Obama: ‘30 Million Americans’ Will Have Healthcare ‘Next Year’ Because of Obamacare

Barack Obama Claims 30 Million Americans Will Have Health Insurance in 2012 Because of ObamacareIn an interview with Mark Wilson, correspondent for Fox News Tampa, President Barack Obama claimed that some “thirty million Americans” will be able to get health insurance coverage next year because of Obamacare.

“54 percent of Americans favor repealing some version, some part of that law,” Wilson told the president.

“As you know, Florida leads the way in repealing it. What would you do differently now with regards to health care reform, knowing what we know now?”

To which Obama replied:

“Well, look, keep in mind a million young people around the country have healthcare that didn’t have it before because they can stay on their parent’s healthcare plan. Millions of families all across the country benefited from additional drug benefits as a consequence of that healthcare plan. Thirty million Americans, including a lot of people in Florida, are going to be able to get healthcare next year because of that law.”

“So although it‘s been attacked by the insurance industry and a lot of money’s been poured into making people uncertain about it, when you actually look at how ordinary folks are being affected, they now have protections they’ve never had before,” Obama asserted.

“They have certainty that insurance companies can’t drop them just because they get sick. They can‘t prevent them from getting insurance because they’ve got a pre-existing condition. Seniors have benefited from being able to get free preventive care, and it’s going to drive down costs overall.”

      Well Obama .. if my rate increase is what it was this year .. you can take me off the list .. I will no longer have health insurance .. I only have Major medical and it has increased faster than EVER before! You will add on 30 million and lose MORE THAN THAT! REPEAL OBAMACARE!

      Obamacare? I don’t want it. It’s not free, the costs are simply hidden from us. I need health care, but I prefer to take responsibility for my own well being. I’d rather not hand my life over to the government. Call me heartless, but I‘m one of the ones who has no health care and I still say it’s wrong. I was able to afford health care when we had jobs here, and a gym membership and healthy foods. Not anymore, thanks to Progressive politicians.

      I’ve never been so frustrated in my life. My employer and I pay nearly $15,000 a year for a health insurance policy for my family that covers very little. It’s actually just a pre-paid health maintenance plan. If we take a child to the pediatrician’s office, the policy covers the $60 cost. Wow! But, when my little whapped his head on the garage floor, we got stuck with a $2,000 bill for an emergency room visit and a CAT scan. There‘s a huge gap between doctor’s office visits and catastrophic coverage, and it is killing us. We are drowning in medical bills even though a large percentage of my income goes towards premiums. We’re suckers because our state mandates what is covered and allows companies to not cover other procedures. It‘s so byzantine that no one who doesn’t dedicate his or her life to understanding the rules can’t figure it out.

      Now, ObamaCare is going to drive our premiums through the roof.

      It’s stupid. I can afford doctor’s office visits. They are no problems, but when one of my kids injures him or herself then I need some financial protection.

      The whole thing is insane. Now, those of us who can pay or who has employers who provide coverage are going to have to pay more to subsidize people who don’t have insurance. This isn’t going to end well. Heck, I’m going to take the $15K, pay the penalties, and then sponge off the taxpayers.

      Shiroi, i am like you, my wife and i have no health insurance but i will be dammed if i am going to sell our souls to this government so we can COST OR FELLOW AMERICANS extra money OUT OF THEIR POCKET to help pay for my insurance it was not right when they shoved it down our throats when the democrats voted for it and it sure as hell is not right now for me to free load on the backs of other hard working Americans. I will pay for it myself and if i can‘t find a way to pay for it well then i will go without before i take money for someone else that i didn’t earn to pay for it.

      My meds deductible has already gone up 60% for generics and 75% for non-generics and i’ve lost at least one doctor (my son’s neurologist) and had to put my handicapped 21 year old son on Medicaid because my insurance company disallowed him because he’s not in school.

