‘The Coming is Near’: New Eerie Iran Propaganda Vid Trumpets Imminent Return of 12th Imam

“New evidence has emerged that the Iranian government sees the current unrest in the Middle East as a signal that the Mahdi–or Islamic messiah–is about to appear.”
So begins an ominous report by CBN’s Erick Stakelbeck detailing a propaganda video reportedly “approved at the highest levels of the Iranian government.“ That video explains ”all the signs are moving into place — and that Iran will soon help usher in the end times.”
Regular Beck viewers may know the Mahdi by another name, the twelfth imam — a term not lost to Stakelbeck, who writes thattThe new video “describes current events in the Middle East as a prelude to the arrival of the mythical twelfth Imam or Mahdi — the messiah figure who Islamic scriptures say will lead the armies of Islam to victory over all non-Muslims in the last days.”
Stakelbeck reports, and includes excerpts from the video called “The Coming is Near:”
Joel C. Rosenberg, interviewed in the CBN piece, has been a guest writer on The Blaze. As part of our series “Understanding Egypt,” he wrote:
The leaders in Tehran could not be more excited by the revolution now underway in Egypt and are praying the Mubarak regime collapses and the Muslim Brotherhood come to power. For them, such events would be dramatic new evidence that the End of Days has come, infidel Arab regimes are on the road to collapse, Western influence in the Mideast is declining, Israel is one step closer to being annihilated, and the Twelfth Imam is one step closer to arriving and establishing the worldwide Islamic kingdom known as the “caliphate.”
Back in February, Beck devoted part of his TV program to the idea of the twelfth imam:
Beck’s documentary, “Rumors of War,“ also details the scary beliefs of the ”twelvers:”
You can watch that here.

Posted on March 28, 2011 at 2:13pmIn desperate times, people often turn to religion as a form of solice and hope. This is no different for the Muslims.
Sadly, this precisely how Communist/Facist/Nationalist States are formed. This would be considered: stage one of the infection.
Now I see why history seems to repeat itself. Seems like there are a whole lot of people that need a good slapping — a nice wake-up call, even in this country.
I hope we have time enough, to quash the roots of communism, before Soros gets a foot-hold. He has already deposited his gold and will flood it on the market as soon as the “Bernank” devalues the dollar to critical levels. Then Soros will take those dollars and buy up commercial real estate, manufacturing companies, raw materials resources, and media assets for pennies on the New World Dollar.
Seems like the political right needs to double-time, positioning itself for the GREAT REDISTRIBUTION, so that the left doesnt own all the economic chess pieces when the new game is afoot. I do hope so.

Posted on March 28, 2011 at 2:28pmPeople should be turning to Christ because of what Christ did for each one of us on the cross. He doesn’t want us out of FEAR. He wants each of us out of LOVE. However, if you know ANYTHING about the Bible, you will know that prophecy has been fulfilled and believers will soon be raptured out of here. And, even if you do not believe in a pre-trib rapture, know that believers have the promise of eternity with God and Jesus FOREVERMORE. If that isn’t enough for someone, then their heart is in the wrong place.

It is MEANINGLESS because you have absolutely NOTHING to look forward to, do you? Without Jesus, you cannot enter Heaven. Without Jesus, you cannot be forgiven before God. Without Jesus, you are at Satan’s mercy, who has none. This life is but a footstep away from the next world. You get to choose which one you want to go to by whom you serve: Jesus or Satan. Jesus was foretold throughout the OT and fulfilled every prophecy about his birth, life, death, and resurrection. Muhammad was never prophesied about before His birth, not even once. Has any other prophesy in the Qu’ran come true? Just one is all I ask. The prophesy of Jesus about the destruction of the temple that occurred in 70 AD was prophesied and just as Jesus said not one stone would be left on another. True to form the Romans took every stone off of the other to acquire the gold in between them. Just one I could use.

How many people did God kill in the bible?
The loving and merciful god of the bible left a fair amount of documentation about how many people he personally killed. Some of it must be intuited as the accounts don’t give specific figures. Someone provided a figure using rough estimates and a fair breakdown on this web page and arrived at a figure of 33,041,220 people. This is a high estimate and others estimate a much lower figure of 2.8 million.
How many people did Satan kill in the bible?
It appears that Satan only killed 10 people: the seven sons and three daughters of Job. And he only does this because god allowed it as part of a bet!. Technically the blood is on god’s hands for these as well.

