Beck’s Recap: Willful Enslavement, the New Weimar Republic and…Mitchell on Wawa

In its most rudimentary form, the world “slavery” essentially means the subjugation of another human being, who is forced to do something he or she does not wish to do. Among the four key point discussed on his Tuesday evening broadcast, Glenn Beck tackled the various ways in which Americans, even today, are enslaved.

Beck pointed out four ways in which Americans enslave themselves, including being:

  • Slave to a master
  • Slave to debt
  • Slave to illiteracy
  • Slave to ignorance

Invoking the new Adidas sneaker adorned with bright orange “shackles” as a launchpad, Beck observed the irony that, with a $350 price tag, there are likely few who would purchase the trainer who could comfortably afford to. But perhaps that is why it is the most appropriate time to release such a shoe, given the nation’s debt crisis — for just as one can be a slave to the fields of a plantation, so, too, can everyday Americans be slaves to the banks to which we are indebted. And with personal debt levels at an all-time high, individuals are finding themselves forced into a myriad situations they’d rather not find themselves in.

With $16 trillion in debt and over $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities, Beck observed that America is headed over a financial cliff. Making an already dire situation worse is the fact that 43 percent of American households spend more than they earn each year and are spending over half-a-million dollars over the course of a lifetime on interest alone.

College loans and credit card debts are also at an all-time high.

With mounting financial burdens, American are also working harder than ever — but while hard work in itself is an attribute, it has become a troubling state of affairs that more and more citizens are spending their entire lives laboring, without any relief or retirement in sight, just to whittle away debt that never seems to subside.

But debt isn’t where the enslavement ends, according to Beck, and being a slave to a master is not restricted to arcane ideas of slave labor. In fact, he contends that the president’s recent move on illegal immigration perfectly illustrates how making immigrants reliant on the Democratic party, rather than themselves, is a form of enslavement.

But ignorance, just like illiteracy, is another method by which the masses can be enslaved. African Americans during the era of slavery weren’t allowed to learn how to read. The methodology was simple — the more ignorant one was kept, the less access the slave had to knowledge that might help set him or her free. Today, U.S. schools are failing students at an alarming rate, despite the nation’s hefty financial contributions to the educational system.

America now ranks 25th out of 34 civilized countries in math, 14th in reading, and 17th in science. To make matters worse, he explained how students of all ages are being taught to revile Capitalism. With President Obama’s move to grant schools that could not meet federal standards waivers, the situation is only bound to intensify.

When people are ignorant of history, current events, and even the most rudimentary political affairs, they allow others the power of making decisions for them. A prime example being New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s food “mandates.” When one needs the government to tell them how to eat, how is that not a form of enslavement, wondered Beck.

The sad part, for Beck, is that this slavery is self imposed and we are doing so willingly.

Hammer, sickle, swastika

Beck then segued into how even mainstream media outlets like the New York Times are finally catching on that the Muslim Brotherhood is not the peaceful, secular group it has claimed to be as its plans to establish an Islamic caliphate have surfaced. Quoting an article in the Financial Times titled, ”Back to the 1930s: the hammer, sickle and swastika” Beck reminded viewers that the Greek Nazi party recently garnered 7 percent of the seats in their country’s parliament.

Also discussed was the violence that has erupted as a result of major political polarization between Greek extremists parties including Nazis, Communists (the latter of whom are considered intellectuals). At one point, the article states: “Unfortunately this episode was not isolated. Despite the narrow victory of a centrist party in Sunday’s vote, almost every day extremist violence breaks out in Athens and beyond.”

Beck noted that the situation in Greece frighteningly mirrors the Weimar Republic, where “violence, hate, rage, polarization, fear, despair and resignation” ruled the day.

Often, Beck has predicted that humanity all over the world is “about to go over a cliff” and that fascists, Nazis and communists will soon see a reemergence. He assured that he did not reiterate these truths to say “told you so,” but rather to offer a viewers reassurance that they have been correct in the assessments they have made over the years. In short, it all boils back down to the four step plan, according to Beck — empowering through committing, living, activating and creating.

