It does not matter who that “someone else” is when an individual is oppressed from deciding for themselves. It could be a king, dictator, bureaucrats, or society at large. Its all the same in the end.

Posted on September 14, 2010 at 12:00pmI’m sorry, but I haven’t read ObamaCare…have you? This morning I received an email from NEWSMAX that said I could sign up for a copy of what the ObamaCare package is talking about.
See Below:
Obamacare Exposed:
On Sept. 23, I Want to Send You an
Investigative Report That Uncovers the
Dangers, Lies, and Atrocities Hidden in
This Miscarriage of the Constitution . . .
Reserve Your FREE Copy of This
Comprehensive Exposé Below . . .
Dear Concerned American,
When President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law on March 23, panic, confusion, and fear erupted across America.
Most Americans do not know the startling truths that are buried in Obamacare’s frightening and intrusive pages.
That’s because this dangerous legislation was written intentionally in a manner that is complicated and confusing.
Unless you are a lawyer, it would be difficult to interpret many of the clauses, loopholes, and constitutional violations in Obamacare’s pages.
And making matters worse is the fact that the average American has been misled through a never-ending wave of disinformation campaigns, political posturing, and propaganda peddling from special interests groups and certain politicians.
So if you have been unable to separate Obamacare fact from fiction — you are not alone.
And you need the truth — regardless of how frightening that may be . . .
But more importantly, you need to take active measures immediately to protect your health and that of your loved ones.
“If this is what passes for healthcare
reform in America, then God help us all.”
— Rep. Kevin Brady of Texas
To help unravel the half-truths, coverups, violations, and backdoor deals, I have gathered an esteemed panel to jointly prepare the most thorough investigative report of Obamacare to date.
And I will be releasing this crucial briefing on Sept. 23.
I have arranged for you to receive a copy at no charge whatsoever.
You can click here to make sure it is sent to you promptly.
In this startling exposé, you will receive the highly respected insight of one of the nation’s top constitutional scholars, as well as those of four internationally recognized physicians in the fields of: emergency medicine, cardiology, neurology, holistic health, and preventive care.
This report will provide you with a professional and thorough view of the new state of American healthcare in the coming days of rationing and limited medical access.
And more importantly, this esteemed panel of doctors will share with you the expert guidance you need to ensure you and your family can stay safe in these perilous times.
I believe it’s critical for you and every American to read this report.
This way you can make immediate decisions on how to protect yourself in the years ahead.
And unlike Obamacare, this investigative report is written in plain English.
You can claim a 100% free copy of this report by clicking here.
And on Sept. 23, I will rush a copy to your e-mail inbox.
Get the Shocking Truth . . .
When rationing strikes — how bad will it get — and who will be refused access to doctors or even life-saving surgeries?
Will Obamacare provide only adequate medical treatment for the rich and influential? And why was this falsely sold as “universal healthcare?”
Has an unholy alliance of Big Pharma, Big Insurance, and Big Government endangered you and your family?
Who are the real “influencers” in the healthcare debate, and what do their words and actions tell you about their true intent?
What measures and steps can the average American take to protect their health and that of their loved ones?
Which frank conversations, alternative tests, and comprehensive exams should you have with your doctor immediately to ensure your body is ready for the days of limited care, long lines, and scarce access to medicines and treatments?
On Sept. 23, I will issue what I believe to be one of the most important reports you could read in these troubling days.
Because, if you aren’t prepared for the worst-case scenarios in Obamacare, you may fall victim to them.
So I strongly recommend you make it a priority to receive a copy of this 100% free briefing.
Click here to ensure you are sent this comprehensive investigative report!
Stay Safe,

Perhaps if everyone read this they would have a better understanding of why nobody should want this outrageous care (if you can call it that). I know people who cannot afford health insurance, they go to the emergency room when they get sick and they pay nothing. When I had to retire to take care of sick parents I was paying $500.00 a month for my “Cobra” health insurance; my retirement check is just a little over $1,000.00 a month. You do the math. I do NOT want ObamaCare. I would rather starve than be without my own selected health insurance. Please, get the “true facts” before you vote on this…not only your health care is involved, but everyone in America. Thank you.

