Obama and Hillary Clinton Top USA Today/Gallup Most Admired List…Again

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton Tops Gallup Most Admired List

From the Tea Party to Occupy Wall Street, Americans raised their fists this year to express frustration towards their elected officials and “the system.” Nonetheless, President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have topped the 2011 USA Today/Gallup poll for Most Admired Woman and Most Admired Man living today in any part of the world. Clinton wins the award for a record 16th time and Obama has now been named the Most Admired Man four years in a row.

Former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton trailed Obama in a distant second and third. Hillary too beat the competition by a wide margin, followed by Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama and then Sarah Palin.

The results are based on a December 15-18 USA Today/Gallup poll. Since Gallup first began asking the question in 1946, the Most Admired typically comes from the world of government, religion, business, entertainment, or humanitarian causes. Former Alaska Governor and Republican Candidate for Vice President Sarah Palin fell to fourth from second, where she placed each of the last three years.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump makes the list for the tenth time, and this year is tied in admiration with Pope Benedict XVI and Thomas Monson, president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sad that Gannetts name would be attached to anything that stands behind a vote for anything associated with anti-American. Something both Clinton and Obama surely are.

For those who don’t know. The Gannett Company bought out Al Neuharth for the USA today. Gannetts fame came LONG before that when he opposed FDR‘s new deal and went snap on the Roosevelt Administration with FDR’s moves to pack the court. He even ran for president in 1940, and started the group known as the “NATIONAL COMMITTEE TO UPHOLD CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT”.

They (the progressives and the government media) want us to think we are alone. We are not. You know it.

I’m reminded of the pre-2008 election joke: The younger Clinton (now working for MSNBC) asks a general if he’s ever afraid. He answers “Young lady, there are only three things in this world that worry me: Osama, Obama and Yo’momma”.

We know who the heroes are; and we know who they aren’t. No poll is going to tell me people want more of “this”.

LOL. Obama and Hillary. What else is there to say but… MEH.

I was looking at the list from the Most Admired Man side and noticed that a Monson is on the list with 1%. Thought it might be a guy I was rading about today, but the guy I’m thinking about is named Manson (not Charles) but Jules Manson a California Libertarian, a City Council wannabe’ some years ago AND a BIG, BIG Ron Paul zeolot . He is being investigated for calling for the assasination of Obama and his family on Facebook. I thought I should bring it up as we’re talking about Obama…

Paul supporters just can’t seem to contain themselves sometimes whether in public or on the internet. A sort of Liberal-like Tourettes Syndrome I guess.

But back to Manson. He defended his right to speak freely while posting a long line of racist comments along with the assasination call for Obama and family. Manson who it’s said is a Tea Party member… is part of the reason why the Tea Party gets such a bad rap in many cases. Seems the Secret Service is investigating.

I’m guessing the mechanics of this poll asked for a short list of admired persons without specifying a most admired and the ones who made the most lists ranked top. Thus they may not reflect anyone’s most admired person.

Goes to show you CAN find 17% of people (hand picked or not) to knee-jerk say they admire the president when asked. No surprise…it’s a pretty typical response. It SHOULD be an admirable position. If we had a COMPETENT president, I think that number would be much higher…MUCH higher.

Do you need to ask that question, who do you think is doing this. This is prof of where this country has fallen to. I would really suspect most of the voters have no idea (or do not know that much abut the person they voted for) why they voted for that person other than they see them on the tele a lot.

geez you think? Right now America (our USA) has cancer. you do not wanna kill the whole body but you might need to remove large portions of it and then hopefully the new science projects that allow for the regeneration of vital organs will have advanced enough to regrow them. In other words we are going to have to see some decent parts of the country say enough is enough and separate. There was a reason millions left Europe to come to America when the country had plenty of space to accommodate them. Now there is good reason for some region of the country
to set up a new regime. this might sound unpatriotic to some but we have slept until it has come to this
