NFL Honors Judge’s Lockout Ruling; Football Officially Back…for Now

NFL Honors Judges Lockout Ruling; Football Officially Back...for Now

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The NFL has told its teams and players to get back to football, at least for now.

In a memo released Thursday hours before the draft, the NFL said players could resume voluntary workouts at team facilities, meet with coaches and go over playbooks beginning Friday. It also promised to distribute detailed procedures for signing free agents or making trades and other roster moves.

That memo, the league says, will spell out the timing for the start of the league year.

The NFL still hopes the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis restores the lockout. The court says players must respond to the league’s request for a stay by noon CDT Friday. Then the league has until 9 a.m. CDT Monday to respond to that filing.

The NFL’s request for a temporary stay is still pending before the court.

The players think they are Obama, The Owners are to build a business, give all the money to them. so they canb cover there legal cost for raping shooting and texting sexual request to average citizens. The Courts Have to get the hell out of Private Business. Impeach this idiot Judge.

Greed rules both sides of this issue. Pride and arrogance drive both sides. Our nation is collapsing; government is taking our Constitution and trashing it, and we worry about the NFL situation? This situation is way down on my list of concerns.

Nearly every poll I see on this is 50/50. Nobody can decide who’s in the wrong on this one.

Problem is, nobody is. The NFL wants to expand games but not pay players for the extra 2 games. I can see why that is. A contract is a contract. You’re getting paid by the year, not by the game.

On the OTHER hand, two more games = several more chances to get season ending injuries. When the average NFL career is what? 3, maybe 4 years? I can understand why they want more money for it.

Then you get to the fact that the NFL is Vince McMahon’s XFL without the caliber of players they employ. The owners really owe it to the players for making them rich and should push some of that money down, while (at the same time) without the teams and league, the players have nowhere to play.

Bottom line, folks. Neither are right here. Neither are wrong, either.

Why doesn’t the NFL just ignore the judge like the Obama regime ignored the judge on the drilling ban?

So what’s new. The owners bend over and take it from the players union and the courts. Then they turn around and make the public the punching bag for all of it. Anyone pay the price to go to an NFL game lately. Unless you’re a lawyer or doctor or drug dealer how do you afford to pay for parking, tickets, food, something to drink, and then still have money to pay your rent. And God forbid that you have a family to take. The owners don’t care as long as they have the public to keep milking to death with prices. I love the game. I love the sport. Don’t want to think about how they are reaming the public or it will take what enjoyment I get out of the game….. away.

So what does this mean for Teams being able to trade by the time the draft starts. I’ll have to research this story further.

      Yet another Marxist ruling.

Like the wise owl perched on the branch in the Tootsie Roll commercial, I wonder how long it will take Marxists to destroy all the “great” businesses in this country?

What the hell gives anybody the authority to tell people how to operate their business, especially considering it is an employee-induced walkout???

It’s anti-American. Or, to be more accurate, anti-traditional-American; as Americans have drastically changed over the past 20 years.
