No Joke: Roseanne Barr Seeks Green Party Presidential Nod, Anti-War Activist Cindy Sheehan Says She Would Endorse

They say truth is stranger than fiction.
Longtime actress Roseanne Barr is running for the Green Party’s presidential nomination — and according to reports, the comedienne says it’s no joke. To make matters all the more bizarre, anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan said on her blog that she would support a “Barr for President.”
Two peas in a pod.
Noting that the Green Party is “not entirely functional,” Sheehan said that, even though Barr isn’t part of the 99%, the comedian would still make an excellent president.
In a recent blog entry posted by SFist, Sheehan wrote:
Many people have a misperception about Roseanne, but she came to San Francisco to support my campaign when I ran against Nancy Pelosi in 2008 and I have had a chance to meet with her, hang out with her and interview her a couple of times on my radio show. She is also bright, articulate, well-informed, even more progressive, and even though she is not a member of the 99%, she knows our tune and can sing our hearts.
I have heard rumors from GP insiders that Barr is not a “serious candidate,” but I can also attest
to the fact that she is a very introspective and thoughtful person that would not be doing this if she were not, “in it to win it.”
To really change things for the better for the 99%, I am convinced that we need a united leftwing worker’s party instead of so many different factions of basically the same program and that will take working our fingers to the bone between elections–not just every four years presenting a few different candidates. Personally, I have not decided whom to support (if anyone) in this rigged Federal Electoral Industrial Complex sham of “free elections,” (I am slightly more interested in Venezuela’s elections in October), but I can tell you one thing for sure: this One Party politburo that infests and infects the halls of power needs to be stood on its head and kicked in the ass and Rosie is the person to do it, if ever there was one.
Politically outspoken, Barr said in a statement Thursday that she’s a long-running Green Party supporter and looks forward to working with people who share her values. She said Democrats and Republicans aren’t working in the best interests of the American people.
According to the Associate Press, Barr has submitted paperwork to the Green Party for her candidacy. The party’s presidential nominee will be selected at a convention in Baltimore in July.
Barr, whose hit series “Roseanne” garnered her an Emmy and Golden Globe, has a 46-acre macadamia nut farm in Hawaii.

Paul had/has more in common with McKinney… but there is still time for a Paul endorsement… so hang in there Roseanne.

2) Why would anyone take what she says seriously being the joke that she is in the first place.. you shouldnt dont ever dismiss this creature it is quite dangerous.
3) Cindy Sheehan….. really another shadow party honoree. I mean correct me if Im wrong but I dont recall seeing her camped out in front of the Obama White House or his homes in Chicago/ Hawaii in protest of the outright killing machine he has become; dwarfing anything Bush did!
Both IMO are enemies of the State but this nation being so coma induced in complacency will give them a pass and trivialize the threat they really are in agitating the radicals. No America you will just sit back and continue to play the game of the left instead of countering with your own set of rules and out of the box tactics…..

This one is a little different….Two Different Versions …Two Different Morals
OLD VERSION
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.
The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.
MORAL OF THE OLD STORY: Be responsible for yourself!
MODERN VERSION
The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house
and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving..
CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper
next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.
America is stunned by the sharp contrast.
How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?
Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green…’

Then Rev. Jeremiah Wright has the group kneel down to pray for the grasshopper’s sake,
while he damns the ants.
President Obama condems the ant and blames President Bush 43, President Bush 41, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper’s plight..
Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.
Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.
The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government GreenCzar and given to the grasshopper.
The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant’s food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant’s old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn’t maintain it.
The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.
