Earlier this week, New York gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino (R) called Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) a “little girl” for voting similar to her colleague Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY). When a reporter on Friday tried to ask him if he regrets those comments, Paladino wasn’t having any of it.
“Are we going to talk issues or am I leaving you right now?” Paladino said during an interview with WCAX-TV. After the interviewer kept pushing the issue, Paladanio ripped off his earpiece and microphone and stormed off:

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 11:44amHe answered if he regretted the comment. He explained why he made the comment. He warned her that he was there for the issues and would leave the interview. The interviewer ignored him and kept hammering on her agenda. She was more interested in the gossip than the meat of his campaign because gossip creates ratings and dry politics doesn’t. This guy is a bit of a loose canon though lol. He would be much better than the alternative though.

Although I disagree with the emails this man has forwarded to others I shudder to think that we have stooped so low to destroy every single candidate we don’t like by digging for dirt. There is not one person on the planet who doesn’t have an incident in their life they regret and if there is, people will certainly find a way to twist that into a dirty nasty thing. There is no integrity in any of it. I am disgusted with the entire process.

Absolutely wrong. We get upset with democrats because they dodge legitimate questions. They refuse to answer legitimate questions. They take a legitimate question about a real issue and go off on tangents trying to smear their opponent. This is not the same thing at all.
Not only was the line of questioning not legitimate or about real issues, but he answered it very clearly several times. She continued to ask him the same question after he had already answered it. He didn’t refuse to answer the question…HE ALREADY ANSWERED IT SEVERAL TIMES. The reporter was intent on doing a hit piece. She started off the f‘ing interview saying something like Hey isn’t the fact you‘re campaigning there a sign that you’re a failure. This isn‘t an opinion show like O’Reilly or a news magazine show. It was a local network news broadcast where they are supposed to report the news, not manufacture it.

So, New York will have to default on its debt like California will have to (no matter who wins the governorship of the Golden State, it’s doomed), unless, of course, the Republicans succumb to that short-term fear created by those states closing fire departments and firing teachers, rather than cutting state pensions, and bail them out, collapsing the country even quicker than now seems inevitable.
