Col. Muammar Gadhafi’s son and heir Saif al-Islam, who was believed to have been captured and detained by rebel forces, appeared Monday at the Libyan hotel, Rixos.
CNN correspondent Matthew Chance had a brief encounter with Saif, who pulled up in a white Land Cruiser and allowed the reporter to take photographs and conduct a brief interview. According to Chance, Saif said his father, along with the rest of his family, are all alive and well and currently in Tripoli. The colonel’s son also mentioned rumors of his capture were merely a “trap” and that he has in fact “broken the backbone of the rebels.”

Report Post »It didn’t make sense to me that Ghaddafi would be captured. But, just because Ghaddafi and especially his son, who was supposed to have been captured, (Saif) are Soros puppets, that doesnt necessarily mean that they wouldn’t be thrown under the bus. But (again) since the UN have pretty much just been making noise over there, as if to stall for time to arrange a new regime, and there have been reports of an offer from Chavez to allow Ghaddafi to relocate to Venezuela, the whole thing reeks of a bungled attempt to manage the collateral damage caused by their own Arab spring.
And, you have to take in to account that even though Ghaddafi and crew have always played ball with the left, he is a leftist, thus insane…and most likely a narcissist, not willing to give up power.
This thing could go a number of different ways.

Posted on August 22, 2011 at 10:06pmHow come the International Criminal Court confirmed that Gaddafi’s son was captured. That’s not just a slight or little mistake. Seems like a lot of propoganda going on with news reports. The question is who is doing the propoganda? Is it the rebels, mainstream media or Gaddafi?

Posted on August 22, 2011 at 9:03pmWhen I was watching this on Fox, the reporter was saying how they lie all the time. Reminded me of how so many are so fooled by Muslims/Islam….they are taught that to lie is a noble thing to do if it promotes their agenda (you know, like the libs/Dems – the end justifies the means). So – of course it’s rampant but we Americans seem to believe everything they say to us – they are “peaceful”, etc., etc. Ah…that reminds me of our wonderful dear leader and his regime as well. Sigh……….so many liars…..so little time.

Saif al-Islam Gadhafi showed up at the Rixos Hotel, one of the remaining strongholds of pro-Gadhafi forces, in a convoy of armored Land Cruisers. In a brief interview with CNN’s Matthew Chance, he said his father and several of his sisters were safe in Tripoli, and that loyal troops had “broken the back” of the rebels who moved into the capital over the weekend.
Saif al-Islam Gadhafi, who is wanted on war crimes charges by the International Criminal Court in The Hague, had been reported captured on Sunday along with two of his brothers. Another of those siblings, Mohammed Gadhafi, was reported to have escaped Monday, according to the Libyan ambassador to the United States.
There was no immediate explanation from the National Transitional Council, the rebel leadership that had announced their capture Sunday.
The younger Gadhafi said news of his arrest had been a trick by the rebels, and that he had been traveling around Tripoli in his armored convoy the entire time. He said that government forces had lured the rebels into a trap in the capital, and that Gadhafi loyalists “have broken the spines of those rats and those gangsters.”
Luis Moreno-Ocampo, the ICC’s chief prosecutor, had said Sunday that he would seek Saif al-Islam Gadhafi’s extradition following his capture. Asked about the warrant for his arrest, Saif al-Islam Gadhafi told reporters, “To hell with the ICC.”

First they shoot a hole in the sky, then they fake a battle where there is no opposition, then they light a tire or two on fire; all the time claiming to be on the heels of Gadhafi and his sons; then they claim to have captured one of his sons. Now all they have is a bunch of sky with holes in it, burning tire and no believing them because they lied about capturing the son. And to think we (Obama) have spent over a billion dollars on these mentally challenged fools.

“They’re not even [within] 100 miles [of Baghdad]. They are not in any place. They hold no place in Iraq. This is an illusion … they are trying to sell to the others an illusion.”
“They do not even have control over themselves! Do not believe them!”
“Faltering forces of infidels cannot just enter a country of 26 million people and lay besiege to them! They are the ones who will find themselves under siege. Therefore, in reality whatever this miserable Rumsfeld has been saying, he was talking about his own forces. Now even the American command is under siege.”
“They tried to bring a small number of tanks and personnel carriers in through al-Durah but they were surrounded and most of their infidels had their throats cut.”
“We made them drink poison last night and Saddam Hussein’s soldiers and his great forces gave the Americans a lesson which will not be forgotten by history. Truly.”
“On this occasion, I am not going to mention the number of the infidels who were killed and the number of destroyed vehicles. The operation continues”
“We’re giving them a real lesson today. Heavy doesn’t accurately describe the level of casualties we have inflicted.”
“I can say, and I am responsible for what I am saying, that they have started to commit suicide under the walls of Baghdad. We will encourage them to commit more suicides quickly.”
“Their infidels are committing suicide by the hundreds on the gates