Posted on March 28, 2011 at 2:01pmLet’s say your estimate is correct, God is responsible for about 20 to 30 million deaths over a minimum of 5 to 10 centuries.
Do you know how many of his own Chinese people that Mau-Tse Tung either murdered or let them starve to death in less than three decades? The more moderate estimates are about 70 Million. Mao decided to centralize the food storage of corn for about 5 years. The starvation rate increase two-fold over each year. Finally, one of his advisors suggested that maybe the idea was not going to work. Mao agreed and changed the system somewhat. But, 31 million people starved to death. Hmmmm.
Then there is Vladamir Lenin, Stalin, Hitler all who have a combined total over 200 million, all within a period of 60 years.
If what I say is true, then would it be fair to say that man apparently has a far greater propensity to kill than God?

Remember wonderful king david you were taught about in sunday school? I implore you to go back and read it again if you haven’t for yourself.
In the story David isn‘t only an adulterer in his old ’wise’ age, but extremely vidictive. He promised one man on the side of the road he wouldn’t kill him for slandering his household, BUT on David’s deathbed, David tells one of his guards to kill the man. The Bible says that David says, “you go forth and smite him because i promised him that i wouldn’t so after I die go forth and kill him”(paraphrase).
This is only ONE story with an ‘alternate’ ending that i was never taught about.
BTW, since you mentioned the story of the flood; i’ll mention the Epic of Gilgamesh – a story that predates the Noah story by over 1000 years!!

The talking points in the OP are just that, talking points. Can we have a discussion on the contradictions in OUR faith? You don’t have to believe me about reading the bible, it’s ok – what you must believe is that the answers are out there and the bible doesn’t have all of them..
Ask the Muslims who’d vehemently defend their faith, as we do, about the Jinn (aka shooting stars). If the Muslims truly believed that ALL TRUTH was in the Koran, they’d be in for a pretty rough life, as you would be with your bible.
I prayed before reading the Bible every time asking for forgiveness and understanding while reading HIS word. He came through, but not how you’d expect. He made me ask many, many questions that have diverted me away from the Main Stream Religion of Christianity. Take it or leave it, but I find this convo part of my duty spreading HIS word….

Posted on March 28, 2011 at 5:12pm@clemV: I too had trouble with the seemingly contradictions of the Old Testament but thank goodness have made peace with it all. For me, the most important message in the Bible is found in the New Testament which is our new covenant or contract (so to speak) with God. This is my first post discussing my religious beliefs so please bear with me and forgive any unintentional offense. In my opinion, most folks have already arrived at a decision and its difficult for each side to be objective to the others’ point of view. The theme of the New Testament is LOVE illustrated immeasurably by the willing sacrifice of Jesus for the sins of the world. For me to understand the God of the Old Testament, I view Him as He describes Himself in those passages – He is all things including vengeance and a jealous God. He cannot abide sin and we are separated from him by sin which is why the sacrifice of Jesus was necessary. I see God as a superior spirit with more dimensions than anyone could ever comprehend. When I read of the slaughter in the Old Testament, I tell myself that He can see into the hearts of man thus knows what lies therein. He had a plan and a purpose when He allowed the killings and Wars in His name and who am I to question His reasons? On a lighter note, at least He doesn’t portray Himself like our politicians do … He, at least, reveals all sides to us, even the attributes that we consider to be unkind or cruel. It all starts with faith and if you believe in a supreme God, then you can accept that He is all knowing – “omni-everthing”. Thanks for allowing me to present my side. You make very sound objections – the same ones that most folks make when searching for the truth.

