Norwegian Hero Recalls Rescuing Over a Dozen Children With Boat During Massacre

Kaspar Ilguard Rescues Over Dozen Children With Boat on Utoya Island Norway Shooting

The unspeakable tragedy that occurred in Norway is enough to shake one’s faith in mankind to the core, and the selfless acts of heroes like Kaspar Ilguard are enough to restore it.

In the aftermath of the fatal shooting spree on Utoya island, one vacationer found himself in the midst of the carnage, rescuing over a dozen children in his boat and shuttling them to safety.

Ilguard, who said he’s vacationed in the area for the last five to six years, was boating on the outskirts of Utoya island when he witnessed the massacre unfold. During a chilling interview with CNN, Ilguard recalled seeing three children huddled together, hiding behind a large stone near the shore. He intended to rescue them before realizing they were, in fact, already deceased.

But thankfully, Ilguard didn’t turn his boat around. Instead, he made roughly three trips to various parts of Utoya’s shore, rescuing over a dozen children.

In total, Ilguard said he saw at least ten dead bodies on the island. But despite the heartrending tragedy that occurred on Utoya, Ilguard still thinks of the island fondly, calling it a “pearl.”

And while Ilguard said he will remember and respect those who were killed, “life must go on.”

Watch the poignant interview below:

I have a hard time calling someone who saves little communists & little Eichmans a hero. They were there getting brain washed by there older comrades to hate Christians, Conservatives, Jews & Freedom. That day they were prolly learning how to Goose step in sync.

Extremely ugly comment on your part. As a Jew who sends her child to Jewish sleep-away camp during the summer, this massacre at a youth camp, regardless of their ideology, was abhorrent. The man in the boat did exactly what any human would do, your comment tells me you are not human.
Eventhough I am a staunch conservative (even took my child to 8/28 last year to see Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin), I have nothing incommon with the likes of you. Do not even think you support Israel if you have no sympathy for those children and their families, regardless of ideology.

    Marxists: 150 million
    Anders: 76

    The battle has been joined.

The outpouring of sympathy for the deaths of several dozen Marxist activists and organizers is perhaps a bit misplaced when it is understood that these “kids” (they ranged in age from late teens to late 20′s) represent the future of the Marxist State. Marxists have been waging war against society since the time of Marx, and they have been winning. By the comments here and elsewhere it is clear that Anders failed in his mission to jolt the world out of its Marxist-induced stupor.

My sympathy for the victims is tempered by my knowledge of the slaughter carried out by Marxists against the world for more than a century, and my knowledge of the slaughters they plan in the future. I also understand very well the indoctrination conducted by Marxists that has you weeping for their children when they are gunned down as if Pavlov himself had trained you. They have covered up their crimes and it never occurs to you that you cry for the deaths of people who were being trained to order your lives, to be your slave masters in a Brave New World.

If these Marxist martyrs had been members of the Hitler Youth, would your reaction be the same? I think not. But as evil as was Nazism, Marxism IS MORE EVIL.

Anders Breivik desires no sympathy and he will be punished for what he did. If you understood Marxism, your sympathy for his victims would conflict you.

I am appalled that the press is continuing to call him a “Right Wing Extremist” for several reasons.
First, that he has blonde hair and blue eyes. Does that mean that all people with Blonde/Blue are right wing extremist?

Second, that his alleged web site says that he is a Christian. There are doubts about the changing of his site. Lazy reporting.

Third, his mom sent him to a prostitute to make him more of a man. Not too Christian here.

Last, he murdered scores of defenseless people…no, not a conservative in the US, but maybe Europe.

Kudos to a hero. Right actions need to be applauded. Too bad he didn’t have a gun on that boat. Then he would have been able to go ashore and prevent many more deaths. I wish to God that I had been there, armed. I was trained as a soldier. I would have known what to do. The fact that there wasn’t an armed citizen on that island is a direct result of government policies. The fact that an evil person chose to act that way was his fault. The fact that an armed protection of the innocent wasn’t possible was the fault of the government there.

This tradgedy is a great example as to why gun control does not work. The law will not stop a criminal from aquiring a gun and killing people. It is then the law abidining citizen that is put at risk. Check out the book more guns less crime on guerillatics.com on the left side of the page.

Norway has strict gun control laws so Anders Behring Breivik; A/H (ABBA) had to lawfully obtain his guns, which took considerable time and patience. In the end, Norway’s liberty-killing gun control laws do not work, and need to be repealed. When guns are severely restricted, only very serious patriots and outlaws will have guns.

If those summer campers had all been armed, then the massacre would have been a shootout, and ABBA would have been pinned down in a crossfire, maybe having killed a half dozen teens instead of 5 dozen. Laws must be enacted obliging citizens to own firearms (like the Swiss) and carry them at all times. Norwegian teenagers can obtain drivers licenses and legally have sex at 16, why not be required to carry guns and ammunition too?
