New: Meet the Memphis Muslims Kicked Off Delta Flight

WBTV-TV:

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Two Muslim men at the Memphis Airport say they were kicked off of a flight at that airport before it took off for Charlotte.

The pair talked to WBTV Friday and we learned that the TSA cleared them to fly. The two passengers went to gate, they got on an airplane, everything was OK.

But here’s where things change: the plane left the gate, before getting to the runway, the pilot said “we need to go back to gate.”

That’s where things started to change for Masudir Rahman, after being ordered off by a Delta Supervisor.

“He said ‘Mr. Rahman, sorry the pilot is not allowing you to enter the plane.’  I said ‘For what reason, TSA had a problem and we were cleared, we don‘t have anything and we are respected people in our community’.”

But, according to Rahman, the pilot said, “I’m not going to take to you.”

Keep reading here.

Is this what they were wearing on the plane? Not what I imagined when making comments on the earlier story. Sorry for commenting without the visual. I’d like to hear what the pilot has to say.

The individuals who took over the plane and flew them into buildings in 2001 were in WESTERN DRESS, FITTING IN, LOOKING INNOCENT. Being “afraid” for how some one is dressed, their color, or their ethnicity is going overboard! I’m sure these gentlemen were well screened BEFORE they were allowed ON the plane! Being afraid is no future. Have faith, keep your eyes open and act when and if necessary, but don’t jump to conclusions–it is an act of the weak!

They cut off the rest of my post.

To the US Congress these two future Presidents later reported the reasons for the Muslims’ hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.
“…that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Muslim who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.”
    Sound familiar?

I have no way of knowing but…, this whole thing seems orchestrated.
The idea that Ibrahim Hooper of CAIR was upon scene faster than you can say “ISLAMOPHOBIA” makes it seem bogus.

This reminds me of the “Flying Imams”. The six who sued the airlines and won…,having been represented by CAIR. And yet these six Imams DID act suspiciously and caused a lot of fear among the other passengers.

This appears to be part of the “Cultural Jihad”. It is a tactic to deliberately take advantage of our freedom, our laws, to destroy us from within.

Briggitte Gabriel wrote “They Must Be Stopped”. It is a good book to read to understand the “Civilization- Jihadist”.

We have been fighting islam since our founders……..to think it is different now would ignorant.

America has been fighting Islamists for longer than many realize or care to explore. Even before independence was declared as I stated above in the conveniently forgotten history in the writers attempt to rewrite history, American ships were pirated and their Christian crews enslaved by Muslim pirates operating under the control of the “Dey of Algiers”—an Ottoman Islamist warlord ruling Algeria. When the colonists rebelled against British rule in 1776, American ships lost Royal Navy protection. A Revolutionary-War era alliance with France offered French protection to US ships, but it expired in 1783. Immediately US ships came under attack and in October 1784 the American trader “Betsey” was taken by Moroccan forces. This was followed with Algerians and Libyans (Tripolitans) capturing two more US ships in 1785. Lacking the ability to project US naval force in the Mediterranean, America tried appeasement. In 1784, Congress agreed to fund tributes and ransoms in order to rescue US ships and buy the freedom of enslaved US sailors.

In 1786 Thomas Jefferson, then US ambassador to France, and John Adams, then US Ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the Dey’s ambassador to Britain, in an attempt to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress’ vote of funding. To the US Congress these two future Presidents later reported the reasons

We will see…. As for the Islama-Phobia issue? When muslims speak out against terrorists and not support, Lie, aid or hide as in Osama being assisted by Pakistan…That will help with your Islama-Phobia issues… Please do not envoke the Rosa Parks analogy again or at least get it right!!! Were they scanned and patted down? Are they citizens? If not, they DON’T have any civil rights. I really do understand the pilot and the passengers concern. There has to be a lot of caution taken when you are at war. Sometimes that caution is misplaced, but sometimes it is not. I hope that a political correctness decision doesn’t come out of this investigation — just the truth and the right decision. I want to know the real truth about this, not some fabrication that only confuses and misleads.

