How Does Beck Predict the Election Will Go? See His Electoral Map Here (And Do Your Own)

On yesterday’s “Fourth Hour” — the hour-long program after the Glenn Beck radio program on GBTV — Beck’s co-hosts Pat and Stu found a fun new tool that let them decide how the 2012 election would go in the fall. It’s called 270towin.com, and it allows you to pick which states each candidate will win come November.
“You can now share your personal 2012 election map with others,” the site explains. “This can be a map where you forecast all 50 states, or you can leave some states undecided that you think will be up for grabs. It is up to you. Share your predictions via social media, email or blog.”
It allows you to select a variety of “starting views,” including the results from the 2008 election, 2012 toss up states, or simply a blank map.
The name comes from the amount of electoral college votes needed to win the presidency.
Friday, the Beck radio team went over their own scenarios. How did Beck predict it? Let‘s just say he’s calling it mostly a sweep (with Romney likely taking Canada, too):
According to Stu, it’s all coming down to Virginia:
And Pat? Even with Wisconsin and Colorado going to Obama, he has Romney taking Florida and the election:
Create your own map and share it here.

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 11:58amThis is a fun exercise, but all premised on the assumption that the Tyrant will abide by the results of the election. He’s already tossed the Constitution in the trash, and now we hear buzz of democrats wanting him to rule, not govern. What’s to keep him from saying that the election was invalid for some reason and refuse to recognize the results? If Romney wins, I think we should ALL plan to visit Washington DC on Inauguration Day, noting that DC’s laws against gun possession have been invalidated. Beck, why don’t you call a “Restoring the Constitution” rally on the Mall for that date. If the Tyrant leaves, then the Republicrats will at least get the message. If the Tyrant does not leave, well, the garrison of DC can’t possibly stop half a million. The question is, not does the Tyrant have the balls to ignore the Constitution, but rather do WE have the balls to enforce it?

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 2:15pmI don’t like the current state of the electoral college process. Winner takes all is some how wrong to me. Was not the electoral college put in place so that the large population centers would not control the process. I have heard the arguments about gerrymandering but I believe that each electoral college vote that represents each congressional district should go the way of that districts vote and the overall winner of the popular vote in each state should get the two votes that represent the senate. Only seems fair to me. A district like mine here in California, a conservative district would no have it’s vote overridden by Los Angeles. Nor would some liberal district have it’s vote overridden in a conservative state. Was not this the original intention of the founders? Correct me if I am wrong.

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 4:52pmThis is such propoganda, and from Glenn who has said Romney s a progressive. Romney cannot win, why do you guys buy into all the propoganda on this? Look at the poll done about Obama’s immigration policy he just did that all of you are outraged about: “A majority — 56 percent — of likely Republican voters opposed the decision, while almost nine in 10, or 86 percent, of Democrats supported it. Sixty-five percent of independents backed the policy change, while 26 percent disagreed” – Bloomberg
Look at the latest polls on the general election: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/us/general_election_romney_vs_obama-1171.html
After looking at those two links, how can anyone say with a straight face that they think Romney will win by a landslide? It looks to me as though he has a steep hill to climb. Well do not count on the Independent vote, Paul supporters vote, the young vote, the Dem vote. Are you Republicans going to do it on our own?
@ DMPrisk, “The Dummyrats will cheat like always.” Really? The RNC doesn’t do any cheating do they!? They cheated through the entire Primary so far. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. “It’s not just another election”
I completely agree with that! That’s why I support Ron Paul.
It’s hard for Ron Paul to do stuff when he’s one of the VERY few people in government who actually cares about freedom and the Constitution. Besides, he believes in very limited Government so when stuff comes up to vote on etc, he’s in a minority. He actually wants people to be free and to live their lives. The majority of laws we have today have nothing to do with “safety” or “protection,” they have to do with controlling and stealing our money.
A vote for Romney is a vote for BO. Anyone who is against freedom and the Constitution is not worth voting for. So why would I vote for two people who are like that? I dislike BO just as much as you do, I know what he’s all about, but I will not compromise simply to put someone in who is “not as bad.”

