NY Daily News Exclusive: Gunman Hid Creepy Skull Shrine in His Yard

The New York Daily News has obtained exclusive photos showing a creepy, morbid shrine in the yard of Arizona gunman Jared Lee Loughner. The shrine includes a human skull — which the Daily News says is a replica — surrounded by rotting oranges and sitting atop a flower pot. It was discovered in the back yard of Loughner’s house and hidden beneath a camouflage tent:

It’s obvious something is wrong with him and has been a long time. But right away the media all but starting trying to give him excuses.
I don‘t know if that’s a form of delusion on the part of those who started down that road, but it surely smacks of bad journalism.

Posted on January 10, 2011 at 10:50amIt’s more than bad journalism, it’s the equivalent of ignoring all medical knowledge and interest about how the human body works. It’s the equivalent of believing in snake oil in my mind.
Where is the intellectualism that the far left is so supposedly enamoured with? To me, if they were both smart and educated, they would use what we in the field already know as opposed to running around grabbing snippets of fact from here to yonder and turning it into a bad soap opera.
I’m dead serious about that. WHERE is the intellectualism that is so desparately needed at a time like this? Isn’t this exactly when one should use it?
The man has severe mental issues, that’s painfully obvious. To try to turn a mental condition into a political agenda is just craven, especially if they’re educated enough to know what the real truth is. Downright unethical.
Unless they‘re really not as ’educated’ than they purport themselves to be. Then file ALL of these stories under ‘Stupid’.

You cannot make sense out of what is merely a jumble of irrational thought. His train of thought has no train tracks, let alone a caboose. If he were non-aggressive, he’d be the guy mumbling to himself at the bus stop. Being dangerously aggressive on top of crazy is what has us discussing him here today.
He’s definitely a candidate for the rubber room and lots of soothing chemical restraint…in a bulding surrounded by razor wire, after you throw away the key.

The country is divided already, and now this. BO and his progressive buddies are probably glad that this “tragedy happened” because now it gives them yet another reason to focus on GUN CONTROL, and to stop “Town Hall meeting styles…” because remember when those were going on? The conservatives were pretty much yelling and demanding answers from the liberals, who could provide none.
The scary thing is this is EXACLTY what BO was looking for. And our country is eating it up.

The shooter’s “rambling discourse & statements” are nothing more than self-invented justification (albeit insane) to feed his burgeoning delusions. In other words, any fire must have fuel to keep burning – and his insanity demanded the fire blaze on. Think Hinkley – his shooting of President Reagan was a culmination of his certainty that Jodie Foster would “like” him if he could just get her attention. President Reagan was the biggest log he could throw on his fire.
The same tragedy could just as easily occur anywhere else – from a tiny town in Maine to a huge city like Houston – with the “target” being anyone – and the “reason” anything under the sun. You just can’t predict crazy.
Unfortunately, both the right & the left will spin this tragedy for their own benefit – pointing fingers at the other side, gun control, immigration etc etc. Shameful.

It’s not like the media to fail to be camped outside the home, waiting to ask questions. We know the authorities have been there going over and through everything, but it’s not like the media to show at least a panning shot of the home and the other news organization’s equipment set up outside the home. One wonders if the parents and relatives have gone into seclusion. If they will, they can provide some insight into his condition.

I know you can’t watch them 24/7 but you could ask question and ACTUALLY listen to the response… How many time a day do you say to someone “how are you?” and they answer something like I’m ok, but you can tell something is not right, and you walk away not knowing, and they think you are just not caring.. One minute more and that person may have talked to you about something important to them, and you may learn something in the process.. I do not mean to sound all sappy but we need to start caring for each other and LISTENING to each other.. Just try it today and see what happens..

He never did anything that was “actionable”, but we did finally contact the family and tell them, “Look, we’re tired of this, deal with it or we’ll start calling the police every time he contacts us.” They explained that their hands were tied, but they became more viligant and he passed away from cancer a few years ago.
There are at least two other acquaintances that have become increasingly bizarre over the years and quite truthfully, nothing can be done until they actually break the law. It’s not an easy situation and quite honestly, you never know what will set them off. One time I happened to see one of these characters in a parking lot of a grocery store. That resulted in a flurry of harassing phone calls that eventually ended when he called someone else and actually made a viable threat. Since then, it’s been quiet and please God, it will remain that way.

However, as I have been writing on The Blaze for the past few weeks, Beck’s rhetoric, and the hot-tempered knee-jerk reaction to my fair criticism of it from many Blaze bloggers, is paranoid and irresponsible. It hurts the conservative cause, as I’ve said time and again here. Now everyone can see why. The media is spinning this event into an attack on conservatives like Palin and the Tea Party movement, exactly as I feared. I‘ve been warning my contacts in the political arena about this and now it’s here. The hostile reaction that you Beckites sent my way for merely raising a question regarding whether or not the killer was influenced by Beck’s fear mongering, end of days, conspiracy-laced rhetoric is a perfect example of how wound up and locked and loaded much of Beck’s audience is. Maybe it’s time now finally for Glenneth to dial it back on his search for a commie behind every potted plant in the White House and his tales of social collapse, mayhem and the imminent arrival of God here in the US. He has simply asked his listeners to be prepared so that they don’t starve to death, that they have some kind of exchange for goods or services when the dollar is finally reduced to zero. That is fear mongering? I think that is reality warning. More importantly, he has asked that people make their peace with God and, whatever comes your way, go in peace. He has never advocated violence. Never.

I think the most interesting facts are why is it that this 22 year old lived with his parents but they never noticed his erratic behavior, did not know about the skull and candles in the backyard under a camo cover??? Did not know about what he was doing on the internet? Did not question him about why the college asked him to leave? Not one media person has asked this question… instead they point to Sarah, Glenn, or Rush?
The fact that any of these conservatives have to defend themselves is ludicrous. The leftards have all gone crazy. Ironically, Gabby Giffords would have had an R instead of a D behind her name if she represented a Republican constituency. She didn’t, so she ran as a DemoCrap.

This shooter was a psychotic individual. His political views make no sense. He didn’t need to listen to ANYONE to stir him up. He is a classic example of schizophrenia. Megyn Kelly had an interview with Dr. Alan Lipman yesterday. He is a clinical psychologist and the Director of the Center for the Study of Violence. He explains a lot. His thoughts were brewing for a very long time and there are facts to prove that. It was only a matter of time before he acted on them.

If it comes down to it, I plan to be one of the people killed in those reeducation camps before I submit to communist tyrrany. So no, the tree of liberty has not been watered with the blood of patriots yet. As long as the left is still trying to take away my liberty and I am still alive, there is still one more person that the left needs to kill.
I would rather be killed than live in a communist society. I will not kill though.
