As the Occupy movement plans to kick into action soon, some entrepreneurial spirits are looking to cash in on both anti-Wall Street and anti-protester sentiments.
Neuchatel Ltd., makers of iPhone and iPad video games, has released a new app called “Bankers vs. Humans.”
“Are you angry at bankers?” the game’s website reads, “This is the place to take them down! Or are you a banker and angry at the media n’ protesters! Battle it out over the skies of Switzerland, Brazil, New York City.”
Careful not to choose sides, the game allows you to play as either a “Fat Trader,” “Slick Banker,” “Hippie,” or “Intellectual.”
“If you’re part of Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, an ex. Lehman champ or are working for any other investment bank, defend yourself against them protesters here!” the site reads.
“But if you are an intellectual (perhaps you lost your job owing to the financial crisis and are now working in a book store) or are part of one of the Occupy Wallstreet movements worldwide…take them Bankers on!!”
See the game’s trailer (via BankersVsHumans YouTube page):
Of course, some will probably accuse Neuchatel Ltd. of exploiting a serious discussion on “greed,” profits, etc.
But is it really exploitation?
“Our inspiration came from the public’s interest in, and its heightened sensitivity to, the Wall Street scandals; whistleblowers; and the worldwide Occupy Wall Street movement,” Karan Khemani, CEO of Neuchatel, told Pocket Gamer.
If nothing else, Neuchatel Ltd. has made a impressively shrewd move in marketing to both sides of the Occupy debate.
“This game is not to be taken seriously at all. The plot line is a total joke,” the site reads.

Posted on April 17, 2012 at 6:25pmYa know, it’s still okay to use the cent symbol. It’s easy. While holding down the ‘Alt’ key, type the numbers 1-5-5. Magically, this >>>> ¢ <<< appears. ¢¢¢¢¢¢¢

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 11:27pmThe Occupiers accidentally dropped the decimal point on their first batch of protest signs and the media that never investigates or questions anything went with it.
The number should have been 9.9%. Oh, well.

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 4:33pmOk just downloaded this – this is a LOL fest! Very tounge-in-cheek. Very smartly exposes weaknesses in both sides of the movement but the game itself is very addictive! – SP

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 1:57pmI wonder why nobody has challenged the 99% number. They are basically saying even people who can’t stand them are part of their group. I’m not a 1%er and I’m definitely not a 99%er by their definition. I think they are, at the most, 50%. That’s being very generous.

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 2:08pmI would say about maybe 10% no more. The Media put the Magnifier on loud mouths like that. I know no one that is on their side.

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 2:27pmI’ve done the numbers. Really, the 99% are just the bottom 1% of the 100%. So, with that, I would consider myself to be a 98% because I am no way near the top 1% but I don’t believe in being a whiny quibbling baby who has time to sit on my ass in a park, rather than work hence they are the bottom 1%. 1% – 98% – 1%. The real 99% is exactly the opposite of what the 99% claims to be, you see…

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 1:24pmIf you are angry at Bankers… you must be Left Indoctrinated… rejecting that the Government and Community organizers pressured Banks to make Bad Loans, in the name of Housing for the Poor, which created the Housing Bubble and led to the Economic Crisis!

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 1:07pmOh, isn’t this cute ? Just promoting the scripted message . 99. Keep repeating those buzz words. Sell the idea . Water board them through repetition. Say it enough times until people believe the idea and the math are true ! Wonder when they will come out with the Marxism versus capitalism version ? Or the Black Panthers versus the KKK ? Or the hoodie intruder dude versus the gun toting Neighborhood Watch dude ? What ever happened to common sense and decency ? ( I think I know the answer )

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 1:02pmThe only reason the ‘occupiers’ have ANY legitimacy is, the media gave it to them. The Tea Party movement was and is being maligned by the very same media and is growing.

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 1:26pmAgree. We now have government by the media. Trial by media . Old Soros knew where to put his big bucks : He bought media groups. Think we are now seeing the return he got for his money ! Marxism by the media.

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 12:42pmThis is another case of the admin and their allies using matters and media to support the Occupy; getting people to view the bankers and wall street as “the enemy” while Obama uses them for his own ends, none of them which are good.