You know what? We live in a free society. That means, the pilot has choice. IF you can find a pilot to fly you, you are free to fly with him. This“ federal law for every private interaction” is the fallacy we have lived under for far too long. We are a nation of free and sovereign individuals, not communist serfs where BO the supreme overlord tells us what we can and can’t do.

I’ve yet to hear any reason for why the pilot kicked them off. Muslims in traditional garb have never acted as suicide bombers. They try to blend in.

I can think of three possible scenarios:
    1. These Muslims DID something thta made them suspicious that hasn’t been reported yet. (Agenda by the media maybe?)
    2. This pilot is a bigoted hysterical idiot.
    3. This is a set up, possibly involving a complicit pilot. Perhaps he is a liberal trying to “make a point” about Islamaphobia and played the role of the “bigoted American”.

Whatever the case, more investigation and reporting is required.

Let me clue you in. The Pilot, otherwise known as the Pilot in Command has the duty and right to secure the safety of his aircraft. He is the ultimate authority on that plane. He can disregard air traffic controllers directions, he can decide not to take off for any reason.

Having said that, we are at war. When the enemy isn’t clearly defined, we have an absolute right to be suspicious of people that are acting like they may cause ourselves or others with whom we have a duty to keep safe, harm. If you don’t think people speaking German during WWII while in America were stopped and questioned, maybe you better read some history.

These two wanted to sensationalize their presence. They wanted to make sure that the average American saw them as a threat. Why else wear those get-ups?

The worst thing we can do is portray ourselves as blind haters of Muslims because “they’re all alike”. No one will then listen to our argument that many so-called Moderate Muslims are not so moderate and that we should look more closely at them. If we show that we don’t bother looking closely before we kick them off a plane then our argument about examining the truth about Moderate Muslims will be portrayed as so much BS. No one will listen until there is another attack.

@ Isles and Looking … The pilot did exactly what he is expected to do as the person completely in charge of his aircraft – he said “no” to someone boarding – for whatever reason. He even has the right to refuse armed law enforcement to fly on his aircraft, so get over yourselves. Quit making excuses for these :people” (there, I avoided calling them Pigs – almost). Their loyalty is not to the U.S., it’s to a murderous cult that has ravaged every country that has ever tolerated their presence, and murdered to take control. If you disagree with them or insult them, their cult proclaims that you should be killed. That means that every single one of these “people” (again, please note that I avoided calling the Pigs) who goes out an protests our offending them is proclaiming their desire to kill you over their percievd offense.

To tell me that I am wrong in this is to announce your stupidity and ignorance of true islam. To a muslim, the only “redical” muslim is who we call a “moderate” muslim. They are looked at by adherants of islam like a how a Bible-believing Christian looks at one who denies Hell or the Resurrection – to denie either or both is to deny the entirety of the Bible. To a true muslim, to deny MoHAMmad’s (Pigs be in his name) decree to kill, enslave or subjugate the infidel is to deny the entire quran.

I was simply adding a possibility that the Pilot might have some ““Anxiety”” about Muslims in there gaffe ( spelling ) much like “Juan Williams” stated he has

I’m stuck on this …. yes i can see why some have gotten the opinion that i was putting down the Pilot
i said “”( 4 ) .. the Pilot is going to put in a Workmen Comp. claim, his Disability will be Anxiety”"

That’s because “Workmen Comp.” has a STIGMA attached to it

      STIGMA =–noun, plural stig·ma·ta
      1.
a mark of disgrace or infamy; a stain or reproach, as on one’s reputation.

ya know , like people getting stuff for nothing is not what i meant. this may be real !!!

