New Video Shows Angle Being Heckled, Mocked

Last night, a fight broke out between supporters of Harry Reid and Sharron Angle during a Nevada Senatorial debate. National Review’s Elizabeth Crum reported that during Reid’s video-taped answers, the crowed was mostly respectful. But when Angle took the stage, tensions began rising.
Crum has now released a video montage of the heckling during Angle’s time on stage last night. The crowd can be heard laughing, yelling, and clapping while Angle is trying to answer debate questions. For example, when explaining that her son once failed kindergarten, the crowd breaks into a chorus of chuckles.
The moderator is seen asking attendees to refrain from such behavior multiple times:

Posted on September 24, 2010 at 12:01pmThe people who were there to listen and form their own opinions are not stupid. I don’t think they would want to be identified with the rude attendees. The people who were being disruptive are advertising what the left is all about. We have seen this at colleges when students like to act like thugs to prevent speakers from sharing an opposing usually conservative opinions. I wish we could discourage young people from attending liberal colleges for one year or altogether. Unless the institution could demonstrate that they have/promote open political discourse free from intimidation they should not get any federal money. If preachers are not supposed to be political why is it ok for teachers. My daughters go to KSU in Georgia and have teachers who mock them for having different political opinions. These brave intrepid professorial types spout off to the young impressionable kids knowing that they are the gatekeeper to good grades. Wow what noble hearts they have, devoting their lives to the enrichment of our children. It makes me sick! It is a perverted form of harassment, the teachers have the power yet the students are paying the bills. I have not seen any decrease in student tuition or teacher salary in the state colleges.

Rules for Power Tactics:
1. Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
2. Never go outside the experience of your people.
3. Whenever possible, go outside of the experience of the enemy.
4. Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
5. Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.
**Take note of that number five folks. The video is all about number 5**
6. A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.
7. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
8. Keep the pressure on with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.
9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.
10. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.
11. If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside.
12. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.
13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
Because Alinsky was sensitive to criticism that he wasn’t ethical, he also included a set of rules for the ethics of power tactics. You can see from these why his ethics were so frequently questioned.
Rules to test whether power tactics are ethical:
1. One‘s concern with the ethics of means and ends varies inversely with one’s personal interest in the issue.
2. The judgment of the ethics of means is dependent upon the political position of those sitting in judgment.
3. In war the end justifies almost any means.
4. Judgment must be made in the context of the times in which the action occurred and not from any other chronological vantage point.
5. Concern with ethics increases with the number of means available and vice versa.
6. The less important the end to be desired, the more one can afford to engage in ethical evaluations of means.
7. Generally, success or failure is a mighty determinant of ethics.
8. The morality of means depends upon whether the means is being employed at a time of imminent defeat or imminent victory.
9. Any effective means is automatically judged by the opposition to be unethical.
10. You do what you can with what you have and clothe it in moral garments.
11. Goals must be phrased in general terms like “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity,“ ”Of the Common Welfare,“ ”Pursuit of Happiness,“ or ”Bread and Peace.”
I’m sure what they were hoping for was:
- To throw Ms. Angle off her game.
- To push Ms. Angle to the snapping point.
- To have Ms. Angle lash out then use the footage against her.
Ms. Angle handled it pretty well I think.

I think it is important to know what tactics are being used, where they come from, etc. The left derides Glenn but listen to his message! I don’t consider it hateful. He says some things he regrets but, hell, so do I. You don’t see Glenn talking about demeaning someone. Rather he talks about respect. I have no problem listening to what one has to say as long as they are willing to listen to me and respect my viewpoint(s). What we are seeing is a radical group that will shut the opposing view up no matter what. I thank Glenn for re-energizing my interest in the history of our country. Currently, I’m studying George Washington. He also was all about respect and dignity. A different man would have taken hold of the dictatorship offered to Washington and run with it. I agree with Glenn. We need another George Washinton and soon!!!

This is what I do not understand about liberals. Let’s take the Reid/Angle race for example. They are in a straight up tie at this point. So the hardcore Reid supporter’s vote only serves to wash a hardcore Angle vote. Either vote is worth zip, nada, zilch. And neither will be changing thier vote anytime soon so on election day, either side’s vote will still be worth zip, nada, zilch. This race will be decided by the average, Independent, undecided voter.
Now, let’s take a look at the average, Independent, undecided voter. Generally an Independent voter is an independent thinker. They do not mindlessly follow the herd, but vote based on knowledge of the candidates and issues that are near and dear to them on election day. They generally NEVER are straight party ticket voters. If you can, difficult for a liberal I know but try and put yourself in the shoes of this Independent voter. Now compare the comments of a liberal vs. a conservative. What did you figure out? I’ll tell you what I figured out. The reason they are running screaming to the Republican side in droves is because of the left’s tactics. You guys lose big time on the Jackass Meter.
I mean, really? Do you expect an Independent thinker to just take the left’s smears, lies, half-truths, demonization and general nasty reindeer games to heart and accept them as fact? No. And, they don’t do that with conservatives comments either. So how do you think it helps your causes and candidates when they find out the Alinsky tactics are all lies? This event was for Reid and Angle to appeal to the Independent voter. How do you think Reid adds up in the mind of any Independent voter who attended this event? How do you think the Independents view the MSM?
So let me finish this up by saying, GO AHEAD!!! Knock yourselves out!!! Tell as many lies as you want. Make fun of as many regular people as you want. Demonize every single person you can who doesn’t agree lock stock and barrel with you all you want. Show up at town hall meetings and beat up and threaten as many people as you want. Fire up your politicians so they will get as mean. nasty and gutteral as you want them to, including your President. Stretch the truth or ignore it all together all you want. Continue to attempt to personally destroy anybody whom you deam as a threat like Joe the Plumber, Palin, Boehner, Beck, Black Conservatives, Joe Liberman, Bachmann, Alveda King, etc. And when you find it hasn’t worked come November 3, I want you to take it up a few notches. Posted on September 25, 2010 at 9:55amWe need to get out there and go to these meetings or debates or whatever they are and support those who are campaigning on our side. My goodness it is like that woman was fed to the wolves and how gracious she was. Man, I don’t think I could sit there and take that. So please if there is an event near you, please do all you can to go and support them.
