We all love to see our troops come home safe and sound from their tours of duty around the world, but perhaps no one can appreciate their return more than their families, especially those with small children.
On Thursday, two young Pemberton, N.J., school children got the thrill of their life when their dad, who had been stationed overseas in Afghanistan for the last year, made a surprise early return. Administrators at Busansky School arranged the special moment, along with the local news channel who was there to capture the heartwarming moment:
MSgt. Damian McEntee is an 18-year veteran with the U.S. Air Force. With time on the frontlines in Afghanistan behind him, McEntee has been reassigned to Italy where his whole family will join him.

Posted on March 19, 2011 at 11:20pmI love seeing these stories. When my son came home a few months ago, my grandson ran up (5 years old) & threw himself into daddy’s arms. Grandson looked into Daddy’s eyes, started crying & asked him if he was staying overnight. Grandpa (30year vet) turned away so no one could see him cry. It was a beautiful moment that we will not forget. God bless our soldiers and their families.
