New Obama Ad: Conservative Women Should Vote Democrat Because Republicans Want to Ban Abortion & Contraception

The Obama reelection campaign on Friday released an ad featuring “Republican” women who’ve decided to vote Democrat because, unlike former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, the president won’t take away their contraception or deny them the “right” to an abortion.

“If you’re a conservative woman, and you believe in small government, then Barack Obama is your candidate because he’s keeping the government out of the decisions that should remain between you and God, and you and your own conscience,“ says one of the many ”Republican“ women featured in the ad titled ”Republican Women for Obama.”

“If you truly believe in a small government. That government shouldn’t be deciding what I can and cannot do with my own body,” says another.

“There is no way on God’s green earth that I would consider voting Republican,” yet another adds.

“I don’t even want to think about them having control — as a woman I don’t,” another woman says.

The ad’s message is clear: “Real” conservative women should vote for Barack Obama because he stands for limited government, the “right” to an abortion, and subsidized contraception.

UPDATE: Well, that’s odd. In a video about Republican women who just can’t bare to vote Republican anymore, one of the actresses is a registered Democrat.

“People like me and my family have realized that the Republican Party once was inline with our views, but are no longer,” Ciano says in the video.

“The women in the video aren’t named, but she is Delia Ciano — none other than Maria Ciano’s mother. Her Facebook page … is revealing. She put up a link to the Obama video and writes, ‘Maria and I are part of this video. I hope you watch,’” Hindraker reports.

“Just saw you on TRMS [The Rachel Maddow Show]!” one of Ciano’s Facebook followers gushes.

“TRMS is my favorite show! Amazing!” Ciano — a “Republican” woman — responds.

And that’s nothing: Delia Ciano’s Facebook page is practically overflowing with anti-Republican propaganda. Whether it’s attacking Republicans for supporting illegal voter purges, defending the president’s “You Didn’t Build That” speech, or attacking the GOP for being pro-life [She does know every Republican presidential nominee since Reagan has supported overturning Roe v. Wade, right? When did she say she stopped being a "Republican"?], it’s pretty clear Delia Ciano is not — and may never have been — a registered Republican. Which, of course, makes you wonder why she chose to identify herself as one in an ad titled “Republican Women for Obama.”

“Ms. Ciano’s Facebook page also reveals that she was part of a small group that met with Michelle Obama when Mrs. Obama was in Colorado on August 11, presumably indicating that she has some stature in the Obama campaign,” Hindraker reports. “So obviously, neither Maria Ciano nor her mother Delia is a ‘Republican woman’ who is crossing over or changing her mind to vote for Obama.”

      I am older than the the majority of the women in this ad, and can honestly say that the Republican Party of today is the most wussified, dang near left leaning bunch of RINOs that I have ever seen in my life. These women were never Republicans and are just paid shills for this 0bama baby killer ad, or maybe they may have at one time registered Republican after giving no more thought than their family or spouse was a Republican and they just went along with it.       The Dems do this ad campaign every election year. First they said Ford and Reagan would ban abortion, but they didn’t. Then, it was George Bush Sr, he would surely get abortion banned because Reagan was unable to, but he didn’t. And George W Bush, we were told repeatedly that he would ban abortion, it was Cameron Diaz in 2004 who said if you wanted abortion to be legal, don’t vote for Bush. What a surprise, Bush didn’t ban abortion either, nor did any of these guys attempt to ban abortion. Most if not all of these guys fundamentally did not agree with abortion, but they understood it was a woman’s right. And I think Mitt Romney understands that also.

      I am conservative but I support the right of a woman to have an abortion. For one thing, it helps liberals voluntarily keep their numbers in check.

      I had an abortion (it was illegal back then) many years ago and IT IS TRUE THAT YOU REGRET IT THE REST OF YOUR LIFE if you have ANY kind of decency or truth in you.

      I will regret that abortion for as long as I live, even tho I have been on my knees before God and Jesus and asked their forgiveness since then. And I, have been against abortion ever since, because the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Truth revealed that abortion IS WRONG and contrary to the Word of God.

      Even before a woman goes to get an abortion, she will be in anguish as to whether it is right or wrong. A TRUE DECENT person will KNOW that it is wrong and will NOT have one. A person who tries to drown out that still small voice telling her it is wrong and against the Father, will go ahead and have it, then it will destroy her life over it UNTIL she accepts the truth that IT IS/WAS WRONG.

      Those who ignore that small still voice will stand before God some day and find out what they already knew and ignored. Thank God Almighty that I fell to my knees when I did. I came to Christ because of my guilt in having that abortion.

