Nugent Ousted From Fort Knox Concert Line-Up

Nugent Ousted from Fort Knox Concert Line Up

AP

Ted Nugent has been booted from the line-up at an annual Fort Knox summer concert following his recent comments about President Barack Obama, a Fort Knox representative confirmed to The Blaze.

The decision to oust Nugent came after “recent disparaging remarks made against the commander in chief,” Ryan Brus of the Fort Knox public affairs office said.

Because the concert is taking place on a military installation, it “would be a conflict of interest since the military has the obligation to be apolitical,” he said.

Brus said they don‘t look at political or social views when booking performers but that Nugent’s comments about the commander in chief crossed the line.

Brus said Major General Jefforey Smith, commanding general at Fort Knox, made the final decision to cancel Nugent’s appearance.

Nugent was scheduled to be the June 23 concert’s opening act, according to the Louisville, Ky. Courier-Journal. Co-headliners REO Speedwagon and Styx remain scheduled to perform, according to a listing for the event on the Fort Knox Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation website. The site says a “special guest” will be featured as well.

Brus said they are working on finding a replacement for Nugent.

Nugent said during an NRA convention last weekend that if the Obama is re-elected in November, “I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.” His remarks prompted a visit from the Secret Service on Thursday, with a spokesman for the agency saying after the interview that “the issue has been resolved” and no further action is anticipated.

Nugent said on Glenn Beck’s radio program Friday morning he was not yet aware of any cancellation, but said “there’s always that possibility.”

So this is how liberty dies……… I‘m sure I’m preaching to the choir here, but Freedom of Speech was instituted for speech that NO ONE likes. Its is to protect people that have a different opinion, allowing all of us to not be “jailed” or “scooped up” for saying something crass or unpopular. I am REALLY starting to feel fear for my country, that it is about to become a zombie of sorts; where there will be mobs of cursing, crazy people attacking others for no reason.

How ’bout this, Ted and Hank, Jr, do a fund raiser for the NRA to donate money to the Republican pro 2nd Amendment candidates – at the same time as this Fort Knox concert in the same area. It’d be a hell of a show, the 2nd amendment supporters would go, and Nugent and Hank. Jr would draw fans.

It would teach a lesson to the people who thought they taught Ted a lesson.

      Hey PRC,
You better wake the he77 up if we don‘t unite behind Romney we’re guaranteeing 4 of the worst years since the civil war with President O. And while Romney isn’t the ideal Tea Candidate and his views on some issues is totally Unconstitutional he still has more common with us Tea partiers than O does. You need to grow up and realize that you can’t get everything you want and Ron Paul will never be president. To Throw you vote away for a write in is to vote for Obama. So vote your conscious vote Obama because that‘s what you’re doing when you write in.

      Lets talk about Fort Knox.

It was built by the Federal Reserve PRIVATE BANK in 1937 to store all the gold they seized as collateral from the “Government” and it’s “citizens” in 1933 due to the default on the loan from 1913.
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlCs7u1ihws

This guy says the gold is gone now:
      http://www.rense.com/general86/nomis.htm

This explains why I put government and citizens in quotations.
“Citizen” means you are a public servant, and employee of the Corporation.
This lady will explain the rest:
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOixE2ZFYtE

Here is someone who most of you despise, saying the same thing:

      These sites substantiate their claims:

The founding fathers Hated Democracy and thought it was the worst form of Government there was.

This order came from very high up the line of command.

Saying the military has to be apolitical and then making a decision that is political shows a very high degree of ignorance of what politics are all about.

And yes, it is quite scary of what is happening in the military.

But this is not only happening in the military but in every agency of government.

We conservatives have been naive or even ignorant about politics. We live our lives, raise our children, celebrate success, deal with our failures. Just living our lives. We don’t even think like the left. That is why they were able to penetrate every level of our society. They have worked at destroying our way of life behind the scenes.

Because conservatives are tolerant, open minded, accepting and generous, we did not think that they would present a real danger to our society. We have a motto, live and let live.