Rich people, Wawa and Mitt Romney

Beck also had strong words of criticism for NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, who irreverently aired a clip of Mitt Romney that had been highly-edited to make him seem “out of touch,” with everyday Americans.

In its proper context, Romney was merely explaining to a group of people why the private sector functions more effectively than the public sector. In the selectively edited video, Romney is featured discussing Wawa convenience stores in a manner that suggests he has never been to one before. The out of context narrative made it seem like the GOP nominee thought himself “too good” to patronize such a place. When she was presented with an opportunity to clarify and apologize, Mitchell refrained from doing so.

Beck used the segment to point out the blatant hypocrisy of what is commonly called “limousine liberals” when they mock someone of wealth for being out of touch when they, in fact, are also members of the”1%” and likely do not relate to those at poverty line in any greater capacity.

Also on the hot seat was Alan Greenspan, David Letterman and television host Jon Stewart, all of whom have mocked Romney’s wealth while enjoying the spoils of Capitalism themselves. Beck offered viewers a peek at each of the high income earners’ palatial estates as proof.

Many in the U.S. will be literally starving soon. The feds are setting up for shortages – electricity (shutting coal plants), fuel (preventing drilling and pipelines), food (new restrictions on farming and fishing), and water (new regs that will cost localities millions to provide ‘safe’ drinking water), medical care (obamacare dicates).

BE PREPARED. And DONT FEED THE LIBS, THEY MULTIPLY LIKE RABBITS!!

The US Congress is under a full attack from the Obama administration, from Holder snubbing his nose at their subpoena to Obama making his own laws without them. We desperately need a leader in the congress that will stand up and put this assault in it‘s place and I don’t think Bohener is capable of that. In fact I was wondering if he was still in town.

Unfortunately… most people view REALITY as Democrat/Unions against Republican/Corporations… and they do not recognize that REALITY is actually about Socialists against Constitutionalists… nor that we have become Slaves to Foreign Nations because of our National Debt!

So, if we cannot agree upon Just REALITY… what happens to a Predator Species?

There is some hope, I just found out that one of my grandkids teachers was speaking to them about watching and listening to Glenn Beck over the summer. He also talked to them about HAARP and Chem Trails.

There is a class divide in capitalism, it is based upon the individuals abilities, needs and goals. This is a natural class divide and is called getting what you deserve. He who doesn’t work does not eat at well, in America. Those who work hard and educate themselves and are industrious in the field of work will be able to provide a good living for themselves and their families. To those who take advantage at the top of this social-economical ladder, there are self described limits that allow them to only benefit as the other classes prosper.

The idea that there can be no classes in social-economic ladder is a falicy. In communism the government employed will always hold a class seperation over those who work in fields where the skills allow them the best opportunity to succeed. By placing economic limits to their ability to earn wealth communism will always be the suppressor of men.

Anytime the government is the cause and reason for the limitations of a person to garner wealth that is oppression. When the ability of an individual to garner wealth is due to his own limits and not those imposed by government the individual is exercising his freedom.

You can not have individuals exercising their freedom in a Communist controlled government. If anyone is left that does not believe the present Democratic Party and a majority of the Republcan Party is not working to limit our freedoms you only need to look at the laws and rules being imposed by those politician

Sorry, but the class divide today has to do with your birth. Hard work doesn’t matter when the tax laws are rigged to give the advantages to the few. Public Service jobs were the ticket to the middle class for many, now they are recieving pink slips do that the few can have more tax breaks. Hard workers created US industries only to see those industries shipped over seas so that the shareholders can recieve larger checks. Today those that control the capital are creating new serfdoms, they buy Congress and feed read meat to the ignorant mob of the tea party to retain power,

America is country that was founded on Christian principles. We put God first in this nation and received His blessing. Our covenant with God is what made us great and was manifested/achieved through those patriots who God annointed/appointed as leaders.

Over the generations, we became more interested in the blessing than the Blessor. This trend has continued to the present day and judgement is upon us.

It isn’t too late to turn back to God. It would also be too easy to place blame on any one group for their efforts to turn us away from Him but if you are honest with yourself you know that it isn’t any one group, it’s an individual decision.

Any obstacles blocking America’s return to God cannot withstand the effectual fervent prayers of righteous men and women.