He is for banning assault weapons, which is unconstitutional! An Oathkeeper is against anyone that promotes any law, bill or anything that strips our liberties, we have taken an oath to not follow unconstitutional orders from any sitting President, and that will put us in jeopardy if we have a President who does not take their oath to protect and defend the Constitution seriously, and I do not believe Romney does. Posted on June 22, 2012 at 5:24pm@ KickinBack, The r3VOLution is going strong. The lawsuit is in place to unbind the delegates, Paul supporters have succeeded in aquiring many GOP chair positions at local and state levels in many states, We are fighting and will get more delegate spots before it is over. If the federal judge rules in our favor, delegates being unbound on the first round will change everything. I just cannot see a federal judge from the 9th district, saying that party rules and state by-laws supercede a federal statute, especially when it is an amendment to the Civil Rights Act, do you? That would set a precedent that all state laws supercede federal law. I just do not see tha happening.

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 5:47pmBob-R-Oathkeeper, I do not believe that you are an Oathkeeper. We have certain standards that we go by, and we are dedicated to the Constitution. The Oathkeepers are more in line with Dr. Paul than any other candidate. I believe you are a fake. Everyone, go to the Oathkeepers site, read through the articles, you will see articles about Paul, articles written by Paul, then go to testimonials and read through them, one that stands out is “From The War in Afghanistan to the Ron Paul Revolution.”
If you are an Oathkeeper the oath you are taking is:
“Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and we will not obey unconstitutional (and thus illegal) and immoral orders, such as orders to disarm the American people or to place them under martial law and deprive them of their ancient right to jury trial.
We Oath Keepers have drawn a line in the sand. We will not “just follow orders.”
Our motto is “Not on our watch!”
If you, the American people, are forced to once again fight for your liberty in another American Revolution, you will not be alone. We will stand with you.
This really does not sound like you, Bob, and the garbage you post against Paul supporters.

I will say that I believe strongly Romney will win the election, unless, voter fraud runs rampant in ohio through the slime-ball union members. Fortunately I’m not worried about illegals voting in FL as the FL gov is on top of it.
FnF, WH leaks, sham of a latino policy, gay marriage, no love for WI unions, solyndra, cash for clunkers, Rubio as VP(fingers-crossed), Joe Biden, Love lost among unemployed youth, love lost on Wall Street, horrible economy, attack on small biz, and Obamacare(I could keep going) are all reasons Obama is going to lose.
The only thing I worry about is Obama getting credit for the skyrocketing economy after Obamacare is ruled unconstitutional.
All Romney needs is OH, FL, IA (or NV), and VA… thats all folks, GAME OVER!

Posted on June 23, 2012 at 1:19pmJust, Thank you, I consider you a true patriot also. But keep looking to the positives The lawsuit may just change how we do elections going into the future. If we win, it means that people will have no choice but to wake up and actually get involved in the election process in order to get their candidat nominated and elected. It will be a good step toward restoring our Republic. I have high hopes.
Andy, So the truth freaks you out? A former Paul supporter? I say you were never really a Paul supporter. Being a Paul supporter is being a supporter of the Constitution. Does the Constitution freak you out also? The problem with our country is the fact that we have allowed progressives from both sides of the aisleto tear it to shreds. As an Oathkeeper, I stand for the Constitution, I will not follow unconstitutional orders from any progressive POTUS. I will fight against the NDAA, the Patriot Act or any violation of, yes, your freedoms guaranteed in the Bill of Rights. What are you doing to protect and defend the Constitution? Voting for Romney? Romney is for the NDAA as written before a federal judge ruled it unconstitutional, he is for the Patriot Act, which tears our fourth amendment rights to shreds. Again, what are you doing to protect the Constitution? I say, nothing.