Posted on March 28, 2011 at 5:54pmThe True God described himself to Moses and by reading God’s description we can learn some of his personality and his purposes toward mankind.
Exodus 34:4 Accordingly Moses carved out two tablets of stone like the first ones and got up early in the morning and went on up into Mount Si´nai, just as Jehovah had commanded him, and he was taking the two tablets of stone in his hand. 5 And Jehovah proceeded to come down in the cloud and station himself with him there and declare the name of Jehovah. 6 And Jehovah went passing by before his face and declaring: “Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving-kindness and truth, 7 preserving loving-kindness for thousands, pardoning error and transgression and sin, but by no means will he give exemption from punishment, bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon sons and upon grandsons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation.”
8 Moses at once hurried to bow low to the earth and prostrate himself. 9 Then he said: “If, now, I have found favor in your eyes, O Jehovah, let Jehovah, please, go along in the midst of us, because it is a stiff-necked people, and you have to forgive our error and our sin, and you must take us as your possession.” 10 In turn he said: “Here I am concluding a covenant: Before all your people I shall do wonderful things that have never been created in all the earth or among all the nations; and all the people in the midst of whom you are will indeed see the work of Jehovah, because it is a fear-inspiring thing that I am doing with you.

Posted on March 28, 2011 at 8:56pmI find that the reason many people struggle with God and His word is that they think they are the Judge of Him and His ways not the other way around. The first and main purpose of all creation is that God in all His character, as expressed in the word, be expressed in fullness and and completeness. Thus He is a God of Love, but also of Justice, a God of Mercy, but also of wrath, a Gentle and Humble God and a conquering King and warrior. Look at the expression of Jesus in the Gospels as a sacrificed lamb, a suffering servant, a mocked king, a beaten savior, a crucified son. But in Revelation as Alpha and Omega, King of Kings, Treading out the wine press of the wrath of God, Conqueror and Ultimate Ruler. That is first and foremost the purpose of creation. Our part of that creation is to submit to him in love as the Almighty who determines the “rules”, who believes in faith that he loves us and works all things for the good of those who love Him, and that we are to glorify Him for all His attributes as revealed in scripture. So that whether someone willful loves and follows and so glorifies Him for His mercy and grace or someone questions and rebels and so glorifies His justice all creation serves to the end of glorifying His character and attributes. So then the stories of the OT were written down to reveal certain spiritual realities about good and evil Jesus and Satan. So when you see the “killing” going on then understand as the author and giver of life, God has the right to take that life as is the case for every Human being born. All will and do die and this is by the command of God for the wages of sin. So every second that you live, every breathe is the merciful gift of God who owes you no sense of your fairness, but could justly extinguish yours, mine or anyone else life as the result of our (all humanity) sin. In this you accuse Him who has been exceedingly gracious and patient of wrong doing and evil to the end that you sit in Judgment of Him and His ways not understanding that it is you and all of us that will answer to the only Judge. I pray you will search more for a clear and accurate understanding of God’s word.

Maybe you should quote your namesake more often: “Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity.”
-Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782.
Now I have no clue if Jefferson was a Christian or Agnostic (arguments can be made on both sides), he certainly didn’t build his ideology out of the Bible. Let alone the book of revelations.
I hate to say it, but after reading several comments on this thread, moderate Christians are not really all that different from moderate Muslims. It is the extremes on both ends that are praying for fulfillment of their scriptures to its bloody end.
Life imitates art in more ways than one. Question is will the super-majority of moderates allow the extreme-minority of nutjobs from both spectrums to sink all of mankind? Now thats the 64 trillion dollar question.

That comment is anti-nature. It’s anti-capitalist. Nature designs winners and losers to ensure life continues. With nature, it’s nothing personal, its just business. The same can be said of me for Christians. Recently I’ve actually found a few things, mind you a “few,” in Shariah Compliant Fiance that I actually tend to agree with. Such things as Naked Short Selling and Credit Default Swaps would never have happened under Shariah Compliant Finance due to the immorality in selling that which one does not own and that in CDS’s, the investor does not share in the risk of the endeavor. There are many things that our cultures can learn from each other if we do not end up killing each other first.

To accept that there is a moral law that applies to all of mankind admits there must be a transcendent law giver. Otherwise, no basis for which claiming value to a moral code can be made. It is no different to currency that has no real basis for its value (fiat currency) will eventually create more and more debt and the creation of more and more currency eventually leading to a collapse if that currency is not backed by something that gives it inherent value. In the same way moral objections cannot have a basis or foundation rooted in substance or value apart from a law giver that is extrinsic to and transcendent above our existence.