But, as Pres. O has stated that with the wonderful “wellness” programs and “preventive medicine” programs nobody will get sick and with everybody having health care then less poor people will die in the emergency rooms…and I am still waiting for the tooth fairy to give me a dollar under my pillow….

I don’t believe in slavery, so I don’t believe I have a “right” to someone els’s labor (are you listening Federal Government). Right come from God, or nature, & pre-exist government.
There are some fundamental differences between the concept of auto-insurance, & health-insurance…auto-insurane in dependant on obtaining an automobile; & auto-insurance is not expected to cover basic maintenance.
This doesn’t begin to cover the back-room; behind-closed-doors dealing; the lies; the false promises; & the general level of incompetence in government…that in the end…WILL COST LIVES.

Posted on September 14, 2010 at 11:15amFlagwaver, I once worked in a law office where they did collections work. It was a dirty job and I lasted 3 weeks. Champus was the so-called insurer for the military, I don‘t know if it’s the same now, but you and all of our military deserve SO MUCH BETTER! Champus approved everything, but paid for nothing. They approved every procedure, every prescription, every specialist visit, every pair of glasses, everything, but they never paid the providers. They are the federal government and will pay if and when they feel like paying. Meantime, service people were losing their credit and their possessions to sheriff’s sale because of Champus. I did not have the stomach to take away things from our military because of healthcare bills that weren’t being paid by Champus. I had a case on my desk where Champus approved emergency treatment for a heart attack 7 years previously and not one penny of any of the bills had ever been paid. When I called Champus, they always cheerfully told me that all was approved and would be paid, but got REALLY shi#%@! when I demanded to know when, on behalf of my clients? I was threatened and hung up on. Meantime, the law office had already obtained an order of execution for the sheriff to take over the property of and to evict that soldier and have a public auction of the property and all the contents. I was physically ill. I left work that day and never went back, didn’t even collect one paycheck from them, I could not accept money from people who could do that to servicemen and women. This is exactly what we can look forward to with this medical takeover law. Flagwaver, THANK YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FOR YOUR SERVICE!

Posted on September 14, 2010 at 9:56amWe need to go back to hospitalization with major medical prescription coverage after you pay a deductible via relative costs rather than something called health care. When a person is sick they pay the office call out of pocket. Hospitalization used to be a method for business to get the best employees by offering benefits. It was an incentive to work hard and get a good job. Health care and preventive medicine is an individual’s responsibility. That system worked just fine until the unions started demanding more and more. Then along came Hillary Care which gave the insurance companies far more power than they had ever had over what they would cover or not. Now we are in over our heads with demands for even more.
We simply need hospitalization and catastrophic insurance. We were never guaranteed anything just because we breathe. If a person did not have any coverage community used to help. People went to church and congregations took care of their patrons rather than build huge opulent houses of worship. People used to buy houses as a hedge to old age and relative costs. Families took care of their own. Today too many families want to find a way to keep granny’s money and ditch her in a nursing home. Greed is at both ends of the spectrum. Business and families.
Get the government out of our lives and maybe just maybe business and family would again have some loyalty to their people. There are other Glenn’s out there that want to do what is morally right.

Posted on September 14, 2010 at 9:56amThe president is incorrect about liposuction. In most cases it is not covered by insurance and you have to pay for it nor is Lasik surgery covered. Another case of him making a false statement to support his position. I’ve had to deal with this throughout my career, supposedly intelligent people making up data to support their agenda. It’s kind of like creating words in Scrabble.
Report Post »Pattio
Posted on September 14, 2010 at 9:55amUh, Obama, Lipo and Lasik are generally NEVER covered by insurance since they are considered elective. That’s why they are two medical procedures whose costs have actually COME DOWN over time. Group insurance killed the idea of affordable healthcare. If people actually paid for service, we wouldn’t be discussing this. And no it’s not “fair” that not everyone would be able to afford every procedure. Life is hard. Life is not fair.