I will say it: We are better people. The very fact that we were not able to see the danger these people represent is evidence of that.

We do not sit behind the scenes and plot and work away at destroying our system of government. We did not even know that there are people like that, because their thinking is very foreign to us. And it is because of Obama that we woke up.

Now that we are awake and speak out against them, they get even more aggressive and call us haters. Just for speaking out against their plans for our lives.

There is a Catholic priest, that spoke frankly about Obama’s agenda, that is now being investigated by the IRS and might lose tax exempt status because he spoke out. Is Rev. Wright being investigated by the IRS for his blatant remarks against America, might he lose his tax exempt status – no!!!! he is not being investigated. Must be nice to be president with the power to pick and choose. Makes the remarks of the priest seem very, very accurate – much like Hitler did.

Just replacing them with Republicans is not necessarily the answer, we need to elect people that take their oath to protect and defend the Constitution seriously. Until we can get enough people to understand that, the problems we face will still be there. Romney is a progressive and that is why the same corrupt elite corporations are backing him that backed Obama in ‘08. Ted dodged the draft during Viet Nam. That means nothing to the folks on the left. Heck, Bill Clinton did the same, and they love him. The left bathes in double standards, and they are always fast to pick out flaws in folks on the right, while there heroes will have that same flaw, and they will love it.

Generally us folks on the right do not make heroes of people in as much as we stick to ideals, values, and morals. Ted may hate the left (unlike most rockers), may hunt, be for gun rights, but he is still a product of rock and roll (known for rebellions and lumped with drugs and sex for a reason).

Your friends tell much about you. Be careful who you defend or hold up.

They prolly made the right decision on this one…Not because of his comments about the up- coming election, but because Uncle Ted’s shows are filled with political views.. He has added that to his performances over the years and it would be something the military would take issues with… But to scratch him now instead of not hiring him in the first place shows the military’s intelligence.. They can‘t say they didn’t know what Ted thinks…And they say Romney is out of the loop for not knowing some cookies on the table are from a city icon company..

Ryan Brus of the Fort Knox public affairs office said.

Because the concert is taking place on a military installation, it “would be a conflict of interest since the military has the obligation to be apolitical,”

Hey Ryan the military has the obligation to protect and defend this little thing called the “Constitution” too. I.E. Freedom of Speech.

So I now believe the military has the obligation not to attend this event at all….let the sound of the crickets rien from the seating area…..so they may ponder just what has happened here in America.

Not a Crazy, I did not watch Glenn at the NRA, but if what you say is terue, Glenn is a sellout and not worthy of my time. He is a hypocrite and anything he says in the future will go in one of my ears and out the other. Watch this video and what Glenn said, then you will see that Glenn sold out after his meeting with the Soros rep when he was at Fox. He changed after that meeting, not sure what pressure was given, but it must have been massive. People need to wake up to what is happening all around them, and not look up to any media person, even Glenn Beck, as they have them by the baIIs. Keep going through life blind and help this country into the NWO if you want, I will not be a part of it. I think on my own, I do my own research and I know what is happening. In a few short years, our country will be changed so much, it will make all your heads swim, but alas, it will be too late.

Hello people of The Blaze, I want to re-introduce myself, I am West Coast Patriot, I have been a Republican all my life, my parents were both Republican and my son’s, both of them, are Republicans right now. I am turning 54 tomorrow, and I am in fear that my son’s and my grandchildren, which I have 5 right now, are going to experience a life of terrible poverty and violence. I voted for Reagan twice, I must admit, that I married a Democrat and voted Dukas in 1988, but now she is also a registered Republican and I am thankful that I was able to have an influence on that. I voted for GHW Bush in ‘92, for GW Bush in ‘00, and I did vote for McCain in ‘08. I did, however, listen to Barack Obama and his campign and I can tell you, when he was elected, I thought maybe what he said, he would do. I hoped. Hope and Change, you know. But, unfortunately, we all know how that has turned out. I was studying law in college, and I took a class on the Constitution. I did not just take what I was learning at college to heart, but studying it on my own. I learned a lot, that I did not realize, I did not know. I heard about Ron Paul and I became interested in what he was saying. It moved me in a way I never realized I would know. You have to do your own research on these matters, you cannot take the news as anything plausible.