Posted on June 24, 2012 at 7:11pmWest Coast. I voted for Paul in my primary, its ok if you don’t believe me. I am disappointed that he is not the nominee, but thats the brakes. The problem I have with you and all the militant constitutionalists, is you are letting great get in the way of good. I am half your age, 27,I don’t have a great job, but I do ok. I would like an economy that opens more doors to me and other entrepreneurs. I see Romney doing that.
You sound like youre retired and have all the guns and food storage you need. Many of us dont. We have different goals. It may sound unpatriotic to you, but my allegiance is to my family and our future before my country. If this place keeps going to ****, I’m going to find a country that allows for the free market. I need results NOW.
If Obama gets reelected and nominates 1 or 2 more SC justices, we are fcked. Kiss the constitution good bye. You gotta take it back little by little, not wait until this country falls into a real life revolution, although if I were you, I’d probably have your more extreme tendencies. I just have to play the game for now. Like I said, if we get stuck with a liberal SCOTUS, no more constitution.

Posted on June 25, 2012 at 12:51amAndy, I do not trust Romney to put in strict conservative judges. He is a lefty, listen to his beliefs from the past. He changes positions more than any candidate I have ever seen, and I have been through a lot ofelections. Ron Paul would put in judges like Judge Napolitano. Now that is a Constitutionalist judge. Paul is not out yet. I know that the chances are still small, but there is still a chance. Anything can happen in politics. If a miracle was to happen and a judge rules in our favor on the lawsuit, we just might have a chance, we will see and only time will tell. I am not giving up hope for Ron Paul just yet.
Report Post »Romney cannot win, and I do not care what any media pundit tells you. He will not win, so get ready for another four. Republicans should have woke up to our Constitutional crisis that we are in and supported the only Constitutional candidate in the race. I will blame the Republicans when Obama is re-elected. I just cannot vote for Romney or I will feel as I gave up on my principles. I will write Pauls name in along with all true Paul supporters. Nobody is going to change our minds and that is the reality of what we are facing. Romney needs the Paul supporters votes, he needs the youth vote and he needs a good percentage of the disenfranchised Dem vote in order to win, he will not get these voting blocks, where Paul would get them all. What ever happened to picking the candidate that had the best chance of winning?

Keep in mind that the ONLY reason we currently have a Democrat governor is because there was a major division in the Republican party and it was discovered too late that the GOP candidate was a worthless schmuck but there wasn’t enough time for Tom Tancredo to make his run as an independent work (that and he probably wasn’t the best candidate to go against Maes). Posted on June 22, 2012 at 11:34amI think that the entire argument may be moot.
With a (mostly) failed presidency (Supreme Court decision notwithstanding), more and more “thinking” Democrats understand two things: First, that the party needs a successful administration to keep the Democratic party “together”, and second, that the prospects for Obama having a successful (in Democratic terms) second term are virtually nil. There is almost no possibility of Democrats controlling Congress, and the scandals are mounting. The prospect for an impeachment while still remote, is growing. Democrats and sending out press releases touting the fact that they will NOT be attending the Democratic Convention, the ultimate distancing themselves from Obama because they know it could be a death knell.
Now couple all of that with Hillary being drafted at the Democratic Convention only ten weeks before the election; essentially a “do-over” of 2008. There would be a great ground swell of enthusiasm that could carry Democrats through the election. Hillary would gain back votes from independents, women, and other minorities. It would suddenly take away much of the Republicans campaign efforts that have been aimed against Obama and his administration… Democrats could rally and ride that swell right into November.
So, simply because of the possibility, a back-up exercise should be to take those electoral maps and consider them in light of Hillary Clinton and her voter appeal in battleground states, and her “X
Report Post »showmerancher
Posted on June 22, 2012 at 11:47amTo finish up, most think of Hillary as the 2016 candidate. But with a failed (possibly catastrophic) Obama second term, the prospect of any Democrat, including Hillary winning them dim considerably. The Clintons (and many others at the very top of the Democratic aristocracy) realize that Hillary’s only real opportunity is now in 2012, possibly explaining why Bill and others have consistently spoken against the Obama policies, etc. Bill want to be First Stud, and knows that it’s now or never.
Moreover, that gives the Democrats the possibility for Hillary to be re-elected in 2016 (a much higher probability of her being elected than after an Obama second term), keeping Republicans out of the White House until 2020.
How would Romney do against Hillary for another Clinton presidency? Time to get to the maps… it could be a problem for Romney!

