New Soros Investment Fund to Profit From Obama ‘Green Agenda’

George Soros (AP)
Billionaire financier George Soros stands to make handsome profits with his newly launched investment fund, established to capitalize on new “green energy” — a policy agenda largely dependent on government subsidies supported by the Obama White House.
In a statement announcing the new venture — dubbed Silver Lake Kraftwerk (SLKW) — Soros describes the fund’s role to “leverage technology and business model innovation to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste and emissions, harness renewable energy, and more efficiently use natural resources, among other applications… Developing alternative sources of energy and achieving greater energy efficiency is both a significant global investment opportunity and an environmental imperative.”
SLKW is “focused on providing growth capital to business innovators in the energy and resource sectors” and will operate in Silicon Valley and China.
The Washington Examiner’s Tim Carney notes the connection between Soros’ generous financing for liberal groups and their advancement of the “green” agenda. “The big-government policies advanced by the liberal outfits he funds — like Center for American Progress — will enrich the companies in which Soros is investing.”
To help manage his new investments, Soros has also hired Cathy Zoi, Obama’s own Acting Under Secretary for Energy and Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
“An Al Gore acolyte, Zoi was Obama’s point-woman on subsidizing green tech,” Carney notes. “Now she’s going to work for George Soros to profit off of subsidized green tech.”
Zoi’s name might sound familiar. Her husband works as an executive for Serious Windows, a window company the White House has regularly hailed as a “poster child of green industry.” In 2010, the Zoi was accused of having a “conflict of interest” while working on federal weatherization projects while the Obama administration awarded the industry billions in economic stimulus dollars.
The Freedom Foundation of Minnesota investigated:
“Ms. Zoi is married to Robin Roy, a top executive at Serious Materials, a privately held manufacturer of ‘sustainable green building materials’ located in California. On the Executive Branch Personnel Public Financial Disclosure submitted by Ms. Zoi to the White House Ethics office as part of her confirmation, Ms. Zoi disclosed ownership with her spouse of 120,000 vested and unvested stock options in Serious Materials, a company her office regulates and that she may profit from.”
But that’s all in the past, right?
“Now Zoi has left the Obama Administration and will go back to work making an honest living in the private sector, where she can put all the knowledge she gained from working for the Department of Energy to work for the private equity firms,” CNBC’s NetNet notes. “Thata girl Zoi!”

Isn’t it strange that in the Silicon valley which is teemming with venture capialists, who go around looking to fund / finance hi-tech ventures and startups , Solyndra ended up on the government dole ?
How come Solyndra couldn’t even raise 1/2 a Billion ? What did the VCs know about Solyndra that the WH chose NOT to see? The VCs have been known to give money to startup companies based on just vision and ideas, but Solyndra was not even worth that.
Just like the Stem-cell Research boondoggle in CA, which ended up on the government dole and is yet to start even after 6 years.

Posted on February 24, 2011 at 7:22pm@ TOWER……I disagree with your assertion that money is attracted to evil. Evil is neither good nor evil. It is a tool that can either be used for good (missions, feed the poor, clothe the naked) or evil (prostitution, illegal drugs, bribery). It is the the heart of wicked men that use money in evil ways to control others that is the source of evil. Therefore men, being by nature through the doctrine of original sin, are the purveyors of evil, money like many other things (internet, sex, authority, government) may be abused and perverted to the purposes of evil or utilized for good purposes. How someone uses what they have is what will be the basis of evaluation. Secondly, in it’s most technical form everything that does not align with the Bible (me being a Christian) regardless if it is another religion or lack of faith or whatever is satanism. The ancient religions of Molech, Ashteroth, Baal and the like were just variations on a theme……..doctrines taught by demons. So is all that is aligned against the Christ of Scripture and the truth He revealed that is in existence today.

Being a Christian you must understand that Islam is a deceptive religion with spiritually evil commanders. The most effective spiritual lie is to take truth and mix in lies here and there. This is Islam as it has common features of the Judeo-Christian faiths but has been twisted into a false faith much in the same way the serpent in the Garden deceived Adam and Eve when he questioned what God had told them and twisted it and mixed in his own lies. No group can claim moral superiority on that ground. Also, pointing to one corruption does not excuse another. We must expose and denounce corruption wherever it exists !!!!!!

This is how the system works? hmmm I really don’t think there is any hope for America besides some sort of segregation or secession. If you are really so naïve as to believe that there remains some possible way to reconcile our differences then you need to just pass me some of whatever you are smoking… The system is totally corrupt and beyond repair. We will have to start over or at the very least start over with a new pledge to the current Constitution.

The Department of Commerce’s Inspector General conducted the independent review of e-mails taken from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in England, at the request of Republican Senator James Inhofe, a climate change skeptic.
The e-mails included exchanges between researchers at the university and many of the world’s top climate scientists, including employees at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, an office of the Commerce Department.
Some of the more than 1,000 CRU e-mails had appeared to show scientists blasting climate change skeptics and trying to block publication of certain articles.
But the review said it found no data manipulation or inappropriate procedures by NOAA scientists.
“In our review of the CRU e-mails, we did not find any evidence that NOAA inappropriately manipulated data … or failed to adhere to appropriate peer reviewed procedures,” the Inspector General wrote in a letter to Inhofe.
Several British reviews of the matter have exonerated the climate scientists of trying to manipulate data.

Obama has been involved as a shadow figure in the CCX and has been in bed with the Green Energy folks for a long time. It was to be expected that he would eventually find a way to allow his benefactor to reap the spoils. I just think it ironic that Soros was giving interviews berating Obama for his actions while all of this was being set up. It was a helluva smoke screen!
