“Twilight: Breaking Dawn” has been seeing the kind of box office revenue that can only be sparked by vampire-werewolf-fervor.
But the film is now getting attention for a reason that has nothing to do with the supernatural love triangle: Reports that a gory birth scene during the birth of a half-human, half-vampire baby has triggered seizures in moviegoers around the country.
California man Brandon Gephart reportedly ended up on the theater floor after the graphic scene when he saw the movie Friday night with his girlfriend.
Gephart told Sacramento’s CBS 13 he doesn’t remember anything until he woke up on the floor, but his girlfriend described him as “convulsing, snorting, trying to breathe.”
“He scared me big time,” Kelly Bauman said. Paramedics took Gephart to the emergency room and the theater canceled the rest of the screening.
According to CBS 13, at least a half-dozen other claims have popped up on Internet sites.
A similar incident was reported in a Utah theater when an unnamed man told he went to see the movie with his wife.
“I didn’t really remember what happened after that I think I blacked out. According to her, I was shaking and mumbling different noises,” he told Salt Lake City’s ABC 4 News.
His wife was sitting next to him and described what happened next: ”He started mumbling and he was blinking on and off with his eyes at that point. I was kneeling in front of him slapping his face.”
They left the theater early, but in the process the man said he forgot his phone.
“When we went back the next day we actually found out it happened to another girl in the theater,” he told the station.
Medical experts said the scene, which features flashing red, white and black images, could have triggered episodes of photosensitive epilepsy among those who are genetically predisposed.
“It’s like a light switch going off, because it hits your brain all at once,” Dr. Michael Chez, a pediatric neurologist, told CBS 13.
Neither man said they’d ever experienced a seizure before. Chez said a single seizure should not cause long-term damage to most patients but that to combat risk and be on the safe side, moviegoers can wear sunglasses with blue lenses to filter out the red light.

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 8:45pmThis is a continuation of a descent into a deep darkness which began with the original “The Exorcist” which terrified people so much at the time with this depiction of evil and its power that people went back and saw that movie over and over to “integrate” it into their psyches (at least that is what THEY thought they were doing), it was said to be an example of the “stockholm syndrome” from the trauma people experienced. Every movie of the supernatural-cult genre after that sought to up the shock factor with more realistic depictions of violence and gore, or perversion, of every sort of evil that the human mind and heart could conceive of (”And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Gen 6v5, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jer 17v9,) – pushing the “artistic envelope”. But these images get into your mind, they stick and long after the initial exposure to such filth and depravity you are experiencing the consequences. To those that don’t think that epileptic fits can be demonic in Mark 9 a man comes to Yahshua – Jesus about the demonic spirit that causes his child to be cast into fire “And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.” Mark 9v20.

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 9:01pmto continue…”He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.” Ecs 10v8. Those who are believers on this board, I pray none of you are going to such trash or allowing your children for you are breaking the hedge of protection and you will get bit by the evil embodied in it. We are told “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Report Post »” Rom 6v16. Look at the faces of those OWS people, dead, lifeless, souless hollow eyes, a product of a godless upbringing and society where anything and everything goes except decency. This culture is shaped in great part by so-called entertainment since we have become a amoral, relativistic, godless society and the bitter fruit of this tree is now evident. Everything we do has consequences and the ramifications. Believers spirits can not be posessed but body and soul is a different story, if you open the door by exposing yourself to this garbage you may not like what is on the other side.

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 10:22pmI know a few people that could use an exorcism. I’m not kidding. I’ve seen a few exorcisms and I personally know what it is. But our society has taught that such things are abnormal and should be avoided. I find this really sad because people who do not confront the evil inside themselves will be cast into darkness when they leave this earth. If a person who needs a exorcism seeks help from people who are not well versed in matters of the human sprit? It can be deadly or produce hell on earth for the person infected with evil.

Posted on November 25, 2011 at 10:36pmMake no mistake about it folks. Evil is like a virus. It spreads exactly like a virus. There is a very active pathogen at work in todays world. Do you want to know what is “The Beast”? It is a persons infected spirit. It can very easily become legion. Let me see if I can elaborate and make it more clear. A virus infects a persons physical body. But “The Beast” infects people’s spirit and soul. The spirit and soul is something people do not attend to very well these days. The Beast is spreading.

Posted on November 26, 2011 at 12:30amPeople are messing with forces that they absolutely have no clue about what so ever. The biggest difference I see between the movie The Exorcist and the Twilight series? The Exorcist was very much directed and targeted at a very adult audience. Twilight on the contrary is targeting a very young audience and children. Most of whom are easily seduced by evil.

Posted on November 26, 2011 at 1:43pmSorry to burst your bubble YAHSHUARULES, but ‘The Exorcist’ was written and made into a movie by a man trying to prove gods existence by showing pure evil. He is a very religious man and was trying to make a religious movie, he was very shocked by what people thought about the movie.