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 2:41pmThis country will be in catastrophic financial times in 2016. Government spending, on an upward arch, will put a knife in the heart of our republic. Also, by that time, interest rates will have gone up so that the interest payments on the debt will swallow what’s left of any “budget”.
Romney is probably smart enough to know he will, if elected, inherit a big mess. Dramatic reforms will be necessary, which will cause further polarization. In addition to slashing entitlements, military benefits will be on the chopping block. This will be wildly unpopular, but will be necessary to bring spending under control. Our military will be forced to rely on roughly half of what they are receiving now. You will see our military contract to one comparable (in relative terms) to that between the world wars.
This will precipitate incredible social unrest. American cities, already hollowed out by years of Democratic socialist policies, will be in an uproar. The suburban populations, already decimated by years of smaller families, poor education and decreased income, will be much less of a threat. The country will be split into the “have’s” (about 5%), the “have-not’s” (about 50%) and the rest (ie., working people from good families; about 45%.
The country will be balkanized and almost impossible to govern. The question will be whether we see the equivalent of a bolshevik take over (soviet style) or military (Rome).
Get ready.

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 11:05amThe bigger question is–how can this election have any integrity now that our electoral college votes are being counted in Spain? For the first time in American history, our votes are not counted in our own country. That task was sold to a heavy financial contributor to Obama–and it barely got a mention on FOX, and not at all on other networks. So predict all you want. Corruption now is in full control of our system

Then consider that Obama’s friends in Spain will count the votes – this thing is SO rigged. It will take a miracle from God Himself to stop the Obamanation. As a nation, we all need to pray.

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 10:50amI do not think that honest voters can overcome the crime that will be involved in this election. Progs are all in and for them losing is not an option since they will never get this close again to taking over and redistributing the wealth of hard working middle class folks to the poor. The rich and super rich can protect themselves with accountants, lawyers, and inside knowledge. Only the middle class will be devastated and the US will return to the age old paradigm of the ruled and the rulers.

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 10:49amIf Colorado is the only blue state in the continental US I will be super embarrassed. I have lived in Colorado my whole life practically and it’s always been a red state until the last time around, I believe. The crazy CA liberals put us over the edge. I’m hopeful for a return to sanity for my state. That prediction would be absolutely horrible. I might have to move.

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 11:04amAgreed. I was stunned by Beck showing Colorado as Blue while none on the New England states or the west coast. (Beck also shows HI as blue. I originally missed that as well.) We weren’t born in Colorado as you were but are still saddened to see how liberal it has swung over the last 15 years. Like you, we are considering moving…..likely back to Texas…..if things don’t change in this state. We refuse to pay income and property taxes in a state moving toward the insane liberalism of Calicrazy.