      My husband was in therapy the other day (broke his leg in a motorcycle accident). There was a woman there talking about not having health insurance. She asked the hospital about some procedure (can’t remember what it was) and was told it would depend on her insurance company, but probably would cost around $2,000. When she told them she‘d be paying cash because she didn’t have insurance, they said, oh, in that case, it’s $400.

      Only problem is that Obama’s monstrosity of a “Health Care” bill did nothing to lower health care costs for the American people… This bill simply expanded health care to cover 30 million more, whether legally in this country or not, on the backs of the American people.

      Subsidized health care for all government workers at the top and all illegal aliens at the bottom at the expense of the middle class. Is this fair?

      I met with the agent for my companies insurance plan on Monday. Rates will go up 23% for all of my 42 employees! that is exactly why we have had a hiring freeze since Obama came in to office. No new hires only raises for my existing employees who are working harder. Productivity has reached a maximum output… Unemployment will not budge downward until Obamacare is repealled.

      Barry knows the Supreme Court will likely find the individual mandate unconstitution next year. He’s sticking with his “30 million people”..it used to be “45 million” before the heat got too hot that he was including illegals. Companies are taking write downs because of oabmacare. Some are reconsidering hiring numbers. Some are considering paying the fines..or are they taxes?….because they’re cheaper than covering their employees. The bill is a game of three card monty for funding. No matter how much lipstick Barry puts on his pig…the American people still hear it squealing.

    The president should address why health insurance premiums have gone up from 13 to 25% for 2012. Taking the lower end of increase, you have to have a hire premium. I don’t see him talking about that, oh..wait, that would be the truth. Something our president has no idea about.

      I was dropped from my health insurance just prior to the bill being passed because I am the uninsurable with a nasty pre existing condition. I reapplied they want to charge me over 20k a year just for me because they know with the changes what they will be stuck paying for me when now I pay those expenses out of pocket, not husband kids just me. so I have disaster insurance which leaves me with no nothing coverage unless I get hit by a bus and everyone elses healthcare has gone up to subsidise people who don’t do a darn thing. it is complete manure, healthcare needs fixing but obama does not een have a clue as how to do it. I cannot wait until he is out of office, hopefully he won’t pull a clinton or carter and stay out of the spotlight (one can dream)

    How many millions will pay a lot more for coverage because of Obamacare? How many will be denied coverage by the healthcare rationing boards? How many companies will drop their healthcare plans? (I know, that‘s part of the plan so the employees have to get on the regime’s plan.)

      We’ve seen our health insurance costs triple. And because of that, we were forced to leave just my spouse on the plan. My son and I are without – or, our son was without until he had a major health issue and one four hour visit to the Emergency Room nearly bankrupted us. I don’t begrudge them the money, but now our son is on State health care because we simply can not pay for regular insurance.

      And I bet we’re not the only ones in this situation. Bit by bit, the insurance costs will keep rising, which will force people into Obamacare. It’s all about control and rationing.

      Im working real hard to take better care of myself because I think it ALL sucks…Govt health care especially. It’ll be more hours of waiting for practically nothing. I must say tho that the thought of tax payers footing the bulk of the cost for 30 million people IS giving me ‘flu-like’ symptoms right this minute. Shut up Obama….it’s NOT going to happen.       That awful bill that was passed in the wee hours of the night and Madam Pelosi-you-know-what equating her ramming it through with the civil rights movement! There are going to be a lot of physicians retiring or quitting rather than being compelled to practice under this dreadful convoluted mandate, not to mention businesses folding or opting to pay the stiff penalty rather than being indentured to this regime. Wish that Newt had the public appeal to get elected… but he’s not Mr.Hollywood enough for the sheeple. He would be the most formidable…. tho anyone of the present R field is exponentially better than BHO, whom the NPR gentry, the OWS, and welfare recipients and criminals will vote for come 2012.

    Yeah, it will drive down costs overall. Right. Just like all other government programs have done. No way. Put competition back into healthcare, dump regulations that prevent it and watch things improve. Take GOVERNMENT OUT OF HEALTHCARE.
