‘Nonsense’: Pro-Beck Jewish Academic Makes Forceful Stand Against Hostile Questions Outside ‘Restoring Courage’ Event

While Glenn Beck was giving his main address at Restoring Courage, I could hear the chants of the anti-Beck protesters on the other side of the Old City wall.

I’m not sure how she picked out the sound, but at one point Israeli-based journalist Sharona Schwartz, who was sitting near me, turned quickly and said, “There is another group singing an Israeli anthem — I bet they are supporting Beck.”

We rapidly decamped and found that she was right.

The group held Israeli and American flags.

I was able to get this picture of the largest flag, held aloft, along the fence line overlooking the Restoring Courage event as Glenn was speaking below.

And it soon became clear who was at the center of this show of support for Beck.

I saw a gathering around one woman who was answering questions, most hostile, in unwavering terms:

It turns out that Dr. Simcha Shalom Brooks, a Jewish academic focusing on Biblical history and archaeology, had come from Tel Aviv the night before to make sure she would have a prime spot to declare her support for Beck’s message — if you only watch one of these two clips watch this one:

And, yes, Brooks group had been singing the patriotic Israeli anthem that we heard from afar.

      Love glenn protect glenn@ You may just get your wish. From the rally today, if you were listening on GBTV, Glenn is going next to So. Africa and then to So. America to speak to a crowd of over 5000 and then to Texas to speak to another 5000 plus the next day. Can we say “jet lag”? Also I have it on good authority, that they are checking into spreading out further than just in the US, because it is gonna take a WORLD to help get this mess straightened out.

      It is good that some with ears to hear and eyes to see were able to go -and offered their support .
      And while it is important that Glenn Beck went and produced this event in support of Israel at a time when the fraud in the White House has policies that can only be understood as hostile toward Israel and hostile toward the Christians in America-it was important that Glenn Beck went and that he produced this event. But it is MORE important to understand WHY he went.and WHY we must stand with Israel when prophecy declares that Jerusalem Israel will become a stone of stumbling and every mans hand turned against Israel.God Allmighty the Lord of Hosts will NOT forget Israel -and I would rather stand with God and with Jerusalem Israel than with the world that is perishing.

      I know what this lady is speaking about. Here in Kansas, on Fort Riley, as a soldier attending college, I too was persecuted for my beliefs. The instructors of Barton Community College, argued with me about my beliefs, and, also because I am hispanic and a conservative. I made the National Dean’s List and when I graduated, many of my stellar grades were changed to reflect an average or below average student transcript. Despite repeated inquiries regarding “mistakes” made on my transcript, the issue remains unresolved.

    EVERY LESSON we are learning we need to use. I had a person try to bully a gardener today. I spoke to him and let him know he didn’t have to be abused by anyone, to feel sorry for the neighbor but hold his head up high. He did !! WE have to use it everywhere as a way of life.       Same here. My daughter was upset because a group of co-workers were bullying another coworker, when I asked what she said to the bullies she said she didn’t take sides.

      I told her when you don’t speak up against something that is wrong, you DO takes sides; you allow a wrong to be done to someone. She went to work today ready to face down the bullies and offer her support to the bullied co-worker.

The so called Palestinians have never owned any land besides the West Bank belonged to an entirely different country who lost the land in awar of aggression against Israel and eventually ceded the land to Israel.       Rose Ellen – If Israel had never been attacked in 1967, they would not have gone to war. It was a result of them being attacked that they fought back and ended up with territory that is now a bit of a buffer zone. It was a group of Egyptian women who protected Laura Logan to stop the men from continuing to rape her. Where the hell are the men? Is rolly-polly Glenn Beck and diminitive Ron Paul the only ones?       Please, give me a break. Ron Paul has no intention of leaving Israel to the wolves. He only suggests that we leave Israel to their own unions that we do not stand in their way and interfere with their policies and their laws and their relations with their neighbors. He also suggest we stop funding these unfree countries like Syria, Iran, Pakistan, Somalia and the rest of the backwards world that never supports us even though we send them large checks for support. Ron Paul believes that our involvement in these matters are imperialistic nature and basically should be none of our business unless we are invited in a support role for now I like Israel. But only at the request of the Israeli people. He believes that if we just get out Of the Way, Israel make the right decision for Israel if they need or help great if not then we can be supportive in other ways. You fanatics would make it seem like Ron Paul would leave Israel to the wolves well right now were feeding the wolves and standing in the way of Israel’s defense by the nature of our policies from our current administration.

      Sorry to say, if you support Ron Paul, you really can’t support Glenn Beck, as they are opposing view points. Glenn would stand with Israel, and stand up to Hamas.

      Ron Paul, would not get involved with either. But he accuses Israel of being at fault, and Palestine being the underdogs and democratic freedom fighters…

    Think she depicts what is happening, generally, with Israel; this rally being a very positive “bond” thing re more understanding & respect re the Jewish people and Americans – especially Christians. Think this period of time, the age old ways of thinking that kept many Jews “against” Christians is in transition and will eventually bring us closer and closer when it becomes more apparent that we are their friends, even though the rest of the world isn’t….which will progress to the end time scenario where the remnant of the Jewish people finally have the “blinders” removed and become Believers in Christ as their Savior and their long awaited Messiah. Exciting, but scary times to be alive….

Before the evils of hell completely took over the WH I was speaking up alone in MN…I have never been afraid of the truth and have always felt alone until Beck began speaking out. Thank you so much!