Sorry. I am being long winded.

I believe that our country is to a point that we have to make a decision. Do we want to listen to the same old rhetoric that has gotten us to this point, or do we want real change, back to our Constitutional roots that made us such a great country? I chose the latter. I believe with all my heart that Ron Paul is the most honest candidate we have running. He will not sugar coat anything, and he will do what he say’s he will do. His record shows it, he doesn’t stand in front of a teleprompter, but talks straight from his heart. He does take his oath to protect and defend the Constitution seriously, which we have been lacking from many of our elected officials of today, and he promises that he will bind our government with the chains of that Constituiton. That is what we need. We need someone that will put an end to uncanstitutional laws being passed through Congress at an alarming rate.

Please, if you never watch a link I put in the future, watch this one to the end and read my post just above. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=AZJpU9WNGCk&feature=endscreen

There was nothing the establishment could do to stop the surgical precision of the Ron Paul movement, as we swept the entire District 4 convention. Shock and awe was the order of the day and Ron Paul now dominates Oklahoma. The spirit of Ron Paul from Oklahoma District 3, 4 and 5 is going to Tampa. Obama Snr in Britain’s Colonial Files
Here’s what The Australian News wrote – “US President Barack Obama’s father appears on a list drawn up by British officials of Kenyan students in the United States as “OBAMA, Barrack H”.

Obama senior enrolled at the University of Hawaii in 1959 and married Anne Durham(sic) in 1961, with their son born later that year.

A memo from a British diplomat in Washington to London in 1959 sets out concerns about Kenyan students in the United States, the Daily Mail newspaper reported.

“I have discussed with the State Department. They are as disturbed about these developments as we are. They point out that Kenya students have a bad reputation over here for falling into the wrong hands and for becoming both anti-American and anti-white,” it quoted the memo as saying.”

We are aware of the FOIA request Ken Allen did in 2010 to get a copy of Sr’s Immigration Service records – http://www.scribd.com/doc/59560239/FOIA-Release-Records-Relating-to-Barry-Soetoro-Stanley-Ann-Dunham-Barack-Obama-Sr-Lolo-Soetoro-Department-of-Homeland-Security

I bet this order came from very very high up the line of command.

By ousting they are making a political statement and are not being APOLITICAL. Positive statements OK negative ones are not; that is political.

But yet Barry O can hang on Easter with a proven liar and racist with Al ‘The Race Pimp’ Sharpton who calls for race wars in the streets?….to the idiotic ‘left’, that is perfectly fine.

Your loss Ft. Knox. How is Ted warming up for Styx and REO anyway? That’s backwards.

Styx and REO Speed Wagon both had about a dozen chart hits, which is about five times as many as Ted, though I agree that I ‘d rather to listen to his two or three hits than any of theirs. A better question would be: is our military entirely made up of 55 year old guys, and if not couldn’t they find at least one act that the troops might have heard of and like?

That’s too bad, especially since the vast majority of soldiers lean waaaaay right. I was in Kosovo in 2008. We were at a MWR function when a civillian walked onto the stage wearing an Obama ‘08 shirt. There was a complete loss of military bearing as the boos echoed off the walls. Not just a few boos, hundreds of angry booing soldiers drowning out all other sound.

Great post…you’ll never hear this stuff from the media, vut I do kmow it’s true. Anyone that doesn’t think so should check ut the armed forces tea party on facebook. I was amazed at how many members of the military they have….We have nothing to worry about with our military. (except for major general wanna’bes)

Uncle Ted is showing everyone the horrible, tragic divide between our Wonderful Servicemen and Women and our disgusting, unworthy Commander-in-Chief. I stand with Ted and the Troops.