Posted on September 14, 2010 at 9:32amFirst off, I want to say thank you to “The Blaze” staff for making this site an exciting and interesting addition to the conservative cyberscape…
That being said, I am only going to post about the resident troll this one time. I have really enjoyed the news, and the articles, but the way that this “Dbag” has latched onto the Comments section makes me want to ignore the majority of the comments. There are conservative websites that have some great commenters, but this troll has hijacked The Blaze, almost, from day one. The Comments Section seems, at times, to have been hobbled by this infiltrator. I have already seen evidence that “Dbag”, in come cases, wouldn’t have time to read the article or view the video before making a comment. Because of the way the comments section leaves the troll comment lingering, and all of the other posts come below it, many of the posters here can’t seem to leave well enough alone, and their comments are directed at the troll instead of the subject matter. Boring…
Please fix the comments section so the newest post is at the top. And perhaps then you could make it easier to view the “Oldest” post also… I believe this would go a long to way to neutering “Dbag” and his copycat brethren… That, or ban the worst offenders, of which I believe “Dbag” would qualify…
Why can’t “Dbag” post “first” like every other brain dead trolls out there. So far there is zero evidence that “Dbag” is even capable of being a “progressive”. Our real progressive enemy is cunning and wily… “Dbag” is neither of these… He’s either just a run-of-the mill, product of the public education system… Or he works for Cass… He could be both… You never know these days…
Like I said, first, last, and only post concerning this situation…

Report Post »CoFX
Posted on September 14, 2010 at 10:38amCheryl – I hate to say it, but I don‘t think there won’t be much of a fight. Earlier this year, the New England Journal of Medicine ran a survey, and found that nearly one-third (29%) of doctors would possibly leave medicine if Obamacare passed. If a public option were to be added to the bill, the number jumps to 45%. With the potential decrease in staff and the exploding burden on the system, doctors that stay will be plenty busy, and more will be rushed through the education system to try to fill the gap. I can‘t imagine having to wait years to see if I’m approved for a necessary surgery, only to be put on another waiting list if approved, then finally, when I get rolled into the ER, my doctor ends up to be some 22 year old kid who was ushered through the Med program as quickly as they could.
Report Post »DanB
Posted on September 14, 2010 at 11:17amReally? I think many of them might just simply “exit stage right.”
1. This is the government they would be fighting. Government = using everyone’s tax dollars to fund their legal arguments. Surgeons = using their own dollars to fund their legal argument. It is so easy to spend other people’s money that government could just spend the surgeons into bankruptcy on the case. Plus, it is starting to look like the courts might favoring government. I hope not, but it is starting to look that way to me…. I pray the courts turn down Obamacare as unconstitutional, but I am not going to hold my breath for it.
2. Even if they did win their case against the rationing, where is the money? Under a government mandated and run system, if the government ensures that the money is first spent on the healthy, the young, and others who have the potential to earn taxes (hate to break it to you but under universal health care your value to society is based on the money!!!), then after all this money is spent, what money is left is to pay for these surgeries. Well, guess what, that is also rationing. Why do you think other countries have long waiting lists for surgeries? Because the money is spent first elsewhere, from administrators to the politicians to the healthier producers and then what scraps are left over are for those left still needing care. So these surgeons still are on the short end of the stick.
3. Their compensation will be government mandated. In short, they spend all the extra time and money learning their specialty just to be told by government that they won’t be paid enough to pay their loans and other obligations (such as malpractice insurance) as well as put food on their own tables. These are bright men and women. Take a hint. They will either accept government dictating their very lifestyles, as in government taking possession of them in exchange for their debts, or they will strike out on their own to make money. Who knows, maybe this is what we need for an economic recovery. Maybe after they’ve been driven out of medicine and surgery they will become our next wave of entrepreneurs, because they will be driven to make money to pay off all those college debts they acquired to become surgeons…. But of course, that would mean that we would only be left with government controlled surgeons paid government wages–probably tossed into government unions with union regs on time spent in surgery, breaks, vacations, and all that other stuff to make sure they don’t work really really hard to stand out against each other in any sort of competitive, free market way.

It is just the little people that will not. My mother, who passed away a year ago, would have had to bear up under a debilitating agony after her hip socket basically deteriorated to where the joint would no longer stay together. This “new” approach would have left her completely helpless, and the system would have moved on to more important outcomes — keeping the hip joints in place for the “more deserving”.