Posted on November 26, 2011 at 1:56pmYou are so so so right YAHSHUARULES.
Do not listen to any of these naysayers.
This world has become so desensitized to evil that they crave it.
This illicit abominable atrocity to the Lord is now called “entertainment.”
Jesus said, “Woe to the man who calls good evil and evil good.”
Better start looking up the true meanings of words, like “woe.”
God is all about words, so much so, He called Himself the WORD MADE FLESH.
IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS THE WORD. The GREAT I AM. THERE WAS NOTHING
MORE THAN WORDS……If the world was destroyed by Flood in the very first book of the Bible,
when humanity hardly even populated a quadrant of the earth, imagine what the great Chastisement
will be now that we are some 70+ books away from Genesis in the Apocalypse.
The world should shudder at the thought of it, and crash to their knees in repentance

Posted on November 26, 2011 at 7:48pm@2malamutes I am fully aware of what William Blatey’s motive was, I am addressing what in FACT happened. The Exorcist horrified the whole country and alot of people went to it over and over to get to the point they weren’t shocked by it. (Rather then go to their knees and seek repentence and redemption), No, people sought to master the horror by reliving it. Hollywood realized that if every movie uped the shock images, pushed the envelope or lowered the bar with each new release it would be a success. Each successive offering “pushed the envelope” and consequently the public at large became more jaded and desensitized to the trash it was feeding on. Most movies really don’t have any real plot, nothing morally or socially redeeeming – most are about the special effects and alot of that is mayhem, perversion, horror, – a door opening to pure evil and infecting the mind with images that stay long after exposed to the eyegate. Incidentallly there have been studies done and there is a correlation between people that exposed themselves to pretend violence of movies and tv and books, actually have more real violence in their lives – also those that expose themselves to this sort of fare believe the world is more violent then infact crime statistics show. Movies can be uplifting (Courageous, Fireproof, etc), sadly most are just trash like this one. The bible says we are to make a covenant with our eyes as to what we allow in. Job31v1

Posted on November 26, 2011 at 10:17pmI have every respect for God and religion, but you may want to watch the movie before you start believing it to be evil. It isn’t evil like the HARRY POTTER movies are. You should rethink what evil is. The Harry Potter movies are seductively satanic, the devil hiding behind magic and witchcraft. There are far more anti Christian movies out there that you never mentioned and the Exorcist is not one of them. You need to do some background work on these movies and save it for the really anti God movies that are on TV and at the theater.

Posted on November 26, 2011 at 11:03pm@BlueSuede what the heck is your definition of evil when of this it is said “supernatural love triangle: Reports that a gory birth scene during the birth of a half-human, half-vampire baby” I am sorry but the relativism is a big part of the problem. The Almighty divides things in terms of LIGHT and DARK there are NO SHADES OF GREY. Vampireism is especially grevious as it is a twisting and corruption and counterfeit to HOLY Communion where the Son of Almighty God said ” Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. ” John 6v 53-55. The Almighty said that blood was “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.“ Lec 17v11 The Apostle Paul said ”The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?“ 1Cor 10v16 And in Rev 1v5 ”And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood“ ”even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.” 1

Posted on November 27, 2011 at 12:52amThat is correct. People are destroyed due to the lack of Knowledge of God’s Word.Though they can mock the messenger all they want, they are accountable. Only” a fool says in their heart there is no God.” They play with these things they Know nothing about . They are playing with evil, vile demons, which play for keeps. It is not a game , but the very damnation of their own souls to which these demons seek to devour. This type of worship of evil is an abomination to the One and only true God. A warning to all who would be mockers. Wicked this way comes.Search the scriptures and find that Jesus is the way,the truth, and the light. No one goes to heaven ,apart from him. All blood tests came back normal except for his prolactin level was elevated. Posted on November 25, 2011 at 5:04pmThis is an issue of these people suffering from photo sensitive epilepsy, and no it is not a “PC” explanation, it is a real disorder. I have friends that suffer from it and thus they can not watch many types of movies specifically those with strobe effects and fast switching images in the scenes, they also can not frequent nightclubs due to the same issue with strobe lights and such. It is a well known disorder and yes you can suffer this disorder even if you have never suffered from it before if you have a genetic link to epilepsy or have suffered from say a traumatic head injury in the past and such. This is what happened to these people, it is not demonic possession, and yes I have done a lot of research in that area as well as many others but I also understand the workings of the human body as well. For those of you that are skeptical, watch a person go through this and you will lose your skepticism right quick I promise you. In fact do some research on it and you will understand that it is a real disorder.

My point..Better to be in a movie theater having a seizure ,and find out you have this condition, than walking around a machine going around in a circle about 60 + mph or at least that’s what it looked like.
I also believe he had an angel looking over him. I have never seen two attendants for those rides before ,at a county fair. I know people that have epilepsy, are more susceptible to this kind of problem.
But I wonder if anyone, under the right conditions ,can have this happen. also ?