Posted on March 29, 2011 at 10:50amFor those of you who think Satan who will pretend to be Christ “the anti Christ” will come and kill Christians, how in the world can he make Christians worship him by beheading them? Many Christians are going to think Satan is Christ because they do not understand the propehcies. Read 2 Thes 2:3,4. with understanding. Also understand why half of the Christians did not make it in Matt 25, the parable of the 10 virgins. If you worship Satan you will be an unfaithful bride.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
The “falling away,” if you do not understand that, you might fall away from your first love, Christ and worship the anti-Christ, Satan. Time is running our so you betta figure it out soon.
As for this “Mahdi,” I believe there will be a time when some Muslim countries will attack Israel and bring the entire world‘s economy to it’s knee. When that happens, the whole world will welcome in George Soros’ “new global financial order,” http://www.theblaze.com/stories/looming-soros-conference-will-focus-on-rearranging-global-financial-order/
Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
“All the world wondered after the beast” yes, after a world economic collapes, the world will welcome in the the One World Government.
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Are you going to be deceived and fall for this trick? Or are you gonna prepare?
As for Rev 20:4, Who did John see around the Thorn of God? 24 elders, John the Baptist comes to mind. Look at Rev 4:4 “And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.”

I speak with poor grammar regularly, and with proper grammar when I want to.
Are you going to challenge an english honors graduate on proper grammar?
Ok. Let’s begin, grasshopper!
Rule 7. When you are quoting something that has a spelling or grammar mistake or presents material in a confusing way, insert the term sic in italics and enclose it in brackets. Sic means, “This is the way the original
material was.”
Example: She wrote, “I would rather die then [sic] be seen wearing the same outfit as my sister.”
Should be than, not then.
You also used one more period then you should have in your Ellipsis.
Silence.

I misspelled a commonly misspelled word, “than vs. then”, so common that it was used in an example that I copied and pasted DIRECTLY from an english grammar website.
Why would you put [sic] after the word “you” when it was used properly?
If you we’re such an automatic grammar checker, then you wouldn’t have incorrectly put [sic] after the word “you”, and you would’ve noticed that I incorrectly capitalized the word “ellipsis”.
In what form of the english language is “You also used one more period then you should have in your Ellipsis.” poor sentence structure?
Are you illiterate?
Brevity is not what defines poor vs. excellent sentence structure!
It’s a matter of preference! I don’t have to make it shorter or more concise for your preference, it’s my prerogative.
The use of “too many” rather THAN “one more than you should have” is irrelevant and inconsequential!
I would even venture to say that you’re being extremely petty and petulent like an adolescent yearning to best a college graduate.
I bet my degree is more real THAN your imaginary one.
I haven’t forgotten any of my lessons, I’m human, I make mistakes.
I simply forgot that when in a public forum such as this, I should expect to encounter the most juvenile insults and petulent, tangential, irrelevant arguments such as these, when the person challenging me is unable to present valid arguements about the topic at hand.