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 12:01pmIf you are from Co why did you use CA as liberals putting you over the edge?
Report Post »copatriots
Posted on June 22, 2012 at 1:02pmBecause when the economy was great, Colorado experienced a huge influx of Californians escaping the insanity and high taxes and moved to Colorado. They had huge equity in their homes and brought it to Colorado where they were able to get much more house for the money. When the economy turned bad, many Californians then just walked away from their mortgages and still came to Colorado as our cost-of-living is less than CA. They are ruining Colorado. They are still liberal…..just slightly less so than many of the fruits and nuts who stayed in Cali.
Report Post »PAPPY72
Posted on June 22, 2012 at 1:05pmI live in Colorado too, and I’m going to keep repeating this until pundits start to get this: There is absolutely no way that Obama is going to win Colorado this time (unless something catastrophic happens to Romney’s campaign – which is possible, keep praying) becuase 2008 was a fluke. In 2008, Republican voters were upset with the state party because so many elected Repubs supported Ref C, so they stayed home, voted third party, or voted Obama on the basis that he would probably be no worse than Clinton.
Democrats came out in droves in 2008 because Obama would be the 1st black president, they hated Bush for “stealing” the election in 2000, and there were certain rich donors supporting him.
None of those are factors in this election. So Colorado is going to go for Romney by at least 7 poiints, possibly as much as 16 points.
That is the state of the state of Colorado. It is not “up for grabs”. It is not turning blue because of an influx of Californians or Latino’s (if it was we would have seen evidence in 2004).
Report Post »copatriots
Posted on June 22, 2012 at 1:18pmI hope you are correct, PAPPY. But I worry that with Denver, Boulder, Ft. Collins and Aspen that the rest of the state won’t be able to override those liberal cities. Much like they got HickenFruitLooper elected as Governor.
I do see less 0bama/Biden stickers than in 2008. But…..it’s early yet.

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 10:41amI think California just might go to Romney. I know everyone in Hollywood is on the blue side but I can’t shake the feeling that it is going red this time just as with Regan. Oregon and Washington are too far gone to the left, but there are alot of conservatives none the less Christians in California. California just gets a bad name because everyone that has a microphone in California uses their platform to tell the world how they feel. I just think that the no name conservatives in California are going to pull out a win. Wouldn’t that be something? Hopefully I am right and enough people have woken up to the where the state of the union stands.

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 11:40amALSO – it is important to remember that under California’s “winner take all” rule signed into law by Jerry Brown last year, the winner of the national popular vote must be awarded all of CA’s 55 electoral votes – so, even if obama were to win CA’s popular vote, IF Romney wins the national popular vote (which is highly likely), Romney will “WIN” all of California’s electoral votes. At this point, Romney is on track to “WIN” California!

Not true. More misinformation on the Blaze. So far only 9 states have signed up for that change.
with 132 Electoral votes They must get states totalling 270 votes to make than change the law.
“It’s unlikely the change would take place in time for the 2012 election. Under federal law, states representing a majority of electoral votes – 270 out of 538 – have to agree in order to shift the way votes are awarded in those states.”

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 6:43pmEight states have surrendered their electoral votes to the nation. Maryland (10), New Jersey (14), Illinois (20), Hawaii (4), Washington (12), Massachusetts (11), District of Columbia (3), Vermont (3), and California (55) will all give their electoral votes to the winner of the nationwide popular vote. If Romney wins the popular vote, this will give him 132 votes. He will only need 138 more votes to win the election. With the polls going in Romney’s favor in the other states, he could easily garner 312 electoral votes.

This is not true:
Eight states and DC (132 Electoral votes) but according to the law they need 270 to pass. This below was witten last August when Jerry Brown signed California over.
“It’s unlikely the change would take place in time for the 2012 election. Under federal law, states representing a majority of electoral votes – 270 out of 538 – have to agree in order to shift the way votes are awarded in those states”

Posted on June 24, 2012 at 10:16amI stand corrected. The states are not obligated to this process until they account for 270 votes. I was just jumping the gun. This is still a dumb idea. The Electoral College was designed to prevent what happened during the last election of allowing a possibly unqualified candidate to become president.

Posted on June 22, 2012 at 10:22amI think we need to divide California into two States. Like North and South Carolina, and Virgina and West Virginia. We need a North California, and a South California. We refer so much to Southern California anyway. No single State should have as much sway in national elections as California. Granted it would give two more seats in the Senate, but with how powerful the office of the President has become, it would be worth it.