      I hope those women out there who are not followers of Christ yet, and who did have an abortion, even if it was long ago, ask God’s forgiveness for it. THEN, and only then will they KNOW the truth and the TRUTH WILL SET THEM FREE AS IT DID ME.

      YOU MUST ASK CHRIST’S FORGIVENESS BEFORE YOU WILL EVER BE FREE OF THE GUILT.

      What separates us from animals and other things is FREE WILL and a soul. If they take away abortion, what will happen? I don’t really know and neither do you.       I, too, reacted to the testimonial that it is between a woman and God and her conscience. Sure, her conscience can tell her to choose to abort, and she should do the act herself, and Will Have God Judge her for her choice and actions. THAT would make her testimonial true. BUT, that is not what “abortion” is about. It is about having the Government doing the judging (playing God) in sanctioning “a woman’s right to choose”. And then it is about allaying the guilt (conscience) of the woman by providing her with permission. AND THEN EVEN PHYSICALLY PROVIDE ANOTHER PERSON to do the act, so that no actual blood will get on her hands.

    It is time for real women to begin to share the values of those that do not want to kill their babies. Is the only values for women safe sex and abortion. Isn‘t it time that women that don’t have sex 10 times a day like Sandra Fluke does speak up? Why are women letting Bill Clinton’s party define what a war on women is? I have had enough of this. If women a merely defined by how much sex they have or how they murder to fix a mistake then why not go to Sharia law? That way at least the numbers for that camp will increase when you add goats, cattle and camels.
    Please women of the USA (and those that came across the border illegally with me) can we not tell the liberals what issues really matter to us?

      Yes, I love the way you think too. I‘m a conservative woman and haven’t talked very nice about those women on the video, but I was so angry when I first read it I couldn’t control myself and wanted to lash out.
      Guess they reminded me of my mother in law. A really nice woman in some respects, but she was a died in the wool liberal and we got cross ways a few times. I could hardly believe she thought the way she did, until it was too late and I had married into the family. I always chalked it up to being a simple, country type woman who wasn’t very well educated and not that smart.
      Thank Goodness, her son, my husband, became a Republican and we got along very well.

    Okay I have issues with how this is being portrayed by both the Democrats and the media…First of all I believe (and I’m sure a lot if not most conservatives/republicans will agree) that if a woman wants an abortion then that is a decision that she has to make herself. Granted she will have to answer to why she had it to God and even that child at some point. What I don’t believe in is the government taking my tax dollars and paying for some woman to have an abortion. If a lady wants to take the responsibility to have sex and she gets pregnant then she should have the responsibility of paying for her own abortion if she choosed to have one…..do not take my money to pay for it.

      This is going to sound silly, but Obama doesn’t love us. It hit me one day that it is his utter disdain for us, the American public that should have been our first clue. I remember feeling a genuine warmth from Ronald Reagan. He had a gentle love of the American people, who looked to him as their leader, glad they were Americans. Most presidents in the past, good and bad alike, seemed to care deeply about the American people. We inspired them. And they loved us back.

      But your post nails it. Obama is at war with his people. We are the enemy. He hates us. He divides people and sets them against each other. Racial and religious tensions are at their highest level in modern days. He uses power for force, coercion, in anger, and enforced “change”. “This is for our own good”.

      He has declared war on most of us through his policies and words: the faithful, the unborn, our values, our history, our hope and our generous nature- which welcomed him in with open arms. I didn’t vote for him, but cried during the inaugural celebration, believing that maybe, at last all lingering racial tensions would melt away. We soon learned that healing was not on the agenda.

      The God-fearing among us get the feeling that he would wrestle our faith from us if he could. We have had to re-learn a basic truth in a few short years: a good leader loves his people. That is his motivation to serve. And people follow a good leader.

      When will the lying end? When God comes again to judge humanity. I saw a car in my neighborhood today with three bumper stickers on it. The first said; “I’m for the separation of church and hate.” The second said, “Be a voice for choice.“ The third was an ”Obama ‘12″ sign. This is a sign of the intelligence of those on the left. If I am a believer in God, I cannot hate….well, anything or anyone even if what they say or do goes against God’s word and character. I must stand up with them and promote their “choice” and honor it. I must also, if this philosophy is to be respected and established as that which is right and good, vote for Obama. Then the world will live in peace and unity, correct? Will God accept into heaven those who despise his word through their thoughts and actions? No! God WILL SEPARATE the church from those who hate by choosing to destroy his creative expressions of love through those infants and they will discover the true meaning and consequence of their “choice.” That is when the truth will come out for those who refuse to believe in Jesus Christ. That is when the lying will end. I pray for them that they will see the truth before it is too late and repent. Obama in 2012? No way! I do have a choice and I will be a voice for the truth… In, With and For God!