I believe personally, that the anti-christ won’t be revealed until the rapture takes place, when Jesus calls HIS believers up to Him, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. THEN, and only then will God allow Satan to have COMPLETE dominion over earth. Right now Satan only has partial dominion because of the angels and the Holy Spirit. When Jesus raptures His people, the Holy Spirit will also be removed from earth’s dominion.
All of you out there who do not know Jesus, you have a very short window of time to get on your knees. Events are happening faster than they ever have before. Satan KNOWs he has a very short time left to rake all the unbelievers in. Satan will make you laugh at me and other believers; mocking Jesus, denying what is happening. DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT…..it could be the end of you. Just ask Jesus to forgive you for all your sin (past, present, future) and save you and that’s all you need to do besides THANK HIM FOR SAVING YOUR SOUL FOR HIS OWN. Then grab a Bible and READ it! It will be the Holy Spirit that takes believers out of here when Jesus calls us up to Him. Do not be deceived by the devil. He is a liar, a thief and the ultimate deceiver. DO NOT ALLOW SATAN TO MAKE YOU BELIEVE OTHERWISE. He wants you to remain here. Problem is, there will be no Holy Spirit here to help you, if you are left. Believers: PLEASE get your friends and family ready. We still have a bit of time left, but it is progressing rapidly. Pray and read your Bible daily and as much as you can. WE ARE GETTING OUT OF HERE SOON!
God gave me an ongoing dream over 3 years ago. He showed me from the heavens, some cities in America. As he allowed me to get closer to see the people on the streets, I was shocked at what I saw. Americans were fighting one another. There were no foreign enemies. They were American citizens. There was blood everywhere. Satan wants us to do this to one another. DO NOT FIGHT YOUR BROTHER AND SISTER, whether they are believers or not. You are allowed to defend yourself in your homes – yes, with a gun, BUT USE common sense.
I have had this ongoing dream for 3 years and everytime I have it, it gets worse to watch. God also showed me the demons being unleashed throughout our country. This country is the last country to be taken over totally by Satan. It will eventually, but we will be gone by that time. So, believers, LOOK UP, YOUR REDEMPTION DRAWETH NIGH. Why God showed me these things, I do not know, except that He wanted me to prepare, long before Glenn told us to. I have. I have studied prophecy and the Bible since the 70s, so believe me when I say, our time is very, very short, and is even at the door. ARE YOU READY TO MEET JESUS? OR, WOULD YOU RATHER MEET SATAN? That is totally your choice.
BTW: if anyone believes Israel cannot take care of themselves against their enemies, think again. God has His hands all around them. Their technology is even beyond our own. He will never, ever, ever, allow Al-Queda or anyone else to take Jerusalem away from Israel. (that is in the Bible) IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. It may look like it (peace accords), but it is a ruse. God almighty has a great hedge of protection around His people Israel, and around each believer who serves Christ. We have already won the victory over Satan, just by serving Christ, so continue to pray and get your friends and family ready.

Isn’t that what muslims believe.. the entire “It’s Gods will” line? Thats scary. If anything, God gave us a brain to determine our own outcomes. And to fight against accepting whatever is. In the words of Sir Edmund Burke;

If we are to believe muslims are evil, and therefore christianity is good, then the reality of that position is predestination: Muslims are born evil / Christians are born good (since without one there cannot be the other). This cannot be true. If all people are born sinners, but birth by geographic circumstance determines salvation, then religion is rigged with predetermined goals laced with individual winners and losers.
That must not be true. For if it were, what does that say about the nature of Heaven? Or the nature of God?
For well over 2000 years men have slaughtered one another in the name of religion, causing me to believe that religion is the red-herring of pre-packaged salvation. And now, in the name of religion, Iranian president Ahk-is-a-nutjob is foaming at the mouth for a nuclear arsenal so he can use it, all to satisfy his book of mythology.
What must be defeated here is religious ignorance. That if ‘all men’ are indeed created equal, then religions promoting destruction of your neighbor is the true enemy of all mankind. It doesn’t take a holy-roller to see that.

No argument there. Religions have many good things, and if only one good aspect keeps people living in peace its no harm no foul.
That isn’t what we have here however. What we have are two books (Bible, Koran) that seem to be in direct opposition to the other, with both sides viewing themselves as the good guys, for whatever reason. By themselves, both promote peace. But together they are like Gasoline and Oxygen just waiting for a match. All we have today is a repeat of the Crusades, although admittedly different.

I am wondering why you would ignore your advice to me: “Anyone willing to engage you would only be casting their pearls before swine.”
You have engaged me twice. Not only that, you engaged me first. But I’ll do my best to answer your concerns.
“Well then, it is a good thing you aren’t my judge. Your comment speaks as though you are.”: I never implied I was your Judge.
“And who, pray tell, is a “Christian?” and what does that exactly mean?”: Good question. I really haven’t a clue. But if I were to guess, based on common knowledge of those who profess to be Christians, then I would say Christians are;
– People like Jim and Tammy Baker, who fleeced their flock to the tune of millions, enough to buy a matching pair of rolls royces, fund a 3.4 million dollar bonus, over 200K to pay off Jim’s mistress, all the while defrauding a gullible flock selling non-existent time shares at Heritage USA.
– Catholic Priest… well we know how good they are with our children don’t we?

