New York Mag Mocks Pelosi Claims: ‘Denial Is Just a River in Egypt to Nancy Pelosi’

Nancy Pelosi is convinced that Republicans will not make significant gains come November. Or to put it in positive form: Democrats will hold on to a House majority.
In fact, so convinced is she of sweeping Democratic victories that on Wednesday she told PBS’s Charlie Rose, “I believe that it would be very difficult for the Republicans to take over the House. Let me tell you right here and now that I would rather be in our position right now than theirs.”
Rose was almost speechless: “Why do you believe that when the numbers look — I mean, 95 House races are in play, they say.”
Pelosi’s response? “Well, who are ‘they?’”
The exchange was so shocking that the liberal New York Magazine couldn’t even keep quiet. On Thursday, the magazine’s website posted the above quote with a simple headline: “Denial Is Just a River in Egypt to Nancy Pelosi.”

Posted on October 22, 2010 at 8:37amWhenever I watch or hear Nancy Pelosi, I’m always struck with the same thought. With her ability to bald-face lie and smile through it all, how in the world does she keep getting elected?
My take on this is she was elected by voters who have an inherent belief that people tell the truth and lead truthful lives. With Nancy, that belief is totally false. When will the voters in her constituency wake up to the truth?
Oh yea, her constituency is San Francisco, CA, that would explain it!

I guess if you tell yourself something over and over, you are bound to believe it. It may not be true, but you can continue to tell yourself the same thing over and over, and it will eventually will be come fact in your brain. Fortunately, I don’t think a political coup with that crazly loon involved would ever work in the U.S. because she would have to have the backing of the military to make it work, and I think it is fair to say VERY few in the military support her or her like because they want to dismantle it anyway.
