You may have read our earlier post about this new study claiming that conservatism is evidence of a brain disorder. Liberal radio host Thom Hartmann find the study to be fascinating. And he’s adding a key theory of his own — that Ritalin may be turning children into conservatives:

Something like – you have to be zoned-out on drugs to be a Conservative? Most of the kids on Ritalin are just striving against a restrictive environment, where “kids” are expected to perform like an auto-drone.
They have far too many “responsibilities” to even be kids. They have to save our planet from “climate change”. They have to make sure that “diversity” is present in every aspect of their lives.
The very worst thing that ever happened to the USA, was the election of Barack Obama. He is a Fascist and Totalitarian. He believes that Big Government MUST control ALL details of all of our lives.

Really, No i didn‘t but I’ve seen it done, couldn’t believe it but saw it done by more than one for sure.

The government floods the student loan market with guaranteed loans. Students take out loans for ridiculous degrees that can’t produce anything in the real world (like therapeutic dance and Latino studies). Then, the government gives them more taxpayer money to do stupid research projects like this because their degrees have no value in the real world.
The extra scary part is that Obama tried to pass a law early in his presidency that would wipe out student loans for anyone who worked for the government. We would be a straight out communist dictatorship if Obama had his way. He’s a scary, scary president.

You see, Ritalin is a stimulant that helps people focus and take in more information and better understand that it than they otherwise could. Literally, people are more likely to find enlightenment. Their brains work faster on the drug and make connections they otherwise couldn’t.
However, you must ‘progress’ beyond conservatism to a more libertarian view. People need to be free to make their own choices in their bedrooms and about their bodies and about pretty much everything else – for better or worse. Whether or not you agree with those choices should not be legislated – you’re not the one risking an STD, and you’re not the one who will have to support the child. Most of you believe in some type of deity, so you must also believe that your deity will deal with those people accordingly.

That figure matches with the approximately 25% of those who self identify as liberal/progressive. I don’t personally know any conservatives that give their kids ritilan. When my son was in grade school (in CA) the principle told me that my son MUST go to a psycologist and that he needed to be on that crap. His problem………..he had too much energy. Have you ever been around a kid on that crap. There are lots of parents out there who need to understand that ritilan is the new gateway drug. I‘m betting that liberals who didn’t abort, solve their burden by drugging their kid.