“Oh, and BTW, Heaven is filled with Wretches just like me……and you.”: Well I guess my (INSERT NAME) comment applies to you too (sorry… completely unintentional). I lay no claim to heaven. Posted on March 28, 2011 at 5:53pm@Encnom- Pay attention, everything has been told ahead of time even the “False Messiah” or Mahdi
Matthew 24:3-14 “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

Would we be right to assume together that perhaps if the Bible be true and if there is an evil personage (Satan) that seeks to deceive many that he would counterfeit that which is real with copies of that original? Much in the same way that currency is counterfeited to look similar to the original so as to fool those who do not look close enough to the details that make one the true currency and the other one worthless? Also you would have to point out in the Qu’ran where it is stated that Allah died for my sins? Or where it says in the Qu’ran to love your enemies and pray for those that persecute you.

Posted on March 29, 2011 at 12:11amHey Show, Quick question for everyone. If this stuff is in the Hadith, and Koran about what is happening now in Middle East, how did Obama know about it unless he was a muslim and had read about it in the Hadith? It seems to me since he started these up risings in the Middle East, and wanted the Muslim Brotherhood at his Egypt speech, he’s been in on this since the beginning! I really think he’s a muslim and even the 12th Imam/Caliph/Caliphate!…. This will all play out, and God help us, and Godspeed!
I don’t think we Bombed Libya to get rid of Quddaffi either! I think he’s using that as an exscuse, to bring the Muslim World/Different Factions together! Obama is Evil, and anyone who doesn’t believe it needs to examine themselves for Brain Damage!… Before the next election, I guarantee the world will be flipped upside down because of him! Not in a good way either! The US will be bankrupt and we’ll be slaves to the Global Elite! People we need to wake up and start putting things together! All this stuff thats happening is no coincidence! He’s evil, and soon we’ll have to worship him!

The leaders of Iran believe they have to conquer Jerusalem before they can usher in the 12th Imam. The law giver to Israel was Jerusalem and Judah, and therefore in the days of old Jerusalem was the “Great Satan” according to the ancient enemies of Israel. Now who is it that Iran’s leaders call the “Great Satan?” Who is it that the leaders of Iran believe they have to conquer before bringing the 12th Imam? It’s the U.S.A.

Posted on March 29, 2011 at 10:48am@ ANTI-SPOCK…………I agree with you. You have been very decent and have not ridiculed anyone as far as I can tell from reading your posts and I find you a very reasonable fellow. Being a Christian myself, I do think we need to be very careful about how we view others. The truth of the matter is no one has laid hold of Christ based upon their own intelligence or goodness. Jesus said no one can come to him unless the Father draws him and that no one seeks God or knows God, none are righteous. So to understand these ideas I must say I am not better than anyone at all. There but for the grace go I is the right spirit. Realizing that I used to be an atheist I have nothing but a soft heart for you and those who struggle or refuse to believe. Again, one thing I would caution you is to not judge Jesus and what he taught based on how well sinners present Him to you. That is what I used to do as well and it does not change the truth of which he spoke. I will pray for you friend and hope that your sarcasm will not stifle any true and sincere investigation.
There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all argument, and which cannot fail to keep man in everlasting ignorance. That principle is condemnation before investigation………..

The devil corrupts every organization especially those organizations that hold great power and impact in the way the world turns. People spend way too much time analyzing these organizations and pointing fingers. Example: America is a great country, but if you think for one second that we aren’t as corrupt as the Muslim extremist groups, you are wrong. WE hide behind words like Democracy and Freedom, Justice for all. The extremists are just very public about their true intentions. America and its allies are very careful and cover up every footprint and fingerprint left behind. I can say this because I am an OEF and OIF wounded Veteran. I have seen behind the curtain. But I have also seen and fought the evil that triumphs over the extremist groups. The point I’m trying to make is hold on to your family and friends. Live righteously and worry about the stuff you can control. In my opinion, no man except Jesus Christ can bring peace to this world. Find something righteous to hold on to.

Posted on March 29, 2011 at 11:49amWATCH.. Appreciate your comment, it is well grounded in your faith. If all men could be as rational as you the world would be a far better place.
As for being drawn by the Father to Jesus. I have serious trouble with that from the standpoint that Judas was drawn. But when you examine Judas, he was drawn for one purpose: Fulfillment of scripture. On the opposite extreme is Peter, slayer of Christians. Who was drawn. And doubting Thomas. Perhaps the greatest example is when God “hardened Pharaoh’s heart,” causing Pharaoh to act harsher than he normally would have. My point is neither of these men had control. They were drawn to fulfill God’s purpose. That defines predestination, itself designed to fulfill a particular outcome. So without drawing this out any longer… the end is written. The winners and losers are known. In advance. I know Christians love to think everything is free will. But if that were truly the case then the book of Revelations and every prophecy wouldn’t have been written.
So you have been drawn by the father. I’m happy for you. If I am ever drawn by the father it will be fighting the muslim extremists to the bitter end. And maybe, just maybe that is my predestined outcome.
And thanks for the prayer(s). This agnostic (I’m not atheist) appreciates them.