Remember, the truth of the matter is…….we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, EPH 6:12.

Dude, I am a Christian, have a Christian Education DEGREE, and I will say this to you and all OTHERS of my brothers and sisters in Christ: Render unto Caesar what is Caesar‘s and to God what is God’s. The GOVERNMENT is NOT a theocracy, and you don’t WANT it to be. If it was, then what is stopping it from being a Muslim theocracy? Or Buddist? Or Hindu? Why do we have a problem with gay marriage now? Because the GOVERNMENT crossed the line and made marriage a spiritual/civil union. Now, the Government has precident, to come into ANY church, and demand you treat a gay couple like a straight couple, regarding the sacrament of marriage. All I am saying is…even Christ was wise enough to keep the Church and the State separate…shouldn’t WE follow His lead?

@ Dox – might want to get a refund on your “christian educator license” God is the Sovereign Authority over all things. The lesson to be learned by the “render to caesar” is that gold and material things are not to be confused with your heart, soul and mind. In other words, give caesar his gold but don’t sell your soul away from God.

God’s word is full of admonisitions as to how to elect leaders and what makes a good and righteous leader.

When citizens keep allegiance, reverance for God, and submit to God’s authority – all other aspects of a good and just society naturally follow. It is only when man gives into his own desires and selfishness that trouble starts

Glenn, the Truth deserves better than this. America outperforms ever country with the exception of Finland when it comes to white academic achievement. America outperforms every single country when it comes to academic achievement of Mezitos. Scores aren’t kept in Africa, but if they were, American blacks would outscore African blacks.

The reason American aggregate academic scores are declining is because of the growth of low-IQ populations. Stop blaming teachers.

There is nothing wrong with enjoying the spoils of captialism, that is not the issue, unlike Beck’s paranoid rants, noone is actually talking about replacing capitalism with socialism,

Correct! They are actually DOING it! Witness the countless government bureaucrats who produce nothing, and then retire from at 50 with full pay COLA increases and benefits for life. A two-moocher household can pull down 200K a year on this scam! Tony Soprano shakes his head in admiration. Witness the publik skewl “teacher” who works half the time for twice the money as the bank teller… then whines about it. Or the bus driver in Madison who retired at 52 with 162K a year + COLA + benefits for life.

they are pointing that the system is rigged against middle class

Not if you‘re the right class of middle it ain’t!

The top 10% pay 90% of the taxes. Being ‘at the top’ used to be applauded. Who breaks a $500 windshield to steal change off the dashboard? Who’s houses are the cops and fire dept at every weekend? Who drives drunk and uninsured in a beater blowing carbon? Who drives up everyone elses’ insurance, electric, phone, rates, ruins quality of life and obliges us to put deadbolts on our doors? The RICH? Or the OWS herd?

Right, only NBC and their… Revised tapes should be played as news…
Trickle down economics did work until businesses like Goldman heavily left leaning chose to make larger profits at the expense of investors…
As is slowly being proven, the Fannie n Freddie debacle was triggered by a Democratic congress that refused to listen to Bush.
And disbelieve all you want (to pretend to anyway), the best most cohesive argument for pure evolution still does not explain the creation of life beyond ‘something magical happens’
The fools are your friends who still want to blame groups that haven’t had control for more than 4years, who pretend we are not seeing a chief executive trample on his oath to defend the constitution,NAND who apparently have not heard the numerous direct suggestions of socializing American businesses by congresswomen, the nationalization of car production, bankin, and health care, and the open support of the 1% lie with the ows goals of socialism and or anarchy.

Yo aren’t really that dumb E so you are obviously playing the fool… Sadly, when the left have what they want, you won’t be any better off than the rest of us faithful, 2nd amendment supporting, hard working, tax paying, patriots!

Trickle down economics is voodoo economics that doesn’t create jobs, just adds to the class divide, destroys the middle class while the 1% gain more and more. Mitts’ just lacks the ability to empathizes with those outside of his class. In college he protested for the Vietnam war, knowing that his family’s name and power will keep him out of it, yet sought that others fight in his stay. His tax plan shifts the burdens onto the middle and working class, while giving more and more tax breaks to the rich.
