New Pro-Jewish NYC Campaign: ‘President Obama Is Not Pro-Israel’

Emergency Committee for Israel Launches Pro Israel, Anti Obama CampaignA new New York City-based, GOP-sponsored, pro-Israel campaign takes aim at President Barack Obama and his stances on the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict.

In an effort to convince voters that Obama’s stance on Jerusalem — and on Israel as a whole — isn’t palatable to either political party, the Emergency Committee for Israel (run by famed conservative Bill Kristol) is communicating its message through video and newspaper ads, among other venues.

While NYC is certainly a more progressive locality, there may be some breathing room for the group’s conservative views to take hold. Considering that the city is home to the largest number of Jews in America, there is an audience that may be willing to listen. Politico’s Ben Smith writes:

The fact that both candidates in Anthony Weiner’s old Democratic-leaning district have criticized Obama on Israel offers the Emergency Committee for Israel [EIC] some fodder.

In a video that is part of the larger New York-focused campaign being launched by the EIC, both liberals and conservatives are seen discussing their opposition to the president’s treatment of Israel. Watch the video for yourself, below:

Smith says that newspaper ads have already emerged. In the Hamptons, one ad shows Obama shaking hands with elated Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. Television ads and billboards may also be on the way in New York City. The campaign’s tag line? President Obama’s a “uniter, not a divider — except of Jerusalem.”

This video, like others posted on the organization’s YouTube site, attempts to convince citizens that the president‘s take on the Middle East isn’t necessary friendly to the Israelis. On its “about us” page, the EIC writes:

…the current administration in Washington seems determined to extract ever more concessions from Israel, and to respond to each setback in the peace process by placing more pressure on the Israeli government. This policy of making one-sided demands on Israel has failed to produce progress and has only emboldened Israel’s enemies.

      Don’t forget, Jews were around and in those lands long before the so called religion of peace ever existed. Even the Christian religion is older. Look at history, when have the Jews as a people ever tried to conquer the world. Or to take over another nation. They are defending themselves!!!       @Blowback — get your head out of your hind-end! Study some history. Israel has been consistently attacked or threatened w/attack since its rebirth. It was attacked by 4 Arab armies — not the other way around. It gets school buses attacked first, which nets the attacker a nasty response.

      Israel responds to attacks launched against its civilians.

      We did the same when jihadis attacked us. Afghanistan was a response to a direct attack on our civilians.

    I have a question for everyone out there, we know already Mr Obama has thrown Israel under the bus completely. Yet with his alliance with radical Islamist Extremists, does anyone wonder if there willl be a series of ‘terrorist incidents’ on or near the elections of 2012 that will enable him to conveinently postpone the elections for the duration of an emergency?

      Snow, I have thought the same thing since Obama became president. Frankly, I’m surprised there were midterm elections last year. My only guess is that they really didn’t expect the extreme upheavel that came with the conservative resurgence.     Obama best stop worrying about getting votes and get right with God. The Lord made it very clear to those against Israel ‘I WILL curse those who curse you” Genesis 12:3 Unfortunately all these bad things in the weather, economy, etc. are a chastisement by God for voting in this man. God is not judging America yet. He is just removing part of His umbrella of protection because the leader of our land refuses to follow the Lord. Look at the Bible . When the leaders were Godly good things happened for the people and when bad kings ruled things went bad for the people. we won’t see significant good things until O repents and gets right with God or a new Godly President is elected.

    Liberal Jews are liberals first. It’s almost as if conservative gentiles love the land of Israel more than the many Jews do. What a shame. The gentiles are praying for the peace of Jerusalem while liberal Jews are working towards it’s destruction.

    Obama is against Israel. He wanted them to go back to the 1967 borders and is this just rumor or is it true the white house removed Jerusalem from it’s computers?

      Obama has said the 1967 borders should be the basis for a settlement, with “mutually agreed upon swaps.” In this he agrees pretty much with Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Clinton and both Bushes.

      How do you remove an entire city from your computers?

      Obama has made it clear to Israel’s enemies that he supports their desire to take half of Jerusalem. Everyone knows who he supports. The Obama administration no longer refers to Jerusalem as part of Israel. Can’t get a passport that says Jerusalem Israel if you were born there.

    Great idea.
    While most of the liberal Jews in NYC are lost cases and without any values or common sense, the Conservative Jewish population gets what obama is all about.
    This campaign might just wake up some of the liberals who are not lib drones. Then, conservatives in nyc might only be outnumbered three to one.

      Yes, my thoughts too. I’m not Jewish but have a few outreaches/ministries I support and get reports…there seems to be a transition taking place with them here and in Israel….more and more are waking up to “truths”….blinders being taken off. So this may very well be the beginning of a movement like the Tea Party among the Jews – hope and pray so. Already been a few past high paying donars to Obama/Dems that have changed and are not this time around.

      I keep hearing that Eliott spitzer could be the next mayor of ny.
      I didn’t think anybody could be worse than gloomberg but if he gets in, I’d probably take the plunge and pick up deposit bottles as a living if I had to.

      Of course the tea party doesn’t exclude them. I’ve been to Tea Party rallies and have noted many people of differring ethnicities. In a society like what the Tea Party promotes, skin color and race mean about as much as a person’s eye color. The conservative jews may want to create something like the Tea Party, but more centered on Jewish doctrine specifically. I myself am not a jew, but i would support any jew to join the tea party or a Jewish analog i mentioned previously.

    Bill Kristol, the same man who said he didn‘t really care how many Americans died carrying out Israel’s desire to remove Saddam Hussein from power, per the Richard Perle study for Israel titled, ‘A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm.’ This study, written in 1996 by those who later were in the Bush administration when we irrationally went to war with Iraq, even mentioned the premise of using WMD’s as the reason. Look at the authors and then look where they were in the Bush administration. All Jews of course. And all written by Jews, not me.

I for one waited for years for someone to have the ***** to do something about Saddam Hussein. Maybe you were not bothered by the fact that he paid terrorists $25,000 to blow up innocent Israelis walking the streets of their own cities. I would have bombed the hell out of him much sooner. No boots on the ground neccesary. You seem to have no problem overlooking real evil, only to make up evil plots in your mind that you are sure the Jews are carrying out. Sickening.