I’m sure the Pilot will be checked out, I mean who wants a Pilot (Flying at 30.000 feet with 300 people on board ) with high Anxiety. i mean there is a difference between be cautious and alert.
but you have to make Rational Decisions and High Anxiety takes that away
( omg.. is the plane going to blowup. will I die. what about my wife and kids ect.ect.ect.
your heart rate goes up, your mind wonders, and you may make irrational decisions.

I never said the pilot was wrong, and I’m not a “muslim apologist”… actually i think they are rather spooky, I’ve only seen them on TV and on the net. ( i live in the sticks in a town of about 500 )
and if i ever go to the city and see um well i bet my heart rate will go up.

you see .the Plots problem might be R.E.A.L. but i can understand the Stigma behind my post.

The pilot should be fired. This is racism.Nothing wrong with having them go through extra security checks but once they’ve been cleared then to not let them on is racism. The dept of Justice should intervene. If americans want to ban Muslims from flying then let them legislate for that.If we no longer believe in due process or justice for all or equal rights for all and want to ban a religious group from living as freely as the rest of us,then we are nazi’s and anyone is justified in oppossing us.Pakistan would be right to make a museum of Osama’s house and let that be a mecca for people who oppose the 21st century nazi americans.Osama would be seen as a fighter for independence from American control of those countries.Good for Pakistan that they hid him all these years and played a double game showing that for all our power in other countries, people can and do resist our dictatorial demands in whatever way they can.Their loyalty to Osama shows they believe his cause was just [to free people from our domination in those countries-propping up dictatoships, military bases for oil, etc,]and they remain free from our tyanical demands.

Have you ever looked for Muslims that condemn extremism?? I doubt it. Glenn Beck actually hosted the leader of a Muslim group doing just that a while ago. There are plenty of Muslims that condemn it, but you just keep a blind eye to it so you can just keep spewing bigoted BS.

It is the same one discussed on national news (FOX included), where the Christian church across the street alllowed the members to worhip in their building while their mosque was being built. The new mosque has no sign or other distinguishing features. I wonder if these imans are from this mosque?

Just think if they thought he was cleaned by a woman, they would be in fits..

Bravo for the pilot. Juan Williams? Give me a break.
More of this type of action would make flying in the US safer and the airlines that practice this would see a surge in business. TSA could move to other gates and let the pilots determine passenger safety. After all, the pilot has skin in the game and the TSA does not . . . well “skin in the game” can mean several things to the TSA. No Muslim can tolerate our Constitution if they are a true Muslim. Sure, there are “good” Muslims, but what does “good” mean? Go figure. When it comes down to action, I believe all “good” Muslims will be good Muslims.

“…dressed in Arab garb, including traditional headgear.”

My father was a pilot. In the days when you could go to the gates and meets flight, I met my fathers flight as it came into LA to El Paso, we had a bite to eat,( the cafe in the airport had the best burritos in town), then my dad said his good byes and got back on plane. A few minutes had passed and I could hear my dads, voice [I liked to stay and watch that big 707 take off, shes a beauty] as he was walking with a guy, the guy was drunk and screaming at my dad “you cant kick me off, I paid for my ticket”, my Dad, a cool guy indeed, handed him his glass, and said “Yes, I can, and you can walk down that hall and get a new ticket, and when you are sober you can fly home.” He turned and walked away.

I guess my Dad was prejudiced against drunks. Pilot do have the right to allow or not to let you on his flight for any reason. Right now the first line of ‘if” you are allowed to fly is TSA, the last line is the Pilot.

What a breath of fresh air! That’s called courage! Now they’ll threaten and cower the pilot into apologizing. If they fire him, we should create a fund and/or protest! Maybe those Muslims should be more concerned about being apologists for terrorists and everything which is against the American way instead of worrying about discrimination so much. If not, maybe they should go back to the *hit holes in the Middle East they came from. If some of them would stand up against terrorism, violence against women, sharia law and all of the things in the Koran which advocate death to infidels (you know, US!) for a change maybe some of us would stand up for them!