Posted on March 29, 2011 at 12:48pmAnti-SPock, peace and love to ya brother!
But you speak of Judas being drawn in to fulfill prophesy. You are partly correct. He was selected to do the job because Jesus knew he was greedy inside, but also loyal to the crown. So of his own free will he kissed Jesus and took the 30 pieces of silver! There are many stories like this in the Bible, a man’s free will will guide him to God or to Satan, it is just that simple. No one forced the man to point Jesus out, he did it on his own, but Jesus knew him better than he knew himself, and said Judas was going to do this beforehand. Come to Jesus Christ my friend, I can tell you have some misgivings about where you stand, BELIEVE IN JESUS and live forever in Heaven, otherwise, your eternity will be extremely hot and full of gnashing of teeth. I pray for you and love you brother.

Posted on March 29, 2011 at 3:18pmUNCLE CRUSTY… nice handle by the way. And nice to meet you here. Well Judas is a unique character. But Simon Peter was far worse… murdering Christians and all. Yet God persisted with Peter. I sometimes wonder what merits such intervention? Simon Peter obviously hated God to have murdered Christians. Yet God obviously loved him to have intervened. No justice for the slaughtered… only forgiveness. I suppose the message is no matter how atrocious one is, if God decides to harden (or soften) your heart well then so be it. My point is there isn’t a fair standard. What applies to Peter doesn’t apply to others, or vice versa.
I on the other hand believe man evolved by intelligent design. That we have a creator, but our creator created “Life.” And when you look at how diverse life is, how life evolves over millions of years, well religion stands at odds with science. Many Christians believe the earth is about 6000 years old give or take. Reality suggests otherwise… billions of years old… with a fossil record millions of years old. Man isn’t even a blip in geological time. I truly believe that as man evolved with a conscience, the natural outcome is to question how things came to be. It is called self awareness. And through this process religions came about by way of reasoning. Explaining why there are thousands of religions, most we have never heard of.
Most daunting of all in the religious period are the records that were translated into modern text. There are many books left out of the bible simply because they are viewed differently, and under King James were omitted. Yet all of them were written by man (the underlying claim being they were men guided by the holy spirit).
Christians (religions) have a serious conflict. On one hand they believe in a doomsday philosophy, America is predestined to go down the toilet. Yet on the other hand they want a better America. So which is it?

Posted on March 29, 2011 at 4:17pm@ ANTI SPOCK…………..I appreciate your candor and sharing your thought on my comment. It is true that understanding both God‘s sovereignty and Man’s responsibility has engaged many a theologian throughout the ages. I would simply say a couple of things from my perspective. God did say he hardened Pharaoh’s heart but he also said Pharaoh hardened his own heart. Is it possible that if you believe in the doctrine of original sin and total depravity as I do this could explain some of your questions? If we are corrupt in all our being (not meaning that we are as evil as we could be in degree, but rather that all our nature has been corrupted by sin, our intellect, emotions, will etc..) then our hearts are naturally at enmity with God and his law. Now then following this then if God did not intervene at all in the heart of a person they would simply continue on in their rebellion. However, if God did come to quicken the spirit and the person resisted the Holy Spirit (which is scriptural and possible according to the word) then is it not possible that God, who is all knowing, could still maintain both a sincere offer and use that person and their willful rejection to accomplish His sovereign will without violating His sovereignty or the persons free will? Thank you for your comments ahead of time.

