New Poll: Opposition for Individual Mandate Hits 60%

A new CNN/Opinion Research poll shows that support for President Obama’s individual insurance mandate has declined by six points in the last four months, and opposition has swelled to 60 percent.

According to the poll, only 38 percent of those polled support the mandate. In August, that number was 44 percent. And as support dwindles, opposition increases. In August, 56 percent opposed the measure, a number that how now grown to 60 percent.* The new numbers are all-time lows and highs respectively.

The new numbers come on the heels of a federal judge in Virginia ruling that the individual mandate is unconstitutional.

      Obamao will NOT sign off on a repeal.

      Our only option until we can elect a different president it to simply DEFUND the entire bill.

      Actually, the new House of Representatives should DEFUND every bit of legislation passed in the last two years until we can go through it all and make significant reforms to it or get a new president and totally repeal it all.

      I still want to know where all the money went in all the TARP, STIMULUS, OMNIBUS and ALL OTHER BILLS PASSED BY THE 111TH Criminal Congress.

    In the Word God tells us many things, answers a multitude of questions and teaches through parables how to become like Him. He is lavish with His teachings and loves those who read and know His word and use it to become better people. This coupled with the fact that one believes that Christ died for our sins and accepts His gift of salvation is the whole message of the Gospel. He tells us all we need to know how to live holy and Christ centered lives. There is only one thing of importance that God has chosen not to reveal to His children. That is the day and time of His returning. There are many who will say that this is not true, but they are often quite void of the truth of the Bible or are interpreting things in the Bible through the lens of their depravity, trying to justify their own sin. However, I believe that God has told us the name of the Antichrist.

    In Luke 10:18 it says:

    “I beheld Satan as lighting falling from the heavens.”

    Herein we have a description of Satan as being that which is falling from Heaven. This vision of Satan is also seen in the verses of Isaiah. (KJV Isaiah 14:12-19) It is these verses from which we have drawn most of what we know about and the antichrist. This shows the past of what Satan has done to offend God, as well as, what will happen to him in the future. It also predicts his rise as the world nears an end. Of course, we know that God has defeated Satan before and will do so for eternity at the last battle of time. Hallelujah!!! However, in discussing the topic of whether God has told us the name of the Antichrist I wish to focus on the exact words that Christ would have used, while on this earth, to describe the antichrist.

    Christ chose to speak to His disciples and others in the ancient form of Hebrew known as Aramaic. Although during His time on earth the Roman Empire ruled over the Middle East, Christ still chose to speak in this form. I feel that he did this so that what He said would not change over time. As we have seen in our own language the meaning of words change quite dramatically. One only need to refer to an 1890’s dictionary to determine that a “gay” man is not the same as it is in 2010. By speaking from a dead language this does not become an issue.

    Looking at Isaiah 14:12-14 we see that the Word states specifically who is being spoken of.
    12How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou
    cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

    It is obvious that He speaks of Lucifer the fallen angel who challenged God’s authority and went to battle with God and His angels. He was soundly defeated after which he was cast from Heaven to remain on the earth. Satan then said with ultimate pride in the very next verse:
    14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
    In Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary the Hebrew primitive root for to lighten (lightning):–cast forth is “baraq” (pronounced baw-rak’ (#1299). To further illiterate the term Strong used word #1300 – “baraq baw-rawk’ which means from 1299; lightning; by analogy, a gleam; concretely, a flashing sword:–bright, glitter(-ing sword), lightning. see SH1299” He further shows in word #1301 that this can also refer to the name of a person. (Baraq – baw-rawk’ the same as 1300; Barak, an Israelite:–Barak.).

    Strongs shows that word #1116 is an “unused root (meaning to be high); an
    elevation:–height, high place, wave” and is pronounced “bam-maw’.” It is tradition in the Hebrew language that when associating two words with each other, the “O” or the “U” is used between the words. Satan is the same word in Hebrew.

    So I believe that when Christ said in Luke “I beheld Satan as lighting falling from the heavens” he told who the antichrist is “I beheld Satan as Baraq O bamaw.”

    The only way to stop it right away is to NOT FUND IT. In that VEIN… DEFUND THE TSARS, EPA, FCC, IRS, and the rest of the Beaurocrats that try to control us. Do away with the TAX CODE and Have a FLAT TAX ONLY. TSA AS WELL!!!

      Tsar is another way to spell Czar, and is accepted as such by most academic sources, usually, but not exclusively, as a label for Russian emperors. Czar itself of course being a mangled derivative of the name “Caesar”, which implies dictatorial and absolute powers.

    Opposition to “the Surge” in Iraq was well over 60% of the American public but that didnt stop Bush and it seemed to work out and the opposition didnt stop him.HWere was the outrage from the right that he went againt the wishes of the America people? Opposition of inter recial marrige was around 80% but that seemed to work out fine as well. You guys only seem to be ok wiht polls when they go your way , but when they show something opposite of your views there is no mention of them.

    I find it so funny that the government run healthcare actually forces poor people to BUY SOMETHING EXPENSIVE. This healthcare raw deal will not lower costs and there will be millions of poor that CANNOT buy insurance nor pay the fines.       Yes, and those of us who refuse to pay fines will be sent to federal prison. This is a federalization of the citizens. We will have lost all our rights. Krauthammer, on Fox just now, said that defunding might create a major break by figuring holes in the cloth and could make it seem like Repubs don’t have a clue. The repubs who are really dems will embrace the former to say, “I told you so!” when 2012 comes along. It would be in our best interest to make BOBO the POTUS of “NO!” using his veto showing his real agenda. We need to brutalize the HealthCare debacle by rooting out its most heinous regulations and the czars and czarinas in charge. We also need steady investigations into the czars and the fact that they were ordered unconstitutionally by circumventing the Congress. Repeal the 17th Amendment now!
      And, further more, start drilling now!!!!

