking on the strings NOW!

Now to Europe. They have been living the lie for over a half of a century. They fell into the chasm after the second world war. With the tragedy the war caused most Europeans lost their Faith in God and their Nations ability to protect them. It wasn‘t long before the gleaming light of Socialism shone it’s light on the suffering. It offered equality of the massses never before seen by the poor and they took advantage of it. The Secular Socialist Societies that plagued Europe at the time dangled just the right carrot and the people of Europe bit into it. When the system began it’s failure a few years ago they tried to energize it by uniting the nations under one economic system The Euro. And we know how that failed. Now that they have fallen into a deep chasm they finnaly are blaming the system that got them there. Communism. In other clearer words. Wake up America it’s Social Reform unsustainable

This sounds interesting. Read some of the ‘stories’ about Obama working for the CIA during the Afghanistan/Russian war. During the 1980′s, as a “student”, did he travel between Pakistan and Russia helping the CIA fund the Taliban in Afganistan? We know he went to Pakistan during this time but not why. Stories say his mother was working in Pakistan during this time for Timothy Geithner’s father who was connected to Soros. We also know that records show he had no passport prior to 1995. As a ‘poor’ unknown, unqualified student, who got him into two of the top US colleges ? After Harvard, did he end up in Chicago ‘organizing” because he no ‘history’ to enable him to get a real job? Did he make his way up the ladder in the corrupt Chicago political machine to be placed in the White House by the CIA/KGB? Is Putin still running the KGB ? All these stories of how he managed to accomplish so much when he had no family, no job, no money, is very interesting. We know nothing about this man except that he seems to have strong ties to countries who want to destroy the U.S. I love conspiracies, just to keep your imagination working. Read up on these stories, they are more interesting than the ‘birther stories’.

You are right! Anyone that has been watching this destroyer Obummer, especially since he got into the white house, has to realize that the direction the country is now going in was planned a long time ago and this EVIL DESTROYER was groomed for this job. The worst part of this is that he is in the white house illegally. He was born in Kenya. Obummer has spent over $1 million hiding this and the Hawaiian birth certificate is a phony. Quite some time back, Obummer’s grandmother in Africa stated she was present when Obummer was born and he was born in Africa.

It is obivious that both Russia and China still wish control over the world. Anyone who would believe otherwise is either very naive or extremly stupid. The one thing both countries have understood for sometime it takes money to run their nation. And what better way to obtain money is to make it the good old fashion way Capitalism. But what really confounds me is they dupped are so called intelligent elite into investing money, technology and our resourcefulness in the building of their economies.Case in point it wasn’t that long ago that both countries were in a state of collapse. With our help they rose from the gutter to a point they no longer value or even need the backing of our currency. They placed us exactly where they wanted us a junk debtor nation. If you don’t believe that just look around while you are doing your Christmas shopping this year 9 chances out of 10 the bobble that you buy will say Made In China.

It is too bad our public education system does not tell this truth. My kids were fortunate to have a private education through high school where truths and values were taught. It is funny how multiple points of view, truth and history can remain when educators and adminstrators are “employees” of the parents, Our school taught and debated both liberal and conserative points of view, kids made up their own minds…not programed!!

My kids got a rude awaking in the public university system…but with a strong foundation they were able to re-buff the lies of liberals educators with the historical facts (cost them some grade points though). Now..one child is an lawyer and the other is an executive both in their twenties.

The American Dream is alive and well as long as there is truth, history and justice (not social justice). My kids are doing better than me when I was that age, I surpassed my farther and my father surpassed my grandfather who came through Ellis Island and taught his parents to speak English!

Oh and buy the way, my grandfather worked two jobs and put himself through Northwestern University and was one of the youngest captain in the US Navy in World War I. Not bad for a guy who couldn’t speak English till age six. He detested the “old country” socialist ways!

