New Radar Can Detect…Suicide Bombers?

New Radar Can Detect...Suicide Bombers?

Billed as a “must have” life-saving piece of gear for all military men and women, a new radar system promises to detect suicide bombers from 100 yards away.

The CounterBomber, created by Science, Engineering and Technology Corporation, reportedly uses a complex algorithm to detect possible explosive materials hidden beneath a person’s clothing.  Once a suicide bomber is detected, the maker’s claim military personnel will receive advanced warning via a handheld mobile device much like a smartphone.

Additionally, the CounterBomber doesn’t use x-ray technology for detection, so unlike the somewhat intrusive methods used by airport security, privacy concerns are essentially nonexistent. Each of the devices carries a $300,000 price tag, but with SET securing a $48.2 million contract with the U.S. Army, there should be no shortage of these life-saving robotic scouts on the battlefield.

In a war where suicide bombers can appear to be the youngest, most innocent of creatures, any and all help our military men and women can get is priceless.

If these things work right then they should set them up in all of our airports. That way, TSA will no longer be jabbing and sticking their fingers and fists in Granny‘s and small children’s orfices. Nasty PERVERTS, I hope you rot in HELL. I’d like to be a fly on the wall in their breakroom. I can imagine what kind of nasty conversations these parasite discuss during those moments. It should be put on Youtube.

What would be cool is if they could figure out how to remotely detonate the bomb (of course not to do so if people are around) at a safe distance. That would make my day. :)

Totally off-topic, gratuitous neo-nazi anti-semitism from a progressive agent provocateur.
    Apart from that it’s fine.

Obviously this device cannot be used-even if it is highly successful at the identification of those carrying IEDs. You have to point it at someone-isn’t that profiling? User decides at whom to point the scan-that’s not only profiling, but that also is infringing on their fifth amendment constitutional rights. ACLU- please jump on this one soon. Shut up and eat your peas-move along-this is not the airport safety you’re looking for- move along.

Next up is a feature that allows the operator to push a button that detonates the detected bomb, then summonses a fire truck to hose down the road.

The device is an advancement that may get better as we ‘tweak’ it. In the meantime I would have agents, or whomever I could get, to put bombs in the cities of muslim nations (that harbor terrorists) and start blowing up their people right and left. I would make IEDs that would pale in comparison to what they have made. Their cities would run with blood and the blame would go to Al Qaeda.

It amazes me that the Army would be the last to acquire this technology, esp. over the Air Force. The Army always seems to be the last to get the latest technology. Nonetheless, if it helps to protect our troops, I’m all for it.

Auto detonation? What if it was an innocent little girl who was taken from her parents and strapped with this bomb and then told to start walking towards the Americans? You need to think before you type. Your suggestion was not very well thought out bro.

To Cesium, Ok I’ll give it my best shot.
God said in the last days, knowledge would increase: Daniel 12:4
But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”
That means people will have the “God Given” ability to do so much more than ever before. It‘s hard to say that isn’t happening looking at all the latest and greatest tech gadgets coming on the market every day. Even medical developements are advancing at an ever increasing rate. I guess if someone really wanted to they could try to make the claim these advancements crawled from the muck or were constructed in perfect alignment by some “big bang”. I believe it takes more faith to believe in the “big bang” than intelligent creation. No matter what, I pray it turns out to be a lifesaver for everyone.