Posted on March 29, 2011 at 4:37pm@ US SOLDIER….you are correct that from our vantage point good and evil are often many times based on one’s perspective and beliefs. If moral relativism is true then both sets of people can be right simultaneously and the one that dominates the other ultimately will prove to be the one with the “truth”. However, if there is an objective proof that rises above our perspective and is transcendent to men and their condition or beliefs then one is good and another would necessarily be evil. So is the scripture that says…………..”Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Say if you stand on a building and say you don’t believe in gravity. It really doesn’t matter if you do or not or if you understand it or not if walk off that building there are consequences for violating that physical law. In the same way God has established spiritual realities if you will and whether you acknowledge them or believe in them or not there are consequences for violating those spiritual realities. Did Muhammad die for anyone? Did he raise from the grave? Was his birth or life prophesied before he was ever born? What miracles signs did he perform to point to his authority to speak on behalf of God? Christianity and Islam are not the same in content, message, support, or authority.

Posted on March 29, 2011 at 11:18pmWATCH… I like your questions: “Now then following this then if God did not intervene at all in the heart of a person they would simply continue on in their rebellion. However, if God did come to quicken the spirit and the person resisted the Holy Spirit (which is scriptural and possible according to the word) then is it not possible that God, who is all knowing, could still maintain both a sincere offer and use that person and their willful rejection to accomplish His sovereign will without violating His sovereignty or the persons free will?”
The first part of your question establishes the playing field, per say, by suggesting that God either intervenes or does not intervene. It is also something that cannot be tested or measured, but nonetheless is a well established premise of salvation… that God performs intervention. So it would be as you suggest. The question then becomes All or None. Is it all hearts God intervenes in? Or is it no hearts? Or is it some yes, and some no (then how is that just or fair?) But if the belief is God approaches all our hearts, then you must account for all men, all tribes, all clans, all locations. But the bible doesn’t do that, rather it suggests diversity came through the Tower of Babel. At that instant… ethnicity was created. That doesn’t jive with what we have learned tracing Y chromosomes to a common ancestor in Africa (and essentially geneticists have linked the arrival of Native Americans 10,000 years ago from Asia – Middle East – Africa. Coinciding with a basic understanding it was an Ice Age that isolated a band of Africans in Europe for tens of thousands of years which lightened the skin due to steady low light conditions, isolating the gene pool which created unique characteristics we define today as european. Of course there are huge gaps in the genome record.. its like a puzzle.) But back to the root of your premise: If it is true God intervenes, then you must also consider hundreds, if not thousands of Native American generations that had no exposure to Biblical events. Unless one is willing to simply write them off as “heathens” as our forefathers did through manifest destiny.
This is where the bible becomes very interesting. It doesn’t explain events. It states them. Furthermore it threatens the reader with hell if the reader rejects the story. And I believe the last chapter of the Book of Revelation also threatens anyone who tinkers with the bible (by adding to or taking away from it) with eternity in the lake of fire. Seriously?
And before I reach my final point, the fact God would have a chosen people (God has really blessed Jewish people) means by de-facto all the rest are unchosen. So imagine a pyramid of people. The top stone are the Jewish people. Now I have nothing against Jews, I love them like my brother, and in fact would fight right along side them since their religion is more peaceful by design. But that fact that God plays favorites just doesn’t sit very well.
My final take is this. Life imitates art. I’ve said that before, but it really does apply here. Man has written a story. Well two actually (christian and islam) and we (meaning the majority) are using it as a script to our utter destruction. It’s a script I reject. But maybe this is what nature has in mind. The last mass extinction was the dinosaurs some 65 million years ago. So I guess it would stand to reason our time on earth is limited anyway. Might as well go out in a nuclear holocaust (hopefully the Inuits survive.)

Posted on March 31, 2011 at 6:57pm@WATCH Good point about gravity and violating Physical law, however your arguement is based on spiritual law. It‘s basis is only in a belief in something you’ve never seen with your own eyes. I don’t hate christians, jews or muslims. I actually think you people are interesting in that you can put so much belief in a story that was written and edited (Constantinople and the Catholic church) by man, yet claimed to be the word of a being that no one has ever seen and exists in some magical place. I found it absurd tho that christians and muslims have been fighting yet they share the same “characters” in their stories (just insert regional names, i.e. jesus/muhammed) their basic stroyline is the same with minimal deviation and descrepincies. Yet you still fight and kill eachother in the name of your God. How do you justify “thou shall not kill” and go slaughter muslims in the crusades and throughout our western history.