Posted on September 14, 2010 at 9:35amThe result of one’s belief that their individual salvation is based on collective salvation will always lead you to the demonic path of rationing. Those who believe in rationing are the exact same individuals who make certain that it does not, under any circumstances, apply to themselves and their loved ones. Democrats refused to accept any legislation that would have made them subject to rationing. Page 30 explains how a Government committee will determine what treatment you are entitled to, they will determine your fate and your child’s fate, they will determine whether your life is worthy enough. When their child is sick, they will have the luxury of discussing it with their private Doctor and family members, they are NOT required to request permission from a Government committee. Gratefully, 19 States are in the process of repealing, however, we as tax payers are burdened with the legal costs while the Federal Government argues their case. The cost of litigation will be staggering, as Americans we should demand that when party leaders defy the Constitution they should personally be responsible for any and all litigation cost, or perhaps their “thrift savings plan” can fund their madness.

DBAGS MADE A POINT…. START THE PRESSES!!!!!
DBags said “Dont get health insurance and if you get sick lose your house and pass your healthcare costs to you fellow Tea Partiers……”
This is actually a very good point. Why? Because it SHOULD up to each individual to get health insurance. Much like Homeowners insurance or Renters insurance or Auto insurance.
People DO have the OPTION to purchase (unless you still owe on your mortgage or car, then most banks require ) these insurances. If you have a fire in your home, you loose your home and get NOTHING if you do not carry insurance. If you have an accident in a car and do not carry insurance You could be sued and loose your home.
So that said, if anything happens bad in someones life, should it be up to the government to MANDATE the rest of the country make it all better? I say NO! The US is already the most generous country in the world…. let me narrow that down a bit more. Statistics say that conservatives are the most generous. We may not be able to give much but we do give what we can. And we do it without the government telling us that we have no choice.
Also if people are in real dire straights, people can call and negotiate prices with hospitals and make reasonable payments. They can also request a line by line bill and contest that $24 asperin. I know this because I have done it. Most people simply let the bill fester and then end up nailed with interest and late fees.
Cracking down on hospitals for charging $24 for 2 asperin and other outrageous charges may be a suitable solution. However mandating that everyone else pays for someone else’s care is not.

Posted on September 14, 2010 at 12:38pmDinglebag,you, and all your cronies, are missing the point. Under Obamacare, some government lackey will make the decisions about what qualifies as a healthcare “benefit”. And neither you or anyone else can stop them. First, the hip replacement goes away — after all, that’s not a “basic benefit”. What’s next? Pain pills for the elderly?
Maybe it’s just me, but it sounds like the makings of a – dare I say it – Death Panel…

Posted on September 14, 2010 at 1:07pmDingles,
Must of us have insurance because we WORK. If you would get out of the basement of your mom’s house and get a job, maybe you could pay for your own insurance also. Or is it easier for you to have the government force your parents to carry you until you turn 60? Take some personal responsibility for yourself and get a job so you can pay for you own way.

Me, I can’t afford gold because I take care of my self and my family. When they said to start buying precious metal, I went with LEAD.