When the cold war “ended,” it didn’t really end. It came home to places like Santa Monica and Hollywood, where those apparatcheks now operate. As soon as our military wins all America’s wars on foreign soil, it would be really nice if efforts could be made to liberate places in our country like California. A good place for them to start might be California’s colleges and universities, where bullies in academia hammer students with the Marxist/Communist agenda.

When Reagan told Gorbachev to “tear down this wall”, I think Gorbachev did it for two reasons:

    1) to appease the people.
    2) to let America think she could drop down her guard.

I’ve been to China and Russia, and their governments’ priority is world domination. Period.

Commies typically don’t appease the people, but Gorbachev was younger and well-traveled by the time he took office. In the face of crisis, he wisely decided to join ‘em, i.e., Reagan, Thatcher and Pope John Paul II. By contrast, Castro and Mao were hardliners who chose to let the people starve to death while they indulged in luxuries. Obama belongs to the latter group, and he will watch Americans increasingly fall into poverty while he and his queen live lavishly (next on the agenda: Prince Harry’s wedding).

I do agree with you that the apparatchiks were extremely unhappy with Gorbachev’s political shift, and the democratic experiment went badly until Putin, who is a brilliant but sinister man, came along and implemented a neo-communist model (state capitalism). Thus, your last statement holds true at this point in time.

Let’s sell off all the nukes we have to “eliminate”. No let’s give them away to Venezuela, Iran, Lybia, Syria, North Korea. We need to incorporate into the launch codes an undetectable “stutz worm” that will cause the “gifted” warheads to detonate before launch if they are ever aimed at the U.S. or her allies and fired. No launch codes would be released to a requesting country until the destination coordinates were irreversiblely locked in first. A perfect “counter-intellegence” procedure like that would fake those camel jockeys out of their power crazed, nutcase minds. Lol.

a number of years ago Gorbachev came to a University near by to speak. I found his words at the time to be very powerful… and very insightful. There was one statement that he made that held an haunting quality to it, especially in light of the recent spy incident and the POTUS desire to hand over our country to Russia. His words were something to the effect… “You Americans, you have no patience. You are a new country and you have no patience. Everything is now. We Russians, we have a long history. We have patience. We can wait. We know how to wait.”…

Russia is not to be trusted, and yet we are signing a Start Treaty, and a Small Arms Treaty, and have agreed to let them be the chariot to the space station with US personnel hitching a ride from them. They continue to actively deal and supply our stated enemies, yet we are trusting them? What is wrong with our leaders… or … maybe … just maybe there is nothing wrong with our leaders. Manchuraian candidate? Congress wake up. Defend this country from a socialist, communist takeover. Time is short.

We THOUGHT we had killed all the aliens, but by the time the Soviet Empire “collapsed” they had laid their gooey monster eggs all over the world, including America. The truth is we never destroyed the mother ship. They just patiently laid low while the winds of democracy blew strong. In Asia communism actually thrived, because Washington thought China too would come around if we offered them the carrot; and that we did till we ran out of carrots. In Africa and Latin America communism learned to survive off drug/human trafficking, kidnapping and other illegal activities.

Gorbachev and Reagan are dead, so scr*w Gates, Hillary, Powell, Obama and all other supporters of the new Start Treaty. Russia wiped out the Polish govt. in one calculated, sinister blow. What a tragedy! One would think the Poles should have known better, but one fatal error was all it took.

Do they want you all to think this is not a Republic? I think everyone who swears to uphold something should know what it is. This is a ‘REPUBLIC.’

Democracy can lead to Socialism which leads to Communism,
Anarchy leads Fascism or Marxism or the 2 above.
Capitalism and Libertarianism combined are a pretty good match. Libertarians don‘t care what you do as long as you don’t mess with them or screw up things for others.
A Republic, which is what we have and is the 1st and only time it has ever been tried. It has been tainted by Greed for crooked Capitalist, Socialist hidding as Progressives or Liberals.
