I’d like to hear Cas justify the “nudge” against cigarette smoking while relying on cigarette smoking to fund healthcare for children. If smoking is bad for you, it should be “nudged” out of existance, right Cas? (WIthout coercion, of course, because that would be bad)

And we as a people have been “taught” to respect the bums in our midst. We value the opinions of actors over our parents. We value the words of our “leaders” over our families. His words are easy on the ears and very little effort is required of the listener. Centralization of power, increased tax burdens, destruction of the free state; these are the easy way, the broad path. Totalitarianism, monarchies, communisms, socialisms, aristocracies; these require little effort on the part of the “common” man or woman. The assumption is that you and I can’t think for ourselves. You and I have no reasoning ability. You and I are simply peasants stumbling around in the dark searching for the way out of a situation beyond our control.
Life is just too big for you and me. Life is a confusing mess made all the worse by that pesky freedom you hold onto like some kind of childhood doll. Let go of your past, look to the future. The future is bright with the hope and change of a communist regime.
They (communists, socialists, aristocrats, elitists, progressives and every power hungry group EVER) speak and write to the dark side of our person(s). Fear is their greatest weapon. “we have nothing to fear but fear itself,” (to quote a communist).
