Now Van Jones Wants to Sue Fox?It’s kind of hard to keep up. First, Van Jones challenged Glenn Beck to a debate while at the Netroots Nation conference, then, when Beck didn’t seem too interested in the proposition, he made this MoveOn.org ad accusing Beck of “attacking the American dream,” followed by a politely-framed request to Glenn to “talk this out.”

Now, after all his challenges remain thus far unanswered, it seems Jones’ frustration level might just be hitting critical mass. The best way to assuage his potentially bruised ego? Well, sue FOX News!

HuffingtonPost reports:

Jones’ attorney sent a cease and desist letter Monday to Dianne Brandi, the network’s executive vice president for legal & business affairs, claiming that “a series of sensational and inflammatory charges” have been made against Jones on Fox News shows. The statements, his attorney Joseph Sandler argues, are “demonstrably, unequivocally and absolutely false.”

In a six-page letter, the letter says that Jones has been called “radical revolutionary” (Beck), “an avowed Communist and 9/11 truther” (Sean Hannity), and a “far left kook, Communist guy” (Bill O’Reilly), to name just a few of the disputed allegations.

“Mr. Jones is not a member of any Communist Party or Marxist organization whatsoever, and has not expressed any support for any form of Communist or Marxist ideology for many years,” Sandler wrote. He added that such statements are “demonstrably and unequivocally false” and were made to “injure Mr. Jones in his professional and community standing.” [Emphasis added]

Fox has reportedly received the letter and it is “under review.”

Jones, a once self-proclaimed communist and “rowdy black nationalist,” might have trouble making any judge see the “demonstrably, unequivocally and absolutely false” part.

    Van: You are slimy guy. You know that reams of film exists of you expressing your communist and marxist beliefs on podiums around the country. Some as recently as this year. This isn’t about Fox or your “tarnished” reputation, this is about relieving the fears in your base of supporters.     Isn’t this like what Arianna Huffington did last year when she tried to offer some significant sum of money to dig up dirt on Glenn? For a communist to attempt to sue a successful multinational corporation is not only ridiculous but incredibly laughable. He would be better off following in the footsteps of his fellow commie and put one right in the brain.       I just love how “HE hasnt had communist views in a few years ” . Well if he doesn‘t believe in Communism why doesn’t he come out and say that communsim and marksism are flawed and wrong. Why doesn’t he praise the constition the way it should be ??? ONLY Reason he does not is because hes a commie Hypocrite out to try and destroy are great country.

      I am no supporter of VJ but please remember Glenn Beck was no saint for a long time. A Jewish lawyer defending VJ against Beck a Israel supporter. Crazy……

      Would Glenn Beck issue a lawsuit if VJ was on tv showing him being a pot head and a drunk neglecting his kids? I would. Glenn changed from a stupid man to a good man. I’m not saying VJ did, but everyone can. Stand in Truth. 

      This is why Glenn needs to STAND IN TRUTH, debate Jones and shut him up for good. Call his bluff on the debate and destroy him. 

      By ignoring him and not debating Glenn is making VJ more powerful. Stand in Truth Glenn.

      Not only is truth a defense, but he’s got to show damages and if anything, he’s more popular now and better paid (by Soros) than ever before no doubt. He‘d be on a gov’t salary still if not for Beck. And Beck didn’t even break the Truther thing. That’s what really got him out.