      It would be nice to kill the law. The problem is that even without BOBO as the titular head, the process of theHCBill is already going on. There are people who have the money to pay for their medical expenses but are denied because they have medical insurance. It’s already taking place. It doesn’t matter if you can pay your way…if you are a regular citizen who has medical insurance, it is against the law for you to pay with cash. There’s more: This BOBOCare is thorough. If you read it…and if any of it makes sense to you, you will find that in order to have a baby, you must put in a request. You then will be visited by someone from the government who’ll determine if you and your spouse are committed, have a nice place for a baby to be brought up, etc. If you’re allowed to have a baby, and you do, then you will be visited again to determine if you are a fit parent. There’s just soooooooooooooooo much more. Ask Mr. LaHooda about his dream of connecting “living centers” with light-rails. That, of course, is right on track with the implementation of “Power Centers” where your power usage is predetermined and you will not be allowed to go over your amount. And there’s the little clause about your needing to live within walking distance of your place of work. There is the eventuality of decamping those with too much room (read house) and those who need more. The ‘death panels’ are real. I don’t care what anyone else says. They are clearly written into the law. There is also the fact that BOBO is agreeable to having a child aborted in the second year after birth due to DNA samples that show a possible defect. There is also reason to be concerned about anyone who can no longer work for the government. There is no retirement for the people. You need to read the thing because it is the worm in the apple.

      The only way to repeal is 2/3 majority or a president that will sign the repealing documents. It must be defunded first, until we can get the numbers or people in place.

      If there are enough victories in court, like the one my state of Virginia achieved, we may not need to repeal it, although I would love to see that happen. If we can simply tear it apart, bit by bit, it will have no teeth. Defunding it is definitely a good option too.

      It’s never been funded. They don’t have to defund anything. As long as they don’t appropriate funds for it going forward then it has zero funding.

      Besides it’s not going to stand up to legal scrutiny anyhow. It’s clearly unconstitutional and it would be seen as nothing but pure judicial activism if they upheld obamacare as constitutional.

      Obamacare cannot survive, not even a sliver of the plan can survive. I think he has an idea it won’t make it that is why he slipped in the elderly care, or end of life, clause into medicare.

      This needs to be repealed, defunded and turned over in the courts; of course just as with the blasted net neutrality soon to take effect the administration will find some way to sneak it in via the back door. I have listened to a sychophant of Obama lecture on the local news today that the ‘death pannel’ legislation actually “dates back to the Bush admin of 2003.”

      They also say not to blame Obama for this ‘fiasco.’

      Just love how they still insist Bush is responsible for all the evils of the world.

      defund it and everything else except the essentials.many of us had to defund our nights out, our new car, our vacation, our kids college fund, etc…. we all must start living within our means and hopefully increase our means by growing the economy. tax code simplification should be next. fair tax or flat tax.

      Repeal and/or fuding will never happen. Politicians have no courage..Obama will veto anything contrary to his agenda. If Congress gets in the way he will act unlaterally via executive order..whatever. Congress is already IRRELEVANT. Can you say FCC and EPA imposed regulations. The courts said no. Obama still had his way using the FCC. WAKE UP PEOPLE……This administration will push through whatever they want as long as they want whenever they want. The will of the people, the laws of our courts and the constitution be damned. They are not afraid of the people, of an election or the courts (they own the judges).       Good news is, the bill is zippo without the funding that the VA suit just proved was unconstitutional. There;’s your defund right there.

      Once that’s weeded through SCotUS, the rest will be easy. My only wish is that it happen before Obama comes up for re-election. I’d love to see an “unconstitutional” stamp in big red letters across this forehead in the 2012 GOP general election fliers.

      CURATOR—- We will never regain control of the Gov’t until the 17th Amendment is repealed and the Senate once again represents states rights and is the states voice. The same people who elect the House are the very same people who elect the Senate. They are in effect one and the same. The same minority(That is a majority) of left wing radicals, independents and welfare riders are the same ones that vote for the progressive agenda to Socalize this country. Until the lazy stupid American wakes up and votes they will continue to march to total Socalism. Why is it that 70% of the legal voters in this country will not take the time to vote?       If I had the power, I would have the Commerce Clause removed from the Constitution to eliminate any future possibility of laws like these. A significant amount of laws we find unconstitutional stem from the Commerce Clause.

      America NEEDS to repeal ALL THE WAY BACK to the early 1900′s and start by wiping away the mess of SOCIAL-ISM SECURITY (an oxy-moron) with a LIBERTY MOP!

      You know we’re all playing right into their hands. If the rules requiring insurance companies to cover people regardless of preexisting conditions stay intact, but the mandate for everyone to buy insurance is struck down, no health insurance company will be able to remain in business. People will not buy health insurance until they get sick. Why would you? If the insurance company has to cover you regardless of preexisting condition, then we can all just buy a cheap policy for prescriptions until we get really sick, then we can buy a Cadillac policy that pays for everything 100% until we are healthy again. This will bankrupt the insurance companies, and the Government will “have” to step in to solve the problem by providing universal health insurance for all.