Report Post »You watch that vid and then all you can urp up is that lame comment? So you support the govt takeover of health care, huh? And no doubt you have read the Obamacare bill and really know what you’re supporting? Yeah. Sure you have. But have you ever thought about what the health care landscape would look like if govt had stayed out of the health care business? What if the deep pockets of taxpayer money had never entered the picture and had not distorted the price of medical services? And what if the AMA had not restricted the number of docs we graduate each year? Might the health care industry then react to the usual free market competitive forces and deliver the choice of services that consumers desire at a price they could and would pay? Might we not have our current accessibility and affordability problems? Maybe our health care problems today are a result of too much govt presence in the market instead of not enough.
Freedom is, in part, about having choices. Govt bureaucracies are about limiting choices and freedom. When govt regulates something you want access to, it regulates and monitors you too. Govt should focus on fostering economic conditions that will produce an abundance of good jobs to generate the income that would permit people to make their own health care choices and retain their dignity, freedom and privacy. Instead, we have Obamacare, an un-American, top heavy bureaucracy that is not even in effect yet but is already making health care more expensive and more complicated. You think things were bad enough to justify govt taking over health care? You ain’t seen misery yet, Bags. Just wait till the Obamacare juggernaut gets out of low gear.
BTW, despite the elitist conjecture about whether or not hip replacement surgery is “basic” care, it is an age appropriate “benefit” that ought to be available to those who need it, sort of like childbirth benefits are age appropriate for younger women. Currently both hip replacement surgery and child birth are covered benefits in most of the private insurance plans from among which consumers may freely select their coverage. Sounds like the hip replacement coverage has already been targeted for exclusion under Obamacare. Many other benefits will disappear too; maybe even childbirth benefits since childbirth isn’t really an illness. Oh, and what about those “million dollar” premature babies? Is being born before you’ve finished developing really an illness or is it a natural, spontaneous abortion of a defective fetus? Is one baby really worth a million dollars when money is in short supply and that million dollars can aid several thousand other citizens? Who will decide? See how nasty this can get? Now, do you suppose that the age and life experience of the bureaucrats who decide what is and is not going to be defined as a “benefit” will have anything, anything at all, to do with which services get covered and which get barred from coverage? At some point this power to decide what health care is available morphs into the power to choose who it is available to and who lives/dies. At some point these deciders become death panels; possibly death panels who are influenced by party politics and personal prejudices. Can’t you see how dangerous it is to leave these decisions in the hands of unelected, unidentified and unaccountable bureaucrats? Your very life depends on understanding this, as does the life of every American. As imperfect as the free market is, it is still our best choice as it is nowhere as imperfect, or as dangerous, as a government bureaucracy. Obamacare’s only virtue is that eventually it will teach even you progressive liberals that hard reality.
Finally, about the Tea Partiers: we believe in the U.S. Constitution, we embrace and will defend the freedoms that are ours by birthright, we are self-sufficient and believe in our personal ability to make our own decisions and run our own lives, we believe in individual strengths and responsibilities, we believe in the value of our time and of our work, and believe that the fruits of our labors should be ours to spend as we choose, most of us believe in God and include Him in our daily lives, and WE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO POWER THIS COUNTRY WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS. We pay our own way, Bags, as strange as that may seem to you, and your pansy suggestion that we force someone else to pay our medical expenses is insulting.

Posted on September 14, 2010 at 6:23pmI don’t need the government to be my nanny. What you lefties still can not figure out is the blatantly obvious failure that your brand of politics has shown itself to be. The ten most bankrupt states in the nation are run by liberals and have been for decades. California, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island and Wisconsin are among the most bankrupt states in the country. The only ones not run top-to-bottom by Democrats were Arizona, Florida and Nevada…all of which have huge illegal immigration problems. Liberalism=Failure Why would anyone continue to dip their bucket into the empty well of progressive ideas?

Posted on September 14, 2010 at 10:09pmThere is a better solution–it is to provide all US Citizens a $2,000 per year health care voucher that can only be used to purchase health insurance. For a family of 4 that is a $8,000 annual subsidy. Let americans pick the insurance company they want. Have all policies owned by the indiiduals. Eliminate exclusions for preixisting conditions. Fund the vouchers with dedication of the traxes on tobacco and alchol together with a broad based 4% national sales tax. Eliminate restrictions on insurance companies competing accross state lines. Create a federal malpractice court that only awards actual damages and upon a finding of malpractice, the court would designate action against the practioner/institution (up to license suspension) to prevent repeat the malpractice. Require all insurance companies to offer a “minimum coverage” policy for $2,000.
THis strategy would cause the insurnace industry to compete for the extended market heloping to hold down the cost curve. For states they could replace the medicare costs with the national health care vouchers saving the states the risks of open ended liability. In addition, since all insurance policies would be owned by individuals, all state and federal employees would be no longer have their health care paid for by the government saving the state and federal governments substantial costs.
This plan would remove the tax exemption for health insurance provided by employers or VEBAs so if an employer pays any premiums for supplemental insurance for their employees the payment would be income subject to taxation including FICA and Medicare.
This will help preserve Medicare into the future by eliminated the $500 billion theft from the Medicare trust fund to pay for Obanacare for non seniors.

We already have health insurance. We have real jobs and support our families the way people should. Just because your lazy ass doesn‘t want to work for a living doesn’t mean we should pay for your “needs” and heal you whilst you leach more and more away while contributing nothing.
